Young and Restless Recaps
Y&R Week of March 8, 2010
Monday
Daisy went to Jimmy's, but Mac wouldn't let her in because she's underage. Meanwhile, Lauren was all over Paul as she comforted him over "Patty's" condition. Mac eyed them curiously. The pair then left together.
At Crimson Lights, Kevin told Michael that the letter from Jana didn't seem like something she'd do. Michael implored him to find Jana and work it out. He promised to help Kevin find her. Kevin made calls to place a missing persons ad about Jana. Daisy arrived at the coffeehouse and overheard. Later, Daisy tried to shove Jana into a box, but Jana escaped.
Victor met with Heather at the coffeehouse to discuss pressing charges against Adam, but she explained that there was no evidence against him. Victor wasn't satisfied with her response and reminded her that she'd pressed phony charges against him. Heather explained that she wants Adam to get what he deserves, but Victor needs to give her something she can use, such as a confession from Adam.
Sharon pleaded with Adam to tell her where her baby is, but he lied that he didn't know. Sharon became hysterical and he blamed Dr. Taylor. She called Adam a demon and said that if Hope were alive, she'd despise him. Adam watched Sharon angrily storm out of the athletic club suite, and then broke down. After, he gripped his back in pain and called for a prescription. He thought of happier times with Sharon, then to when their marriage began to fall apart.... Sharon went to Ashley's and told her that she believes that her baby is alive because she heard her cry right after she was born. Ashley replied that she and Jack also suspected that Adam took Sharon's baby. Ashley vowed to find out the truth and suggested that they call the hospital, Fairview and the morgue.
Victor stopped by the Abbott mansion to see Jack. Victor blamed Jack for setting Adam down a dark path, but Jack argued that Adam had inherited his dark side from Victor. However, Victor wanted to team up with Jack to take Adam down. Jack wasn't sure he could trust him, given that Victor stole Jabot right from under him.
Michael and J.T's lawyer met up with Victoria and J.T to discuss their divorce. Michael wanted the divorce to be amicable, but the other lawyer didn't think that that was possible. He asked if Michael is married, and Michael replied that he is, and happily. J.T didn't want to attack Victoria and asked Michael to give him the names of some other lawyers.... Meanwhile, Lauren took Paul home and snuggled with him. She told him that he deserves to be happy and promised to be there for him. She then crawled on top of him and began kissing him passionately, but Paul stopped her and reminded her that she's married to Michael. Lauren didn't seem to care and noted that Michael can help Paul with Patty, but didn't take things further. Later, Lauren returned to her senses and told Michael how much she loves him.
Ashley made some calls and learned that there were no baby fatalities the night that Sharon's daughter was born. Sharon beat herself for trusting Adam, but Ashley told her not to feel badly.... Heather brought Adam's painkillers up to his suite. He explained that they were for his back. She warned him that Ashley, Neil and Victor have all approached her about Adam's criminal activities. Adam replied that he hadn't done anything wrong and that she has nothing. Heather warned that the walls are closing in.
Heather went to the coffeehouse and met up with her father. Kevin asked Heather if she'd heard anything about Jana, but she hadn't. Kevin was convinced that there was foul play involved in his wife's disappearance. Just then, Jana called Kevin and asked if he received her letter. She stated that their marriage is over. Of course, she was being forced to speak by Daisy, who'd managed to capture her again. Jana was still confident that Kevin wouldn't give up on her, but Daisy warned that he'd better for his sake and Jana's.... Kevin leaned on Mac's shoulder after hearing from Jana.... J.T went to the coffeehouse and told Mac that he's happy to see a friendly face. Victoria arrived and sadly watched them together, then left.
Ashley called the hospital and learned that there was no record of Sharon ever giving birth because Dr. Taylor kept it a secret — and there were no records of any stillborn babies. Sharon became emotional as she realized that her baby is indeed alive.... Victor explained to Jack that he has a plan, but it will require them working outside the law. "Sounds like fun," Jack cracked. "If it means exposing Adam and protecting my family, I'm in."
Tuesday
After calling a mystery person, Adam went to a fast food joint and penned Sharon a letter stating that he loves her and will never stop fighting for her. A man soon met up with Adam and thanked Adam for taking care of a mysterious situation. He then introduced Adam to his son. Adam was surprised to see that he had a kid. He suddenly bolted, but promised to reschedule their meeting.
