Monday
Chance confessed to Chloe about his night with Heather. Chloe didn't know what to say and simply muttered, "When?" Chance apologized for his mistake and Chloe reminded him how he hadn't wanted to be with her. "I hate myself right now," he sighed. "Not as much as I hate myself," Chloe cried. "I finally let myself be happy and my heart gets ripped out of my chest." She couldn't even look at him, but he promised that he'd never cheat on her again. "Can you undo the first time?" she asked, adding that she'd never expected this from him, even though she knew that Heather had been going after him. Chance insisted that he was waiting for her and that he loves her. "I didn't know that it was possible to ever love someone so much," he stated. Chloe understandably doubted his words. Chance urged her to tell him off and asked if they could start over. She begged him to stop talking and stormed out of the Chancellor Estate.
Meanwhile, Christine informed Paul and Heather that Ronan is an undercover cop and not "dirty." They were shocked. Heather noted that Chance is still being framed; Christine admitted that she and Ronan did indeed plant drugs in Chance's car. Chris explained that they were protecting him so that Chance wouldn't appear to be a threat to the drug ring. She implored them not to tell Nina -- or Chance -- the truth. Paul doubted that Nina would let this go, but promised to get Chance to back off. Ronan warned that Chance was still in danger, but if Heather told Chance or Nina, all of them could be in trouble. Paul and Heather agreed to keep quiet. Later, Paul and Chris sat down for beers at Jimmy's, where he called Chance. He told Chance that things are never as bad as they look and asked him not to tail Heather. Chance agreed. Still, Paul wondered how he was going to lie to Nina without destroying her trust. Chris reminded him that they're protecting her. Later, they discussed Patty and Heather and Paul wished he could've done more for his loved ones.
Nina stopped by the Chancellor Estate with food for Chance, but he wasn't hungry. He revealed that he'd screwed up his relationship to Chloe. Nina didn't believe that her son meant to hurt Chloe and asked him to consider why he'd cheated. She believed that he threw himself into the relationship, but Chance insisted that he'd wanted to be with Chloe... Heather and Ronan dined at her place. He noted that things are complicated between her and Chance -- and apologized for telling Pomerantz about her being with Chance. Heather replied that Ronan was good at playing the cocky cop, but was grateful that he was on their side. He implored her to do what he says in order to stay out of danger. Later, Ronan stepped away for a moment and Chloe paid Heather a visit. "You wanted Chance and you sure as hell got him, and now you get to deal with me," Chloe began. Heather apologized and stated that Chance loves Chloe. "Go to hell," Chloe spat. Heather insisted that they hadn't planned to be together, but Chloe listed all of Heather's "mistakes," including Adam and Billy. She then called Heather a slut, but Heather kept her cool and taunted Chloe about Chance easily being with her when he'd made Chloe wait for so long. Chloe slapped her rival.... Chance vowed to make things right with Chloe and to get his job back, as well.... Ronan returned and broke up the catfight by picking up Chloe and carrying her out of the apartment.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack was upset with Emily for wanting to help Patty after all they'd been through. He wanted Patty out of their lives for good and accused Emily of choosing Patty over him. Emily reminded him that Patty is making progress, but Jack didn't trust that she wouldn't snap. Jack asked her to stay away from Patty and Emily began to cry. She promised not to put him through anymore pain and to put their relationship first. "She's gone," Em assured him. She and Jack kissed.
In the mental hospital, Patty became more convinced that she hadn't killed anyone. As she fell asleep, a disguised Adam crawled into the hospital through an air vent and made his way toward Patty's room. Patty again had the dream where she fell into the basement of the G.C.A.C. and kept muttering that she "didn't do it." Adam finally reached her room and quietly crept toward her bed. He then grabbed her journal and flipped through it, tearing out the pages where she stated that she didn't kill anyone. Instead, he scribbled out some blueprints in the diary. Patty stirred and asked if she was dreaming; Adam replied that she wasn't. Patty sat up and Adam introduced himself as the spirit of Hightower, who was unable to cross over. Patty stated that she hadn't killed anyone. "Hightower" accused her of killing him and instructed her to leave with him. Patty feared that he'd take her to Hell, but he said that he was taking her to the "answer." First, Patty opened her journal and wrote something in it; she then turned to the "ghost" and said that she's ready. "Trust me with your soul and I can save you," he promised. Patty grabbed Adam's hand and followed; the camera then turned to the note which said, "Paul, I needed to run away." Adam led Patty outside and gave her a nun's habit. He explained that she was going to go to Canada, where she could do the work of the Lord and pay for her crimes. She put on the outfit and agreed. "Tell Jack I'll never forget him," she requested.
