Monday
Emily awakened in Patty's padded cell and was visited by Paul. She asked if he did a DNA test, but he hadn't. She kept saying that she's not Patty, but Paul just believed that his sister was obsessed with Dr. Peterson. "I'm Dr. Emily Peterson and I'm begging you to do the DNA test," she said calmly.
At the hospital, Patty (as Emily) questioned Adam about giving Ashley Sharon's baby. Adam insisted that none of the accusations were true. Patty recalled Adam asking her to wear Sabrina's purple dress so that he could make Ashley freak out. She asked why Jack would help the Newmans in accusing Adam, but he just kept saying that he didn't do anything wrong and was held at the cabin against his will. "Emily" asked what happened to Ashley over the summer and he accused Patty (unaware that he was actually speaking with her) of being the one to gaslight Ash. He then admitted that he'd end his life if he could because he had nothing left. "Emily" insisted that he needed her expert help.... Paul arrived at the hospital and demanded that "Emily" be taken off of "Patty's" case.
Phyllis was taken to the hospital after she was injured in a car crash.... Nick and Sharon were prepared to get a DNA test done on Faith. Nick then got a call from the hospital about Phyllis. She yelled in pain when the doctors examined her leg and pleaded for them to get her husband.
At Crimson Lights, Daniel admitted to Amber that he's worried about Lily. Amber asked if she should be jealous, but he said that she shouldn't. He then got a call about Phyllis and rushed to the hospital with Amber.
At Immigration, Lily was questioned about Cane's escape, but Lily stated that she didn't know where he is. Michael arrived to help her out; Lily told Devon, Malcolm and Neil that she really didn't know where he is. Lily then tearfully explained how she'd lied to Cane about her test results so he'd leave town, but then gave in and told him the truth — that the chemo didn't work. The guys promised to be there for her, no matter what.... Cane arrived at Billy's trailer and asked for his help. Billy soon went to Immigration, lying that he was doing a story on immigration law. He feigned surprise when they told him about Cane's escape, gave Lily a hug and then suddenly left. Devon and Neil suspected that something was going on. Lily asked if she could be alone for a moment and went outside. Neil believed that Billy knew more than he was letting on.... Neil filled in Michael on Lily's cancer returning. Michael felt badly for Cane and Lily. Neil told him that he thinks that Billy knows where Cane is.... Lily went to the trailer and embraced Cane. Billy gave them some time alone. Lily asked what Cane will do if she doesn't make it, but he insisted on being there to help her fight her cancer. Lily then got a call from Devon. She confessed that she's with Cane, but asked Devon to keep her secret. However, Michael implored Devon to tell him where they were and he revealed that they're at Billy's trailer. Michael instructed Neil to get to the trailer before Immigration did.
Sharon went to the hospital with Nick, where they met up with Jack, Amber and Daniel. The doctor told them that Phyllis fractured her leg, but they were testing to see if she had any internal injuries. Jack noted that Phyllis had been at the Abbott cabin and wondered why she'd been there.... Ashley admitted to Victor that if Sharon turned out to be Faith's mother, she's not prepared to say good-bye to the baby. Victor understood, but acknowledged that the DNA test needed to be done.... Nick sat with Phyllis, who was giddy from the pain medication. He asked why she was at the cabin, then found Faith's memorial plaque in her bag.... Victor and Ashley arrived at the hospital with Faith. Victor told Sharon that he wants the test done that night so they could find out who the mother is, as soon as possible. Nick showed the crowd the plaque and wished he'd been there with his wife.... Billy went to the hospital to meet up with Jack. Jack and Ashley told him that they're getting a DNA test done on Faith. Ashley insisted that she's okay with it. "Emily" ran into the Abbotts and reported that she was appointed by the court to evaluate Adam, and that it was possible that Adam didn't know what he was doing. Jack and Billy were incredulous.
Sharon visited Adam and angrily told him that he had her completely snowed. Adam declared that he loves her and even remembered the exact day that he fell for her. "You don't know what love is," she snapped. He reminded her how he'd saved Noah from the fire and couldn't understand why Sharon was giving up on him. Sharon became emotional as she noted that he had been kind to her and begged him to tell her where Faith is. Adam replied that if Sharon leaves him, he won't make it and lied that he doesn't know where Faith is. He even swore on his mother's grave. Sharon didn't believe him.
