Monday
On Michael's behalf, Heather interrupted Spencer's interview with Victor but he sent her on her way. Victor then recounted the night he was on the
volcano and heard Sharon and Skye in some kind of argument. Victor affirmed
that Skye's death was clearly an accident. Spencer wanted to ask more
questions but Victor said he was finished and headed over to the
arbitration.
After talking about Adam's odd behavior, Sharon suspected that Nick was
keeping something from her. Nick said he needed to get to the arbitration
and Sharon announced she's going too so she can see Adam.
At Crimson Lights, Sofia asked Neil if he convinced Tucker to hire her back
because they slept together. Neil said they got caught up "in the moment."
Malcolm showed up with flowers for Sofia and asked her to marry him. As Neil
looked on forlornly, Sofia accepted. Mal dashed off to a photo shoot and
Neil claimed he was happy for Sofia.
At the courthouse, Heather warned Sharon that she is being manipulated by
Adam. Heather also shared that Victor gave a statement to the D.A. to help
clear Sharon of murder charges. Sharon was stunned, then returned home to
find that Adam's things were gone. She suspected Victor made a deal with
Adam to leave town in exchange for her freedom.
Chloe visited Chance, who was feeling antsy about being cooped up. He
confided that he hasn't told Nina and Jill that he was going back into
Witness Protection. After Chloe left, Heather showed up with a message from
the D.A. She and Chance got into an argument, then fell into a passionate
kiss.
Victor showed up at the hearing and the arbitration began. The judge was
surprised that Adam wasn't present. Victor testified that his kids haven't
contributed to the growth of Newman Enterprises. Nick and Victoria countered
the times their father commended their efforts in running the company but
Victor growled he would rather Newman be destroyed than hand a piece over
to his spoiled "brats." The judge called a recess and everyone left the room
except Victor. He was surprised when Neil entered with a file in his hand.
Tuesday
Jack and Kyle were about to depart for some football tossing in the park
when Phyllis asked if she could tag along. Kyle was miffed and Phyllis asked
if they could be friends, then presented him with a bribe, uh, new football.
Kyle gave his okay for Phyllis to join them. In the park, Kyle threw a
football in a mud puddle so that Phyllis was splattered.
Diane was annoyed when Nikki walked into Victor's house unannounced. Nikki
explained she knew Victor wasn't home and wanted to drop off a gift for his
birthday. Nikki observed that Diane had forgotten but she insisted she
already has a special evening planned for Victor. The ladies exchanged some
snarky comments and Nikki left.
Sharon told Nick that his dad made a statement to the D.A. about being in
Hawaii. She surmised that Adam moved out on the condition that Victor made
the admission. Nick finally confessed that he was the one who asked Adam to
leave town so Sharon could spend more time with Faith. Sharon was angry but
Nick didn't regret his actions.
Neil filed a brief that Adam perjured himself when testifying that he forged
the trust documents. Victor demanded to know why Neil was betraying him but
Neil claimed it wasn't personal. Victor became enraged but they were
interrupted when everybody returned for the hearing to continue. The judge
asked Neil to testify and he explained that he personally set up the
firewalls so that no one, even Adam, would have access to the trust files.
After a short recess, the judge announced that he was awarding Nicholas,
Victoria and Abby each a half of a billion dollars. A stunned Victor stood
up and walked silently out of the room, while his kids reveled in their
triumph. Abby called Jack with the news.
At the G.C.A.C., Leslie thanked Neil for his testimony. He then invited her
to join him for dinner but after she accepted, Neil suggested they order
room service. Sofia was in a meeting with Tucker at a nearby table and
spotted Neil heading upstairs with Leslie.
A crushed Victor returned home, where Diane had a special dinner waiting for
him. Without saying a word, Victor overturned the table and Diane was
shocked.... Neil and Leslie were making out but he pulled back and suggested
they get to know each other first... At Victoria's house, she and her
siblings celebrated with champagne. Nikki arrived and said she was ashamed
of them, then stormed out. Michael later showed up and warned that Victor
won't go away quietly.... Nikki went to the stables and ran into Victor. She
offered her condolences about the outcome of the arbitration and handed
Victor his birthday gift. He drew her in his arms and kissed her. While they
were naked and having sex on the bales of hay, Diane walked in on them. She
backed out, undetected.