Tuesday
Ashley barged in on Jack and Emily to rant about Abby. "I can barely stand to look at her anymore," Ash griped, then asked Emily for advice on handling Abby. "Let her know you love her, but you won't be manipulated into giving her what she wants," Em suggested.
Abby was depressed that the press didn't show up for her arraignment. She was also hurt that her family didn't visit. Daniel showed up and Abby was a little distressed that he didn't have money for bail but refused to let him call her parents for help. Jack finally showed up and paid his niece's bail.
Lily and Cane were elated to learn that she was being released from the hospital because her blood count looks good. "Our babies saved my life," Lily trilled. She felt bad about leaving the twins behind at the hospital but Cane assured their kids will be fine. The Ashbys went home, where Lily felt relieved to be back in her house. Meanwhile, Mac was still going through postpartum blues and J.T. convinced her to pay the babies a visit at the hospital. There, Mac was shocked to learn that Lily had been released and left the babies behind.
Paul and Owen discovered that Patty's room is empty. A search of the hospital proved she was no longer in the building. Paul then found that the vent cover was loose and it was easily determined that Patty left through the ventilation system. Paul then caem across his sister's note that read, "Paul, I had to run away. Good-bye.. Patty." Paul surmised that Adam was behind his sister's escape, then called Emily to report Patty's disappearance.
Adam and Skye went over the details of their alibi for the night before: They went to the casino together, then Adam slipped out the back while Skye's friend wore Adam's hat and took his place. Paul and Owen arrived and Williams accused Adam of helping Patty to escape. Adam explained that he and Skye were at the casino but Paul wasn't convinced. Owen had to drag Paul out but promised they would check out Adam's alibi.
With Patty still on the loose, Ashley and Emily hunkered down in the Abbott mansion. Em worried that Patty will become violent without her medication. Jack returned and shared that Abby is with Daniel.
At Crimson Lights, Abby told Daniel that the food was awful behind bars. She then decided to grab publicity by campaigning for better meals for cons but Daniel urged her to stick to animal rights. Daniel escorted Abby to the Abbott estate, where she treated Ashley coldly for not coming to the jail for a visit. Paul showed up and announced his suspicions that Adam helped Patty to escape.
Adam was surprised when Skye asked if he murdered Hightower but he insisted that he is innocent.... Abby pointed out that the house Ashley lives in belongs to Abby and she ordered her mom to vacate.... Owen confirmed for Paul and Jack that Adam's alibi checked out and that only Patty's fingerprints were found on the ventilation system. Jack was upset when Emily offered her help.... Cane and Lily returned to the hospital and were overjoyed when they could hold their babies. Mac and J.T. watched them from afar and she became emotional.
Wednesday
At the Chancellor Estate, Chloe received a birthday card from Phillip III, calling her his future daughter-in-law. She sadly put the card down when Katherine and Jill entered the living room, still arguing about Lauren. Nina came downstairs and told Chloe that some relationships aren't meant to be. Esther brought Delia to Chloe to cheer her up and then brought out a birthday cake. However, Chloe wasn't in the mood to celebrate. Instead, Esther suggested that they enjoy some time together — and actually sat down to read a story to Chloe and Delia. Chloe felt asleep and had a dream in which everyone was attending a ball except for her — and Cane and Billy were princes. Jill and Nina arrived and Chloe called them the "Wicked Fashion Victims." Meanwhile, Kay appeared as Chloe's Fairy Godmother and zapped Chloe into a ball gown. Chloe then shared a dance with a handsome stranger. Later in her fantasy, Cane arrived with a sparkly shoe, but when Chloe tried it on, it didn't fit. However, it fit Lily's foot perfectly. Billy then entered with another shoe, which didn't fit, either. But it did fit Victoria. Prince Chance arrived next with his shoe ... but gave it to Heather. "No!" Chloe cried. "You're not allowed to live happily ever after and I get nothing!" Chloe awoke and declared it the worst dream ever. She decided that she doesn't need a man or a fairy tale and just needs to make things happen. She then called Chance and asked him to meet her at Jimmy's.