Amber stopped in to see how Phyllis was doing.... Nick returned to his wife. He assured Phyllis that no matter what happened with Faith, they'd still have each other. The doctor gave them the good news that other than her leg being broken, she was going to be fine. Nick was ready to wait on her and be her "personal slave."
Patty visited Emily and complained to Em how needy her patients are. Emily warned that one day the ruse would completely fall apart. Paul went to the mental ward and informed her that he'd arranged for there to be a hearing the next day so that "Emily" could no longer treat "Patty." After he left, Patty pulled out a syringe and injected Emily with a stimulant. Emily feared that the substance would kill her, but Patty just wanted her to be a basket case at the hearing.
Neil found Lily and Cane at the trailer. The Immigration officers arrived to take Cane away and she broke down. After, she accused Devon of betraying her, but Neil assured her to have faith in Michael. Michael joined them and announced that Cane is now allowed to stay in the country as long as Lily is sick. Michael then got the word about Phyllis and went to the hospital with Malcolm. Cane promised Lily that nothing will keep them apart.
Sharon joined Ashley and Victor in the hospital lobby as Victor informed them that they were doing a DNA test right then. Sharon thanked Ashley, who sadly replied that it was the right thing to do.
Tuesday
Michael went with Paul to the mental ward, optimistic that he could get "Emily" taken off of "Patty's" case at the hearing. They went to get "Patty" and found her a mess on the floor. Emily informed them that she'd been drugged by Patty and that her heart was racing. Paul assured his "sister" that everything would be fine. Emily cried and said that she's not ready for the hearing. Paul calmly explained that she's just having a manic episode; Em snapped that she knows this because she's a psychiatrist. Paul wouldn't listen and kept insisting that she just needs to wait for her meds to kick in. Emily stated that she's not Patty. Paul implored her to get control over herself. Emily asked to see Jack because she was confident that he'd recognize her.... At the Abbott mansion, Patty put on a respectable-looking suit and practiced speaking to the judge as Emily would. Jack interrupted and was concerned with how nervous she was. "Emily" explained that she's worried about "Patty," but Jack reminded her that she's done everything she could to help her patient. He believed that Patty was beyond help and feared that the case was hurting his wife. "You're not yourself," he told "Emily." No kidding. He didn't think she should stay on the case, but "Emily" insisted.
Victoria kept Victor company as they awaited the results of Faith's DNA test. She confessed that she told J.T about what happened with Adam at the cabin, and that J.T is now suing for full custody of Reed. Victor was aghast, but Victoria asked him to not get involved.... Mac ran into J.T at the athletic club, where he was making calls about getting custody. He admitted that he doesn't think that Victoria is a bad mother, and that it's Victor he has the problem with. Mac asked if he's prepared to take on the Newmans. He didn't want to risk Victor having too much influence over Reed.... Victor promised his daughter that she won't lose her son.
Chloe, who was visiting an injured Phyllis, ran into Chance at the hospital. Chance explained that he was there to take Adam's statement. Chloe quizzed Chance about the special night he had planned, but he said that it "slipped his mind." Chloe suspected that her beau had a surprise planned.... Chance stopped by Adam's room and Adam began to state that whatever Chance has heard, he hasn't gotten the full story. He then told Chance that he's the victim and that a "lynch mob" took him hostage. He named all of the people who'd been at the cabin and Chance was surprised to hear that Heather was one of them.... At Restless Style, Jill told Billy that she's putting together a story on Adam. She was prepared to put it online. Billy filled her in on Faith being Sharon and Nick's baby and Jill was shocked. She was ready to write about this, too, but Billy refused to let her cover a story about his sister. Jill argued that Ashley's better off having them write about it than the tabloids. Billy put his foot down and said that they're not covering it. Chloe arrived at work and showed him a colorful bikini as a trend they could use in an article. Chance followed and everyone asked what Adam had said. Jill laughed when Chance said that he couldn't tell "the press," since she's his grandmother. Billy implored Jill to leave him alone. Chloe again asked Chance about his "surprise" that he planned for her, but all he had for her was a pacifier of Delia's she'd left at the house. Chloe was disappointed. Chance then asked Billy about what had happened at the cabin.
