Monday
Phyllis, Nicholas and Victoria admired the new Restless Style cover with
Vicky on it. Victoria had trouble enjoying herself, though, as she was still
depressed over her friendship with Sabrina ending. Vicky admitted that she
didn't trust Sabrina, especially with her old boyfriend showing up in town.
Adrian showed Sabrina a draft of her interview. She complimented his work,
then filled him in on her argument with Victoria. Adrian believed it would
blow over. Meanwhile, Jack made calls to his contact so that the article
could get changed to his specifications.
Jill was surprised when Katherine mentioned that she'd hired a new person at
Jabot — and annoyed that her mom did it behind her back. Kay replied that
Jill has been too preoccupied with Jeffrey. Jill didn't think Kay trusted
Jill's instincts.... Brad believed that he'd soon be able to take over
Jabot. Later, Jill paid Brad a visit and said she had a proposition for him.
She planned to stage a takeover of the company. Brad agreed to join her.
Gloria and Jeff invited Lauren and Michael over and waited for Kevin to
arrive. Michael feared that his mother was up to something. Jack arrived and
was surprised to see the Fisher-Baldwin clan gathered in his home, but
reluctantly allowed her to host her family meeting. Soon, Kevin and Jana
joined them. Kevin was as wary about her impending news as Michael. Glo and
Jeff assured them that their marriage is for real. Gloria then informed them
that they plan to secretly purchase Jabot's stock. They all went online to
check out the possibility. Glo was determined to put her money into the
company. Michael demanded that Jeff hand over the tell-tale moisturizer if
they wanted Michael's help. Jeff agreed. Glo looked forward to getting
revenge on Jill.
Amber curled up on her couch and thought back to when she'd told Daniel
about sleeping with someone else. She cried over possibly losing him. She
was relieved when he returned home and again apologized for her "mistake."
Daniel demanded to know who she'd been with. She confessed that it was
Adrian and blamed the incriminating photo of Daniel as her excuse. Daniel
was furious and decided to move out. Later, Kay came by to comfort Amber.
Amber admitted to cheating on him. Kay was sympathetic, but firm with Amber
about what she did.... Daniel went to the Restless Style office and
confronted Phyllis about interfering with his relationship. She believed
that she was preventing her son from making a mistake by being with Amber.
Daniel demanded that Phyllis butt out. Amber arrived at work and overheard;
she thanked Daniel, but he was still angry with Amber. Later, Adrian arrived
at the office, making for a very awkward encounter with Daniel.
Jack offered Adrian a chance to write an article about Aboriginal art — but
explained that Adrian would have to leave for Australia immediately. Adrian
was hesitant to leave on such short notice.... Sabrina stopped by the
Restless Style office and apologized for disrupting the photo shoot. Phyllis
told her she needed to apologize to Victoria.... Jack admitted to Nick that
the magazine's sales figures weren't so great. Nick wasn't ready to throw in
the towel on the mag... Sabrina and Victoria got into an argument as they
tried to plan the gala. Kay stepped in and made them call a truce.... Jack
planned to make the magazine work, even if it meant taking drastic measures.
Jeff returned from the GCAC where he'd gone to retrieve the face cream.
"It's gone," he announced when he returned home.
Tuesday
Gloria was miffed over Jeffrey's claim that he couldn't find the face cream
and she suspected Alistair stole it. However, Jeff was convinced the culprit
was Kyon, his former mistress. Michael said he wouldn't help set up a dummy
corporation for his stepdad unless Jeff produced the cream. Bardwell
announced he would trek to Korea to retrieve it, but a jealous Gloria didn't
want him to and proposed she go instead. Jeff refused so Glo finally told
her husband to go to Korea without her. Just to make sure his wife wouldn't
follow, Jeff hid Gloria's passport.
Nikki informed David that she was meeting with Nick about co-sponsoring the
charity ball with Restless Style. David didn't think his involvement would
be a good idea, but agreed to attend the meeting. Later, Nikki met with her
son, who was opposed to David helping with the gala. Nikki insisted David,
"is trying to make amends and prove himself." Nick became impatient when
David didn't show up for the meeting and Nikki got worried. Meanwhile, David
was trying to convince a skeptical Jack on the sponsorship, but Abbott didn't
trust his former campaign manager. David confessed his gambling problem and
asked Jack for a chance. The men then met with Nikki and Nick and Jack said
they needed to get Sharon and Phyllis's approval.
Victoria was upset that Sabrina gave the final okay on the gala's decor
without her. Sabrina assured that it will be traditional, just like Victoria
wanted. Sabrina wanted to reach a middle ground with Victoria and she seemed
to soften. The ladies agreed to trust each other about decisions concerning
the gala.