Ronan and Heather went to Crimson Lights and tried to get along. Chance arrived and asked if Heather could help him get the file on Riggs' case. Heather agreed, provided he didn't do anything crazy. A man watched them and made a call about Heather. Chance got a call from Chloe and was determined to make things right with her.... Heather wondered what she was supposed to do about giving Chance the file.... Chloe called Ronan and also asked him to come to Jimmy's.
In the hospital, Lily and Cane sat holding their twins, but were told by the doctor that they should go home while the babies got some tests done.
Neil and Sophia dined at the G.C.A.C. to discuss business. He complained that she was making all of the decisions, but she reminded him that they're on the same team. Devon then called and Neil went to meet him at Lily's place.
A dressed up Victoria met Billy at the coffeehouse. Lauren and Michael entered and Billy sheepishly asked if he should call Lauren "Aunt." Lauren didn't find it amusing and Michael didn't think that they should discuss it because of Jill's lawsuit. Billy understood how stubborn Jill could be and told Lauren that he's feeling for her. Lauren appreciated it. After, he and Victoria headed out together.... Lauren realized that Fenmore now had cousins and thought about meeting the new family halfway.
Lily and Cane returned home and found her family waiting for her with a surprise party in store. Malcolm announced that his fiancee was in town. Sophia then arrived and Mal greeted her with a kiss. Sophia quckly made friends with the family, but Neil was angry with Mal for not telling him about her sooner, and didn't trust her. Later, Neil told Lily that Sophia works for Tucker, but Lily noted how happy she and Mal are. Lily made a speech about how this year is going to be about hope and not fear. She welcomed Sophia to the family. Sophia was about to leave for a meeting, but Neil followed her and asked what she's up to. She replied that he has a great family and asked if they could trust each other.
Victoria and Billy went to Jimmy's, where they played a drinking game. Billy was impressed with her beer pong abilities. Chloe arrived and he reminded her that she has to keep climbing back up in her life. Chloe hugged him, then sat down with Ronan. He asked what she wanted and she explained that it's her birthday. He concluded that she called him down there to stick it to Chance.... Sid guarded Heather as she whined about the heat. He didn't notice when she suddenly left, then got up to chase after her.... Ronan shared a dance with Chloe and guessed that she was waiting for Chance to arrive. Chance then walked in with flowers and stared at the pair in shock. He was ready to pummel Ronan, but Billy stopped him. Ronan told him to go home; Chance dumped the flowers on the floor and stormed out, saying that he was going to check on Heather. Chloe didn't believe that Heather was really in trouble.... Heather entered a cab and was locked in by the driver, who was a thug. She screamed for help and kicked out the car windown in a desperate attempt to escape. Chance and Sid arrived and found an hysterical Heather running from the car. Chance tried to comfort her.... Billy and Victoria returned to his trailer and kissed.... Ronan and Chloe kissed.
Kay and Jill argued yet again over Lauren as an exasperated Nina listened. Lauren and Michael then stopped by and asked to speak with Jill alone. Lauren became emotional as she relayed how close she and her father had been — and how she loved being his one and only. However, Lauren acknowledged that her father had another child and wanted to try to make things right with Jill. "We're a lot alike," Lauren noted. "Kids and grandkids are reason to try harder." Jill was pleased, but then brought up the court case — and an argument ensued. Jill didn't believe that Lauren was being genuine and told her to shove it. Michael, Nina and Kay tried to stop their fight, to no avail. "It's on!" Lauren seethed to Michael. Kay told Nina to look on the bright side: "When you find your son, it can't possibly be worse than this." Kay.
Thursday
Tucker told Ashley he was desperate to find proof that Victoria used bribery to secure a big business deal. Ash said she would check with Billy to see if he uncovered any dirty details. She called her brother and arranged a meeting and he blabbed to Victoria that Ashley and Tucker were trying to get info on her biz trip to Japan. Victoria sniffed that nothing unusual went down, but he sensed she was holding back and called her on it. "I thought we were passed these games," he griped and left.