Jill brought flowers to Adam's hospital room and introduced herself. Adam told her to get out, but Jill took a seat by his bed and said that she wanted his side of the story. Adam was intrigued. Jill asked him point-blank if he kidnapped Sharon's baby and gave her to Ashley. Adam replied that he was the one who'd been kidnapped. "Tell me everything," Jill pressed.... Chance quizzed Billy about Adam and Billy told him about the situation with Faith. Chloe interrupted and again asked about her surprise. Chance shooed her away, then revealed to Billy that he's taking Chloe to New York City. Billy, having begun his own romance with Chloe back in NYC, gave him some suggestions on where to take her. Still, he approved of the neighborhood where Chance and Chloe's hotel was going to be.... Adam gave Jill his story and stated that he doesn't blame Sharon because he's still in love with her. Jill assured him that they'd get his story out there.
J.T and Reed ran into Victoria at Crimson Lights, and the exes were cordial. Chloe and Mac, who were also hanging out there, eyed them and felt badly for the pair.... Chance paid Victor a visit and assured him that if Adam returns to prison, all precautions would be taken to make sure Adam was safe. Victor replied that he doesn't care if Adam never sees the light of day.... Billy ran into Victoria at the coffeehouse. She revealed that J.T is suing for custody because she told him about what had happened at the cabin. Billy hoped that the details of the incident wouldn't get out. However, Jill began to write up her story.
Paul brushed "Patty's" hair and tried to keep her calm. The orderly arrived to escort them to the hearing.... "Emily" told Jack that it's imperative that she stay involved in "Patty's" case. Jack revealed that he's been called to testify at the hearing. Later at the hearing, Michael explained that they wanted to take Emily off of Patty's case and arrange for Patty to have outside visits with Paul. Jack was then questioned about his dealings with Patty, and how she snapped after he'd rejected her. Michael asked what Emily has told him about Patty, but Jack replied that his wife won't discuss her patients with him. Outside, the real Emily complained to the orderly that she wasn't feeling well.... In the courtroom, "Emily" told the judge how important it was for her to care for "Patty," and that she doesn't want to let her patient down. "Emily" stated that "Patty" isn't ready to leave the hospital. Jack eyed his "wife" curiously as she made her statement. Outside, Emily complained that she was going to be sick, then pushed past the orderly into the courtroom. "Jack!" she called out. "We went ice skating together." "Emily" used this as evidence that "Patty" was unstable. The judge agreed with Emily and Paul's motion was denied. Michael was prepared to keep fighting on Paul's behalf. Paul was surprised, but Michael noted that "Dr. Peterson" seems to have no objectivity when it comes to "Patty."... At the Abbott mansion, Jack was upset after seeing Patty so out of control. He wondered why she'd mentioned ice skating when they'd never done the activity together. "Emily" shrugged and said that maybe they had and he forgot. She kissed Jack to get his mind off of the hearing, but he had to leave for a meeting.... At the mental ward, the real Emily sat and cried.
Wednesday
At Crimson Lights, Kevin called Lauren and asked why she hadn't yet told Michael that she kissed Paul. She promised that she would when his workload lightens up. Kevin agreed to not tell him, but wished Lauren would do it already. Daisy eavesdropped on Kevin.... Paul stopped by Lauren's office after Patty's hearing. Lauren showed him the photos that were taken of them together.... Michael and Gloria stopped by the coffeehouse and insisted that Kevin take a break. He didn't want to sit at home surrounded by Jana's things. Gloria wanted to set him up on a date with her neighbor, but Michael didn't think that was a good idea. Neither did Kevin, who believed that Jana would come home.... Ryder went to see Jana in her cage and asked if she was okay. She told Ryder that he'd better not kidnap Kevin, too. Ryder replied that Kevin has stopped looking for her.... Lauren called Michael and asked him to stop by her office. She implored him to make time so they could talk.... Daisy lurked outside the coffeehouse. She then went to the abandoned zoo and gleefully told Jana about Kevin's date. Daisy was pleased that she'd ruined Kevin and Jana's marriage and was set to destroy Michael and Lauren's next. "You're both vile!" a distraught Jana yelled. "You're both disgusting animals." She broke down as she realized that she was never getting out of the cage.