At Restless Style, Jack announced that the latest issue would be on the
newsstands the next day. Over at the elevator, Daniel confronted Adrian
about sleeping with Amber. "It was a mistake," the professor deemed and
advised Daniel not to let Amber go. Daniel stormed away and Amber pushed
Adrian to accept Jack's assignment in Australia. He finally agreed.
Meanwhile, Daniel told Kevin that Amber slept with Adrian. Daniel said he is
moving out of his apartment but Kev suggested that his pal think things
through first.
Despite their reservations about David, Nick and Victoria agreed to Restless
Styleand Jabot co-sponsoring the gala.... Walter called David about doing
another "job." ... Daniel got upset when he witnessed Amber hugging Adrian
goodbye and announced he was moving out.
Wednesday
Nick re-emphasized to Phyllis that they needed their newest issue to sell
out if Restless Style is going to stay afloat. They were later heartened to
learn that sales were going through the roof. Curious as to why, Nick and
Phyllis read Sabrina's article and realized it wasn't the one they approved.
Nick vowed to find out who made the changes.
At GCAC, Katherine was perplexed David was put in charge of raising funds
for the charity gala. "Isn't that sort of like letting the fox into the
henhouse?" Kay asked but Nikki assured that her husband's personal issues
wouldn't be a problem. Kay was upset when Nikki also shared that Restless
Style and Jabot were co-sponsoring the event but cutting Newman Enterprises
out. David showed up with the issue of Restless Style and read passages of
Sabrina's article out loud. "'Phillipe's show at The Pompidou reinforced
what Sabrina's detractors had been saying all along,' " David recited. "
'She is an attractive woman who used her beauty to advance her career.' "
At the ranch, Sabrina found her article in Restless Style and was shocked by
what she read. "This is not the article that Adrian showed us," she gasped.
Victor was upset to read that Victoria was quoted as confirming that
Phillipe was the love of Sabrina's life. Sabrina burst into tears and Victor
grumbled, "The fact that my two children are involved is utterly
disappointing." He charged out and Katherine showed up to offer support.
Sabrina announced she was too humiliated to attend the pre-gala luncheon
that day but Kay advised, "You just continue on about your business and keep
your head held high." Sabrina became more upset when Kay shared that
Victoria had approved a co-sponsorship between Jabot and Restless Style.
At the Abbott home, Jack suggested to Sharon that controversy would improve
magazine sales. "If I had free rein to run the magazine as I saw fit, I
could turn it into something that has a broader appeal," Jack noted but
Sharon reminded him that Nick wouldn't go for that approach. She could tell
her husband was hiding something so he confessed to re-editing Sabrina's
article. Sharon was infuriated that Jack lied and also made decisions on his
own.
Victor raged at Nick for printing the article and demanded a retraction. "I
am not retracting anything until I can double-check this for myself," Nick
explained and Victor ordered his son to "fix this." After Victor left in a
huff, Nick discovered from the printers that Jack phoned in the last-minute
changes to the article.
Daniel snarked at Amber about the "hatchet job" Adrian wrote on Sabrina....
Colleen couldn't believe that her ex would write such tabloidy stuff....
Nikki warned Victoria that Sabrina's article could cause some supporters to
pull out.... Daniel told his mother that he moved out of Amber's apartment
but told Phyllis if she fired Amber that "I will never speak to you again."
... Katherine chastised Victoria for not including Sabrina on the
co-sponsorship decision.... Victor urged a dispirited Sabrina to attend the
pre-gala luncheon.... Daniel told Amber that his mother had blocked Amber's
computer from getting his emails but they still weren't getting back
together. Daniel also requested that Amber not tell anyone that they broke
up over Adrian.... Nick showed up at Jack's house.... At the pre-gala
luncheon, Phyllis complained bitterly about Jack to Sharon. Everyone was
surprised when Sabrina arrived, with Victor at her side.
Thursday
At the pre-gala luncheon, Victor confronted Sharon and Phyllis. "When I'm
finished with all of you, there will be nothing left of this magazine," he
growled. Victor turned on Victoria next but Nikki jumped in with, "Maybe
instead of blindly defending your wife, you might want to look at those
accusations." Victor got even angrier when Katherine informed him that Jabot
and Restless Style were the sole sponsors of the gala. Victor shocked Nikki
with the news that David's ex-stepdaughter was recently found dead. Phyllis
told Sharon she was putting Adrian's original article about Sabrina on the
web site. Sharon thought it was a bad idea but Phyllis sneered, "Try to stop
me."
"You went too far by sabotaging this article on Sabrina, and I'm tired of
it," Nick raged at Jack. "I want you out of Restless Style." Jack refused
and said he was willing to do the "dirty work" to make the magazine a
success. After Nick left, Victor dropped by and threatened a lawsuit that
would break Restless Style. "Maybe you should take your anger out on someone
who really deserves it... your wife," said an unruffled Jack but Victor
pointed out that John Abbott would be ashamed of his "despicable excuse for
a son." That peeved Jack and he ordered Victor to leave.