Victor met with Sharon in her suite and she explained how she knew Adam had been lying to her about his relationship with Dr. Taylor after she read Skye's diary. She added that she thinks that Adam also lied about her baby because there's no record of a baby having died the night that hers was born. Victor revealed that he and Jack have a plan to get to the truth — and asked for Sharon's help. She didn't want any part in it, but Victor urged her to. She finally gave in, but insisted that she be the one to tell Nick about the baby.... Meanwhile, Ashley approached Jack with Sharon's theory about the baby. Jack couldn't believe it, but Ashley suspected that Sharon's baby is alive. Jack informed her that he and Victor are working together to bring down Adam.
Victoria volunteered to babysit Summer while Nick and Phyllis enjoyed some time alone together. Phyllis felt badly that Victoria was going through a rough time, but was glad that her marriage to Nick was in a good place.... Victoria thought about Billy.... Victor stopped by Phyllis and Nick's and asked for their help and Victoria's in his plan.
Billy and Rafe hung out at Crimson Lights. Rafe bristled when Billy mentioned Adam's name, but noted that he was seeing a new guy. Billy was happy for Rafe. Heather arrived and asked Rafe if she could discuss Adam. Rafe apologized for being with Adam when he knew that he'd been seeing Heather. She understood, recognizing that Adam had used both of them..... Jack asked Billy to meet him and Ashley at the Abbott mansion. Billy asked his sister if it was true that Adam had been the one who was terrorizing her over the summer, and she confirmed it. Billy wanted to confront Adam, but Jack implored him to keep his cool. He couldn't believe that Jack was working with Victor, but Jack noted that this is the only way that they could stop Adam. He asked Billy to help with the plan and was hoping that Heather would help, too.... Billy called Rafe and asked him to join in on the plan, while Phyllis asked to speak with Heather. They all arranged to meet at the Athletic Club.
Sharon joined Ashley and Jack so they could discuss her part of the plan. Jack apologized for not protecting her in the first place and promised that she wasn't going into this alone. Ashley admitted that she doesn't like the plan; Sharon agreed and said that she was just doing it for her baby. Ashley understood and vowed to help Sharon get her baby back. After, Sharon went to the Abbott cabin and found Nick regarding the plaque honoring their daughter. Sharon told him she believes that their daughter might still be alive and that Adam had set it up to make it seem as if she'd died. Nick wasn't ready to believe it, but she explained how things weren't adding up about the night that she was born. "Our little girl is out there," Sharon stated. "She's alive."
Adam returned to the suite and called out for Sharon, but no one was there. He turned on the lights and then sat alone on the bed.... At the club, Billy informed Rafe that Adam was behind the Sabrina "sightings" over the summer. Rafe was furious that Adam had let his aunt take the fall. Billy invited Rafe to help with the plan.... At the bar, Phyllis asked for Heather's help with Adam. Heather warned that what they were doing was vigilante justice, but Phyllis noted that this was their only option in proving Adam's guilt. She urged Heather to think it over.... Victor stopped by the Abbott manse and told Jack and Ashley that "it's done.".... Victoria went to get a drink at the athletic club and ran into Billy at the bar. They talked about Adam and Billy recalled how he'd seen Adam at the funeral home. They wondered what he'd been doing there.... Heather thought back to her relationship with Adam and how he'd used her. Rafe joined her at the club and stated that he's all for Jack and Victor's plan. Heather then told Phyllis to count her in.
Sharon called Adam and asked him to meet her at the cabin. He hurried over there, while she and Nick waited for him to arrive. Nick wanted to believe that their daughter was alive, but wondered where she was.... Meanwhile, Ashley held baby Faith and promised that she'd protect her from "scary monsters" like Adam.... Adam arrived at the cabin and was happy to see Sharon. He thanked her for meeting with him. He wanted to go inside, but she insisted on staying where she was.... Victor waited inside the cabin and watched them. Adam started to move toward Sharon and she shouted at him to stay where he was. Adam acknowledged that she doesn't deserve him, but promised to be a better man if she's with him.... Nick hid behind a tree and texted Phyllis that Adam was at the cabin. Billy got the message and nodded to Heather and Rafe at the club.... Victor crumpled a photo of himself holding Adam as a baby.... Adam asked Sharon for another chance..... Jack told Ashley that "it's time.".... Billy nodded to Victoria and Phyllis.... Adam asked Sharon to save him. "Adam," Sharon said, "I'm sorry." Suddenly he was knocked out from behind.