Katherine and Neil met up with Jack and Victor. She was surprised to see them there together, but Jack and Victor explained that they want to make sure that she gets back Jabot. She feared that getting Jabot back would only make Tucker angry and lamented the fact that her bond with her son fell apart so quickly.... Tucker paid Ashley a visit. She became emotional as she filled him in on the complications surrounding Faith's parentage. Tucker felt badly for her. Ashley wanted to take some videos of Faith so she could remember the baby better than she would from just a photo. He offered to record them. Ashley eagerly accepted and he taped her playing with Faith. He was clearly moved as she told the baby how much she's enjoyed their special times together.
Michael met up with Kay and the others to discuss Jabot. He suggested having a limited partnership and handed out envelopes to each of them. The others got funny looks on their faces and showed him what was in their envelopes: the incriminating pictures of Lauren and Paul. Jack was suspicious of them, noting that someone went way out of his or her way to get the photos.... Paul wasn't thrilled with Lauren's plan to tell Michael about their kiss, but Lauren promised to take all of the responsibility. Lauren admitted that she doesn't know why she's been having such extreme mood swings. Paul wondered if there had been a mix-up at the pharmacy or if someone has been intentionally drugging her. Like Jack, he was curious about who'd actually taken the photos. He advised her to stop taking her medication so he could have the pills tested. Lauren was horrified at the idea of someone going after her.... Daisy taunted Jana about having a meltdown. Ryder actually stood up for Jana and implored Daisy to "stop being such a bitch." After they left, Jana tried to bust open the door to the cage.... Gloria continued to press Kevin to go on the date. ... Jana bashed a rock against the cage door and loosened it. She then grabbed a large branch and pried it beneath the door to get some leverage. She managed to lift it slightly so that there was a space under the door.
After the Jabot meeting, Neil went to Ashley's and was surprised to find Tucker there. Tucker explained that he was making a movie of Ashley and Faith and suggested that Neil take over so she wouldn't have to be alone. After Tucker left, Neil picked up the camera and watched a cozy scene of Ashley leaning on Tucker's shoulder as she held Faith in her arms.... Tucker met up with Victor, Kay and Jack. Victor informed him that they've found a way to give Jabot back to Katherine, but Tucker replied that he's not going to give up that easily. Victor wasn't fazed.... Ashley was happy to see Neil. He asked if she wanted his company, but she said that she wanted to spend as much time as she could with Faith, even if meant watching her sleep. Neil understood, but was disappointed to have been turned down.
Michael arrived at Lauren's office and presented her with the photos he'd received. She was shocked. He explained where he'd found them. Lauren apologized and he realized that she indeed had kissed Paul. Paul tried to apologize, but Michael didn't want to hear it and ordered Paul to leave. "Just listen to her," Paul urged before departing.
Daisy and Ryder returned to the zoo and were surprised to see Jana gone. "Find her now!" Daisy demanded. Jana crawled through an alley behind the cages and tried to find her way to the end. She eventually came upon a flashlight that worked and climbed up a flight of stairs. She heard Ryder calling for her to come back, but continued to crawl around, looking for an escape. She made her way to the top row of cages and finally saw an opening — only when she reached it, she ran right into Ryder. Uh-oh...
Thursday
At the hospital, Adam received a copy of the story about the cabin incident. Adam asked to borrow a cell phone and called Victor, telling him to head to Restless Style's Web site. After, Victor asked Jill what Adam meant and warned her that if she printed Adam's lies, she'd regret it.... At the magazine, Billy read the article and wished that he could delete it. Jack arrived and blamed Billy for running the story. Billy informed him that Jill was the one who wrote it. Jack still couldn't believe that Billy had nothing to do with it. Billy didn't want to waste time arguing with his brother and was ready to leave, but Victor then stopped by. Billy again insisted that Jill was the one who was responsible for the article. Victor didn't believe him, either. Jill arrived and demanded that Victor leave her son alone. She confessed that she ignored Billy's request and decided to write the story anyway. Victor and Jack were furious; Newman blamed Billy for not stopping the article since he owns the magazine.