At Crimson Lights, Lily told Colleen about Chloe's claims that she had sex
with a drunken Cane. Colleen walked over to Chloe and advised her to leave
Genoa City. After, Colleen got riled about Amber hooking up with Adrian so
she went over to Restless Style to vent. Colleen called Amber a slut and
soon they were catfighting, Daniel broken them up and escorted an upset
Colleen out. Chloe showed up and Amber gave her a tour of the loft. After,
Chloe blabbed that she had car sex with Cane.
While investigating Mia's fatal overdose, Paul asked David why he called his
former step daughter a couple of weeks ago. Chow explained he was trying to
make amends as part of his 12-step program but never spoke to her. Paul then
revealed that Mia had died of an overdose and David seemed surprised. "I
think he's involved in this," Paul later surmised to J.T. "There's too many
dead bodies connected to him." Paul also revealed that he has someone
secretly tailing Nikki to protect her.
Daniel and Colleen commiserated about their sorry love lives.... Jana and
Kevin consulted the Ouija board to find out if Daniel and Amber would
reconcile. Jana freaked when she got a message that she and Kevin are headed
for catastrophe.... At the end of the luncheon, Nikki warned Sabrina that
Victor is "meddling in my life, trying to control it, which he is bound to
do to you as soon as the honeymoon is over." ... Cane and Lilly made plans
to look at houses so he could buy one.... Phyllis was happy to see Daniel
and Colleen hanging out.... Paul overheard Nikki tell David that she bought
a house and put both their names on the deed. Paul passed the info to
Victor.... Chloe announced her job availability to Restless Style. Jack,
Sharon, Phyllis and Nick agreed to hire her, then found out that the mag
sold out in all major markets. But both men confided into their wives that
they wanted their partner out.
Friday
At Restless Style, Nick was peeved as Jack basked in the success of their
hot-selling issue. The web site was also getting so many hits that Phyllis
feared it would crash. Victoria was upset with Jack for quoting her in the
article while Phyllis relayed to him Victor's threat of a lawsuit. "He does
not have a legal leg to stand on," Jack chirped.
Sabrina balked at Victor's suggestion of having "reputable journalists"
write another feature on her. After Sabrina headed out to meet with Jana,
Victor told Adam to find the CEO of every advertiser in Restless Style.
"I'll call them first thing in the morning," Victor explained. "By the end
of day, Restless Style will have no advertisers left." Victor approved
Adam's earlier plan to leak David's gambling problem to the press, then
instructed Michael to sue the magazine for libel. Victor also ordered
Michael to draw up a new will that would disinherit Victoria and Nick.
Paul was surprised to receive a letter from Mina that was postmarked the day
before she died. It turned out she sent the same letter to David. Part of
the contents read: "I'll work till my dying day to prove you killed my
mother ... I know all about Jupiter." Both Paul and J.T. didn't know what
the Jupiter reference meant but Williams concluded, "This really doesn't
sound like a letter written by someone suicidal."
On the way to the movies, Neil and Karen stopped by Indigo to see how Tyra
was doing as manager. Neil was impressed that despite one of the waitresses
called in sick and the toilet in the women's bathroom backed up (eewww),
Tyra had everything under control. Devon and Roxanne, the babysitters,
showed up with Ana.
During her meeting with Jana at Crimson Lights, Sabrina was accosted by a
reporter. "What was Victor Newman's reaction after being betrayed by his
wife and children?" queried the journalist but Jana threw him out. Nick
appeared and tried to apologize to Sabrina but she cut him off. Later,
Victoria didn't fare any better. "You and your brother, neither one of you
can stand to see Victor happy," Sabrina charged at her former BFF.
Jack was relieved when Sharon told him, "I've got to stop fighting against
the real Jack Abbott. I've got to stop asking you to be someone who you're
not, because if you can't be yourself when you're around me, then what kind
of marriage do we really have? You saved the magazine. I know you were
protecting me, and I love you for that." ... Victoria was upset when her
mother announced that she bought an estate in both her and David's names but
Nikki revealed that her husband will never be able to borrow against the
house.... Nick couldn't get additional funding to buy Jack out of the
magazine.... At Indigo, J.T. was wowed by Ana's singing.... Adam became
concerned when he couldn't reach Skye.... Victor ordered Nick to move out of
the tack house and off the ranch.... Walter called David, who said, "I've
changed my mind. I'm not interested." ... Paul uncovered David's real
identity when he found an old photo of Chow and Walter at the Jupiter Club.