Wednesday
At Crimson Lights, Chloe and Amber couldn't believe that Jana left Kevin. Lauren and Michael arrived and Lauren (thinking of her kiss with Paul), noted that sometimes people will love someone, but still do stupid things. Chloe and Amber celebrated the fact that they have the most stable relationships right now, but a moody Chance reminded them that they were both married to Cane.
Lily and Neil dined at the athletic club, but she was too stressed out about Cane getting deported to eat. Lily feared that her husband could leave and never come back. Daniel stopped by the club to see how Lily was doing. ... Jill and Kay visited Cane in Immigration and promised to take care of Lily for him. Jill reminded Cane how much she and Kay love him. Cane told her that if Lily's test results aren't good, he'll find a way to escape and stay in the United States. Jill was horrified and didn't think this was a good idea. Chloe and Amber then arrived to see if there was anything they could do to help him out. Cane was grateful for their offer, but didn't think that there was anything that they could do. The ladies wished him luck before leaving. Chloe confessed to Amber that even though she's not a fan of Lily's, the situation breaks her heart.... Lily left the club, but forgot her purse. Jill ran into Neil at the club and told him about Cane's plan to escape. Lily returned to get her purse and overheard them talking, then cried to Daniel.
Amber and Chloe returned to the coffeehouse and baked disgusting cookies for Cane (which included sardines and hot sauce) so that he'd get sick, have to go to the hospital and wouldn't get deported. Chance arrived and thought it was an odd idea. He then told Chloe that he got some information on the guy who almost ran them over. She said that she trusts that he can keep her safe, but feared what would happen if she lost him. He agreed to back off the case. They declared their love for each other. Later at home, they almost hit the sheets — but Chance put a halt to their plans, to Chloe's chagrin. He explained that he wanted their first time to be special.
Tucker and Kay had a business meeting at Jimmy's. He offered her partial control of Chancellor Industries, but she was concerned that he'd pull a bait and switch. They then discussed the terms of their deal, but Kay was reluctant to sign anything. She said that being a partner just wasn't enough. "I'm used to being in charge," she shrugged, adding that it would always be her company. "Can you give back to me what you never should've taken?" she asked. Tucker gave in and agreed to sell her back enough shares to get control, 51 percent. Kay was proud of him. Jill arrived and took a seat across the bar. A patron then presented Tucker with a copy of Restless Style that featured Tucker on the cover. Kay denied having anything to do with the story. A smirking Jill left.
Daisy approached a tired Lauren at the coffeehouse and offered to get her a beverage. Michael was concerned about Lauren feeling so tired. When they stepped away, Daisy took out the photos she'd taken of Lauren with Paul. After, Lauren and Michael paid Paul a surprise visit to tell him that Michael had agreed to work on Patty's case. Lauren and Paul were visibly uncomfortable being in the same room. After Michael left, Paul reamed out Lauren for coming to Michael with his problem — especially since he and Lauren had almost slept together. Lauren broke down and admitted that something is wrong with her. Paul suggested that she see a therapist, but promised not to tell Michael what had almost happened between them.... Daisy addressed the incriminating photos to Michael and slipped them into his briefcase when he stopped by the coffeehouse.
Daniel took Lily to the book store and tried to cheer her up, to no avail. She feared that Cane was going to do something drastic. Lily then got a call about her test results and learned that her cancer isn't gone. She didn't want to tell Cane in person. Instead, she called him and lied that her results were good. Cane was thrilled for her and promised that he'd be back in the country soon. After she hung up, she broke down in Daniel's arms.