At Crimson Lights, Nick was worried about Sharon when she wouldn't answer her phone and Jack assured that she was all right. Nick surmised that Sharon was at the Abbott cabin, which Adam overheard.
Jack asked Abby for bank statements related to her trust funds, but she needed time to request them... At the G.C.A.C., Victor consoled Phyllis about the breakup of her marriage with Nick, then handed her a settlement with lots of zeroes so she could live quite comfortably for the rest of her life. Phyl was insulted by the payoff and refused to sign. "I'm not going to be bought," she declared and walked out. Vic then got a call about Abby requesting documents.... Abby brought a messy pile of papers to the Abbott mansion. Jack found a document that showed the large amount of just one of her trust funds. Abby was flabbergasted. Her dad then called and summoned her to the club. Abby showed up at the G.C.A.C., where Victoria was waiting too. Victor asked Abby why she was researching her trust accounts and she revealed that she now knows what she's really worth and wanted her money. Victoria tried to reason with her sister, but Abby said she wanted to build her own empire. Victor warned that she would be "an old woman" before she saw a dime of her trust fund. He then suspected that Abby is being coached by someone and she confirmed it.
Ashley and Tucker were frustrated when Billy wasn't cooperative about their plan to nail Victor in the Japanese market. Tucker offered Billy a high-paying executive job but, Bill wasn't impressed. He refused to tell them anything that would hurt Victoria and deemed the Abbott/Newman feud as "stupid."
Sharon was surprised when Nick showed up at the Abbott cabin, but she softened when he said he wanted to visit their daughter. Sharon invited Nick to stay for dinner and he happily accepted.
At Crimson Lights, Adam taunted Phyllis that Nick went to the Abbott cabin to see Sharon. Phyllis accused Adam of trying to goad her into going to the cabin to get Nick, thus leaving Sharon still available for Adam. He walked away and Phyllis fought the urge to see her husband. In between calls on job leads, she remembered the bad times with Nick. She then started driving up to the cabin but got a flat tire, just as it started raining,
Abby returned to the Abbott mansion and Jack announced that she's much Richer than she thought, thanks to her other holdings. "You deserve to be taken seriously," Jack pointed out. As Abby was leaving, Victor showed up. "I knew you were behind this," Vic snarled to Jack... Billy informed Victoria that he figured out she bribed the Japanese official with an expensive antique. Victoria copped to it but he promised never to tell anyone.... Ashley suggested to Tucker that he talk to Jill in case Billy mentioned something to his mother about the Newman business dealings.... As Phyllis tried to change her tire, she was surprised when Deacon stopped to help her.... After Nick left the cabin, Sharon was shocked when Adam showed up on the doorstep.
Friday
Abby ran into Ashley at Crimson Lights, but was cold toward her mother. Ashley reported that she's moving into the Abbott mansion, but Abby didn't care, as long as her mom couldn't get to her trust fund. Ashley repeated that Abby isn't marture enough to touch the cash; Abby argued that her mom won't give her a chance to prove that she's responsible.
Victor accused Jack of using Abby the way he'd try to use Colleen against him. Jack told Vic not to blame him if he can't control his daughter. He then noted that Victor likes to manipulate his children. Ashley returned home and found the men arguing. Victor announced that Jack was exploiting their daughter. Ashley was angry with Jack for helping Abby turn against them and demanded that he not give his niece anymore financial advice. Jack promised that he wasn't going to manipulate her. Jack called Abby and asked to talk. She was about to leave the coffeehouse, but Victor entered and filled her in on his conversation with Jack. Abby replied that she can find another financial advisor, but Victor was confident that she wouldn't be able to touch her funds.
Phyllis's car broke down in the rain near the Abbott cabin. Who should come by but Deacon, who offered to help. She turned him down. He insisted that he's not a bad guy, but she didn't agree. She then hurt her hand when she tried to change the tire and Deacon rushed to assist her. He removed his shirt so he could wrap up her hand, but she didn't want him to help her anymore.