Wednesday
Tucker reminded Victoria that once she gets her hands on Beauty of Nature, it will be merged with Jabot, which she will run. She agreed but Tucker
warned that Victoria may not get Billy's support when it comes to Jabot.
At the ranch, Victor asked if Michael found a loophole in getting out of the
settlement. Michael advised his boss to go along with the terms but Vic said
that "will never happen." He wanted his ungrateful kids to be saddled with
legal fees from fighting appeals.
Billy and Jack celebrated over Victor being on the losing end of the
lawsuit. Ashley showed up and didn't want to share in her brothers' revelry
because Abby has lost her father. Meanwhile, Abby came to the ranch and gave
a birthday card to her father. She proclaimed her love but Victor barked how
he built an empire on his own but now Abby and her siblings have torn it
apart. Victor asked Abby to leave and she tearfully obeyed.
Meggie called Deacon and summoned him to her jail. When he arrived, she
demanded to know what's taking so long for him to break her out. He stalled
so she went to the pay phone and called Nikki. As Meggie was leaving a
message, Deacon grabbed the phone out of her hand and hung it up, realizing
he was stuck.
Jack warned Tucker not to double cross him but McCall assured that Jack can
run Jabot with Victoria, once she gets Beauty of Nature. Meanwhile, Victoria
proposed to Victor that he hand over Beauty of Nature to her instead of the
$1.5 billion settlement. Victor refused and ordered her to go. After
Victoria left, Nikki showed up to talk about the sex they had in the barn.
She said it was "a moment out of time" but nothing has changed between them
and he agreed that they can't go back.
Diane offered congratulations to Nick but he wasn't interested in her
display of friendship.... Ashley blasted Tucker for not telling her about
his deal with Jack. Tucker admitted that Victoria is also a part of the
whole deal. Ashley finally said, "I'm in."...Victoria shared with Nick her
aim to get Beauty of Nature to merge with Jabot. Nick said he wasn't
interested... Jack told Billy to go ahead with the article about the Abbott
resurrection at Jabot, even though it hasn't happened yet..... Victor came
home and told Diane that they're going to elope — today!
Thursday
Nick found out from Katherine that his mom moved into the G.C.A.C. with
Deacon. Nick was sickened by the news. Kay switched to the topic of
Victor; Nick was sure that his dad will cut all ties with his children.
After Skyping with Reed, Victoria missed him more than ever and worried that
they would become estranged like her and Victor. Billy strongly disagreed
and reminded his wife that she’d finally gained her freedom from Victor's tyranny. Victoria then shared that Nikki and
Deacon moved in together. Billy was repulsed; Victoria felt bad about
being so down in the dumps.
Meggie left a voice mail for Deacon to bust her out of jail or else she’d
squeal to Nikki about his part in destroying her sobriety. Nikki left to
meet Nick at Crimson Lights, so Deacon visited Meggie and announced they've
been granted a conjugal visit. They were led to a private room for 10
minutes. There, Deacon gave her hospital scrubs and a security badge and
told her he never wanted to see her again.
Diane was shocked by Victor's suggestion that they elope, suggesting it was a "knee
jerk" reaction to what happened with the lawsuit. Victor insisted he
wanted to be married to her. Victor brought up a prenup but they were
interrupted by Kay, who showed up with a birthday gift. Diane excused
herself and Victor grumbled about his children's betrayal. Kay was sure that
the Newmans will overcome this rift but Victor griped "there's no going
back."
At Crimson Lights, Nick blasted his mom for shacking up with Deacon. She
defended how supportive and caring her new boyfriend has been but Nick was
unconvinced. Kay returned and Nick headed out. Kay suspected Nikki was
hiding something and she copped to making love with Victor the night before.
Nikki deemed it a "one-time thing" but Kay wasn't so sure. Nikki said she is
lucky to have Deacon.
Diane asked Kyle what he thought about her marrying Victor. Kyle thought
Nick would make a great stepdad but ultimately gave his approval of
Victor.... Nick remembered Victor uncharacteristically crying over his last
meeting with his biological father, Albert.... Victoria came downstairs
dressed as Bambi the Playboy bunny and put a big smile on Billy's face....