At the zoo, Jana almost escaped, but was caught by Ryder. She begged him to let her go, but Daisy came up from behind and cornered her. Ryder grabbed a screaming Jana and walked her back toward her cage.... Kevin met up with his date, Allison, at the G.C.A.C. They agreed that blind dates are awkward. Meanwhile, Gloria brought Jeffrey to the club so they could spy on Kevin. Jeff recognized the date and Gloria snarked that the woman was young enough to be his granddaughter.... Meanwhile, Allison told Kevin that she plays in an orchestra. He was impressed. She was impressed when he shared that he runs Crimson Lights. He then slipped and mentioned that he's married. Allison was shocked; he explained that his wife left him, but he doesn't know why.... Daisy wanted to stuff Jana into a crate. Jana begged them not to put her in there. Ryder suggested that they just find her another cage, but Daisy insisted on putting her in the small box. When she stepped away, Ryder told Jana that he's not going to put her in there.... Jeff pretended to "run into" Kevin. When Allison and Kevin joked about their date being a bust, Jeff flirted with the young woman. Gloria dragged him away, as Kevin looked on, humiliated. He then shared that he thinks Jana is his soul mate and that he doesn't feel as if their connection is gone.
At her office, Lauren tried to explain to Michael how she was probably drugged when she'd kissed Paul. Michael was still furious with her for kissing her ex-husband. Lauren reminded him how much she loves him and kissed Michael. He softened and said that he believes that she was drugged. "Who'd want to make trouble for us?" she wondered. Michael vowed to find out. Lauren then got a call from Paul about her pills. He informed her that her medication wasn't tainted. Michael made a snide comment about her not being able to trust Paul, then complained of having a headache. When he described what it felt like, Lauren noted that her headaches were exactly like that. She suddenly realized that she only got them in the office and wondered if someone had intentionally put something poisonous in there. They later went to the coffeehouse and both confirmed that their headaches were gone. Still, Michael noted, that didn't explain what happened with Paul at Jimmy's. Lauren was certain that she'd been drugged and brought up Sheila. Michael reminded her that Sheila is dead, but Lauren believed that Sheila was capable of coming back from hell to torment her. Michael made some calls and a contractor discovered that there were toxins in the office wallpaper. Michael suspected that Daisy was behind this — and could also be behind Jana's disappearance. Lauren was horrified, but Michael advised her to keep her cool around Daisy so they could gather the evidence they need. He called Mac and learned that Daisy was taking pictures at Jimmy's without her consent. He suggested they pretend that Daisy's plan to break them up is working. Just then, Daisy arrived, so they feigned an argument and Michael stepped away. Daisy approached Lauren and Lauren asked if she took the pictures. Daisy confessed to taking them, but denied putting them in the envelopes for Michael's clients. She then came up with a story about how her camera had been stolen — and blamed Ryder. Once Daisy left, Michael returned to the table and asked if Lauren really thought that Daisy was being sincere.... Jana promised to keep Ryder and Daisy's secret about their mother to her grave, as long as they let her go.... Kevin and Allison ended their date. Glo was disappointed that it was over with so quickly, but Kevin said that the only woman he wants is Jana.
Victor went to the hospital and confronted Adam. Adam accused Victor of hurting him and regretted ever accepting his father's invitation to come to town. Victor argued that he'd given his son a chance to come clean at the cabin. Victor reminded him how when he first brought Adam to town, he gave him every opportunity available, but Adam took advantage of him. "I cannot help you," Victor said sadly, as he left the room. "Only God can help you now." .... Jack and Jill continued to argue about the article. Jack warned her that Adam had used her. Billy admitted that he was one of the people at the cabin. Jack implored his brother to fire Jill, but Billy refused. Still, he told her that if she ever goes behind his back again, she's through.
Ryder admitted to Jana that he's not happy with what Daisy is doing, but that his sister is stronger than he is. Jana implored him to stand up to her. A woman (who was shown only from behind) then arrived and ordered Ryder to put Jana in the crate. Ryder obliged as Jana screamed for her life.
Friday
Nick visited Phyllis at the hospital and admitted that he can't believe that Faith might be his. Phyllis was certain that the baby is his and Sharon's. Nick wondered how Ashley would deal with the outcome. Meanwhile, Sharon stopped by the ranch and told Nikki and Victor how badly she feels about the fact that Victor might be losing a child. They appreciated her coming over. Victoria arrived and showed them the article about Adam, pointing out how Billy wasn't even mentioned in it. Sharon couldn't believe that Billy would publicize something that would hurt Ashley. Sharon called Nick and told him about the article. Nick filled in Phyllis, then again thanked her for getting to the bottom of Adam's scheme.