In the storm, Adam paid Sharon and Faith a visit at the Abbott cabin. Sharon was terrified to see him, but he told her not be afraid. He asked to talk and admitted that he doesn't love Skye the way he does Sharon. Sharon didn't care and wanted him away from her family; she reminded him that their marriage was a lie because he'd tricked her. Adam recalled their love, but she asked him to leave. Nick then entered and told his brother to go, then threatened Adam with a restraining order. After, Nick wanted to take Sharon back to town, but she refused and asked him to leave, as well. Nick suggested she take the gun that he keeps in his car since Patty was also on the loose. Sharon reluctantly agreed.... Nick went outside and found Phyllis in her car and joined her inside the vehicle. Phyllis explained that she wanted to see if he'd follow Sharon. She then told Nick that his settlement offer was insulting and stated that Nick is just like his father. Nick denied knowing anything about it. Phyllis didn't care and didn't think that Nick had cared about their marriage. "I did everything for you," she noted. "I thought you were Prince Charming or something, but I guess it was a dream.... I sat there like an idiot, smiling, while you chased after Sharon."
Kevin prayed that Ryder would should up for his trial the next day. Chloe entered the coffeehouse and asked if she could move back in. She sadly told Kevin how Chance had cheated on her, and how she'd tried to make him jealous with Ronan. Kevin felt badly, especially when she revealed that it's her birthday -- and handed her a key to his apartment.
Paul informed Christine that the rain brought the search for Patty to a halt. Chris then got an call about the attempt made on Heather's life.... Chance tried to comfort Heather at her place. Ronan wanted to get details on the driver who'd attacked her, but Chance attacked him for having left Heather by herself. Ronan reminded him that he's no longer on the force. Heather explained that she'd stepped out to get some air. Chance noted that Ronan had left to spend time with Chloe. Paul and Christine arrived and Chance told Paul to keep Ronan away from Heather. Another fight broke out between the guys and Paul broke it up. Chance promised to call Heather and left. Christine reamed out Chance for letting Heather get into danger.... Chloe made her way to Kevin's place and ran into Chance in the lobby. Chance coldly informed her that while she was trying to make him jealous, Heather was almost killed. Chloe refused to take the blame. Chance asked why she'd tried to make him jealous; she replied that she wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine. "I've seen the real you and now you've seen the real me," she shrugged. "So now, we're even." Chance wished she'd talked to him first, but she retorted that he didn't have the right to lecture her. She added that she likes bad guys and enjoyed kissing Ronan. Chance was hurt and warned her that she could be in danger if she hangs around Ronan. She answered that she can take care of herself.
Paul reminded Ronan that he was supposed to be protecting Heather round the clock. Ronan noted that his superior was supposed to be guarding Heather and she'd stepped out on her own.... Kevin came home and Chloe filled him in on her fight with Chance, and how Chance was blaming her for Heather's situation. Kevin cheered her up by giving her a cupcake and singing her a terrible birthday rap.... Chance and Ronan ran into each other in front of the building and Chance accused Ronan of being a dirty cop. They began kicking and punching each other, rolling around on the pavement in the rain.... Christine tried to get a lead on the guy who'd been driving the car. She told Paul that she was working on the case because it involved him and Heather. They were grateful for her help. Paul stayed with his daughter and promised that it would be okay.... Christine went downstairs and found Chance and Ronan engaged in a violent fight. She broke it up and sent Chance home.
Victor and Ashley met at the coffeehouse to discuss Abby. Ashley wondered if they should compromise and give her some of the money, but Victor didn't think it was a good idea.... Abby went to the Abbott mansion and told Jack that she's going to hire someone to help her with her money. Jack replied that he'd still help her if she kept it secret from her parents. Later, they went to the coffeehouse and Abby sat down with her parents, while Jack hung out near the door. They agreed to give her some of her trust, provided that she stop exposing herself in public. Ashley handed her a check, but Abby turned it down and vowed to get all of her money.
Nick left Phyllis's car and Deacon returned. Phyllis asked Deacon to kiss her so Nick could see them together.... Sharon heard someone trying to get into the cabin. She grabbed the gun and shot as the person entered. It was Adam. Sharon cradled him and screamed for help.