Diane told Victor that she needed more time to consider his proposal. Victor
declared he'd be on the jet, waiting for her to join him so they
could elope.... As Deacon left the jail, he told a guard that Meggie took
"the bait."... Diane changed into the white dress Victor bought her but as
she was leaving, she encountered Nick at the front door.
Friday
Sharon was disheartened to hear that Adam's cell phone number had been disconnected. She called Paul and tearfully asked for help. At Sharon's, Paul told her, "You're better off without him... It sounds like he's standing by his decision." Sharon countered, "I love him!" Paul did some checking and informed Sharon that Adam made a large cash withdrawal before leaving town. "Okay, so how do we find him?" Sharon questioned. "Adam is completely off the grid," Paul insisted, but later agreed to continue looking for Adam. "I'm only doing this so you can find closure," Paul explained. After Paul left, Sharon looked at her ring and wept. Meanwhile, Adam approached Koa at a bar.
Dressed in hospital scrubs, Meggie tried to walk out of prison but was immediately arrested. She realized Deacon had set her up.
Deacon suggested to Nikki that they fly off to the Bahamas. Nikki didn't want to leave her kids at a time like this and wondered why Deacon was so anxious to get out of town. He explained he wanted to be a normal couple somewhere, and she gave in. When Deacon was out of the room, Meggie called Nikki with the news that she had help in sending her to "drunk school." Meggie ordered Nikki to come to jail right away and hung up. Nikki left Deacon a note saying that she had to run out, but would be back. "Where the hell did you go?" Deacon wondered, then he realized that Nikki was on her way to see Meggie. At the jail, Meggie teased to Nikki, "What I have to tell you will rock your world." Deacon interrupted the visit and insisted Nikki leave with him. Nikki quickly realized that Deacon was the person who helped Meggie. "You didn't think pretty boy here actually cared about an old lush like you?" Meggie mocked. Deacon pleaded to Nikki that his feelings for her were genuine. Guards arrived and took Meggie away. Nikki was outraged by Deacon's betrayal and ordered him to stay away from her. Outside the cell, Nikki phoned Nick and said she made a terrible mistake and needed to talk to his father.
Phyllis urged Jack to secure a deal with Nick regarding Jabot. Jack took her advice and headed out to find Nick. Kyle arrived and informed Phyllis that his mom was marrying Victor and he intended to move in with them. "You father will be upset," Phyllis warned. "Can you just give me a ride to my friend’s?" Kyle interrupted.
Michael boarded the Newman jet with the prenup and asked where Diane was. Victor assured they would be taking off for Las Vegas shortly. Michael asked what was the rush to tie the knot but Victor said a marriage with Diane would make a wonderful partnership. Meanwhile, Nick wanted to talk to his dad so Diane invited him inside to wait. Nick explained he wanted to set an example for his children by reaching out to Victor. Diane tenderly touched Nick's hand but he pulled away and announced he had to go. She wanted to still be friends but he said it doesn't work like that way and left. Soon after, Nick received a package that included an announcement he had been fired. Jack visited Nick and said it was inevitable. "You fought hard for your independence and you deserve it," Jack noted. "It's a victory, Nick. You can do anything you want now." Jack suggested Nick join a partnership with him. Nick responded that he didn't want to create any further problems with his dad.
Victor was thrilled when Diane boarded the jet and he ordered the pilot to take off. "There is still the matter of the prenuptial agreement," Victor pointed out. Michael handed Diane the agreement and explained the terms. "I have only one condition," Diane voiced. "I want my son taken care of." Victor and Michael assured Diane that Kyle would be okay. When Victor stepped away to talk with the pilot, Michael questioned Diane's motives. "It's not like I don't know what I'm getting myself into," Diane responded. "Victor is the right man for me." While Victor and Diane prepared for the ceremony, Phyllis placed an urgent call to Michael to discuss the marriage. She realized that Michael was with them. Michael quickly ended the call to join Victor and Diane.
Phyllis interrupted Jack and Nick's meeting and announced that Victor was marrying Diane. Nick commented, "Dad is out of his mind!" During a call with Nikki, Nick revealed that Victor had eloped to Vegas with Diane.
Aboard the jet, Victor and Diane exchanged vows and wed. "This time I'm going to make it work," Diane promised.