Billy went to Ashley's and explained to her how Jill went behind his back to write the article. Ashley didn't want to hear it and said that she couldn't deal with it right then because she was too worried about Faith. She began to cry and Billy hugged her... At the Abbott mansion, Patty spoke to Emily's portrait and complained about how Jack is spending all of his time with Ashley, and how she gets cranky when she doesn't have her "Jacky time." Jack returned home and "Emily" was thrilled to see him. He said that he can't stay because he wants to be with his sister when they get the DNA results. "Emily" complained that she misses him; he became upset, reminding her how much Ashley needs him, given her history. She apologized for being selfish, but Jack didn't have time to chat. When he stepped away, she blamed Emily's portrait for making him think that she's crazy. Patty then blamed Adam and noted that it was convenient that he's her patient.
At the hospital, Adam refused to eat and the nurse threatened to put a feeding tube in him.... Jack visited Phyllis and asked how she's holding up. She replied that she's doing her best to support Nick, and was really worried about Ashley. Jack agreed that he was also concerned. Phyllis suggested that he have Emily speak with his sister, but Jack revealed that Emily seems to be sort of jealous of the time he's spending with Ashley. Phyllis reminded him how quickly he and Em jumped into marriage.... Patty went to the hospital and was angry to see Jack with Phyllis. She eavesdropped and overheard the conversation about "Emily." Later, she went to see Adam and he told her that he keeps hearing voices and wants to die. "Emily" told him that he's suffering from depression and paranoia — or is faking it to avoid prosecution. Adam complained that she couldn't be objective. "Emily" just laughed and warned that his nightmare is only beginning. Adam threatened to have her reported, but she wasn't fazed. He then called Jack a "backstabbing rat who sucks at marriage." "Emily" defended her marriage and left. Adam thought about his shrink and realized that she's really Patty.... Patty later went to see a sleeping Phyllis and whispered that she was going to "take care" of her.
Chloe was thrilled when Chance took her to New York City. Chance promised that he has a few surprises for her, including tickets to a show and access to a trendy club. Chloe couldn't wait to begin the vacation. The cab driver smiled as they cuddled and smooched in the back street. However, it began to rain hard and it looked as if they were going to miss the show. Chloe was upset, but Chance didn't care and was ready to start their evening right there. She thought he meant he wanted to have sex in the cab, but he said that he had something else in mind first. He then presented her with an engagement ring and asked her to marry him.
Ashley held Faith and tried to explain to her what was going on. She told the baby that if Nick and Sharon turn out to be her parents, they'll give her a wonderful life. Still, she hoped that Faith would remember the time they've spent together. Soon, Victoria, Victor, Sharon and Nick arrived.... Nikki went to see Phyllis and reminded her daughter-in-law that she understands what she's going through, given that Abby turned out to be Victor's daughter. Phyllis appreciated having her there. Nikki assured her that Nick loves her.... Jack joined everyone at Ashley's and called the lab. Sharon told everyone that she spoke with a specialist about how to deal with the situation and the expert had advised that Faith should make a clean break. Ashley implored them not to plan anything until they got the test results.... Victor held Faith and thought back to the happier time when Ashley first told him that she was pregnant.... Jack returned with the results of the DNA test. Victor opened them as a nervous Ashley took the baby. His voice shook as he announced that Nick and Sharon are the parents. Ashley refused to hand over Faith, saying that it's too confusing for her and she can't say good-bye yet. She asked for just one more night with the baby. Victor kissed Ashley's head and tried to comfort her as he gently said that they can't keep her. Ashley sobbed and feared that Faith would think that she'd abandoned her. Nick and Sharon promised that she'd always be a part of Faith's life. "Oh, God," Ashley whispered, but slowly stood up and handed the baby over to Sharon. She then handed Sharon and Nick a bag full of her favorite things. "I'll love you forever," Ashley told Faith, then hurried upstairs. Nick and Sharon were torn between being happy and sad for their friend, but declared their baby "perfect.".... Billy explained to Victoria that Jill was the one who wrote the article. She didn't believe him and accused him of wanting to hurt the Newmans. Billy replied that he doesn't hate her, and in fact, likes her a lot. He then leaned in and kissed her....