Thursday
At the Abbott cabin, an unconscious Adam awoke to find Victor, Jack, Ashley, Billy, Sharon, Nick and Victoria looming over him. Adam realized that Sharon had set him up. Victor stated that this was Adam's doing. Ashley went on to share how they checked out Dr. Taylor's story and there was no evidence that Sharon's baby had died. Adam lied that he didn't know anything about this. "We're your witnesses, pal," Jack told him. "Judge, jury and execution." Adam replied that they have no right to keep him there and he doesn't deserve this. "I've done nothing wrong," he insisted. Victor crouched down so they could be eye-to-eye and told his son that he's going to stay in the cabin until he tells them what happened to Sharon's baby.... Phyllis, pretending to be Dr. Heath again, met up with a woman who had a letter that Taylor had dictated in the ambulance, right before he died. It said, "For Mrs. Newman's eyes only" on it.... Adam got up and tried to leave, but Jack demanded that he sit down. Adam warned the gang that they could get into trouble for kidnapping. Just then, Rafe and Heather arrived and said that no laws were being broken, as far as they could see. Jack suggested that Adam confess if he wants things to be easier for him. "Everyone in here has been a victim," said Victor. "I want to know why." He then again asked what happened to Nick and Sharon's child. Adam pleaded with Sharon to side with him. "What happened to my baby?" she yelled. "Tell me!" ... Phyllis told the woman that the "Mrs. Newman" in question was Phyllis Newman — and offered to deliver it. The woman wanted to deliver it, though. Phyllis finally confessed that she's Phyllis and that she's quite certain that the letter is meant for her. She then filled in the woman on the situation with Adam. The woman couldn't understand why Phyllis had lied to go through Taylor's private papers. Phyllis replied that a child's life was at stake. The woman relented and gave her the letter.... Adam said that he doesn't know if Sharon's baby is alive or dead, or what Taylor did with the infant. No one believed him. Nick accused him and Taylor of selling the baby on the black market. Adam called Nick "sick" and again lied that he knows nothing. Victor got right in his face, but Sharon asked to speak with him. Sharon explained that she heard the baby cry and pleaded with Adam to tell her the truth. "If you won't do it to save yourself, then do it for me," she said quietly. Nick suddenly went to punch Adam, but Jack held him back.... Phyllis took out the letter, which was actually for Ashley. It stated that Ashley had a miscarriage and wasn't actually pregnant when her child was "delivered." "Oh my God," Phyllis said aloud.
At the athletic club, Nikki read the article on Tucker being a con artist and left a message for Victor about it. Jill joined her at the bar and proudly took credit for the work. Nikki asked why Kay hadn't used this as leverage and Jill called her a "soft-hearted fool." Nikki was angry with Jill for going against Kay's wishes and preventing Kay from getting to know her son.... At Jimmy's, Kay realized that Jill had also discovered that Tucker had bribed the official, but he accused Kay of being in on it with Jill. He stated that their deal means nothing and that Kay won't ever run Chancellor again. Kay asked if he really thought that she'd jeopardize their business deal, as well as the relationship they're finally forging. Tucker still believed that she'd been setting him up the entire time. Kay said that they're partners, whether they like it or not. Tucker replied that until the deal is in effect, he's running the show. Kay insisted that she's telling the truth. Tucker planned to find out the truth in his own way — and wasn't looking forward to dealing with the consequences of the article. Later, Jill made some calls and informed Tucker that the Serbian government and national business press were interested in the case. She admitted that Kay didn't give her up and that she and Billy came upon the truth by themselves. Kay confronted Jill about running the story and told her that she's ruined her chances of getting back her company. An argument ensued and Jill pressed Kay to admit that she doesn't care about "playing Mommy" to Tucker and just wants her company back. "Let's face it Katherine," Jill sneered. "We're just a couple of selfish bitches."... Tucker made some calls and assured his business associates that the "situation" is being handled. He instructed a source to completely dismantle Chancellor Industries within the next month.
Phyllis sat at Crimson Lights and continued to read the letter to Ashley, realizing that Nick and Sharon's baby wasn't dead. She was interrupted when Michael ran into her, and she asked if he could drive her to the cabin right away. He agreed, even though he didn't know what this was about.... Adam accused everyone of using him and said that no one in the cabin was innocent, except for Sharon. "The truth is, I have been beaten down ever since I arrived in Genoa City," he told them. Nikki joined the crowd at the cabin.... En route to the cabin, Phyllis informed Michael that Nick and Sharon's baby is alive. She feared that Nick would leave her, but Michael reminded her that Nick came back to her. She asked him to turn around and go home so she can think about things. Michael implored her not to keep a child from her parents.... Adam told everyone that he knew that Dr. Taylor was the best physician and that he could count on him to be professional with Ashley. He still said that he didn't know where Nick and Sharon's child was. Billy then revealed that he'd seen Adam at the funeral home and Nikki accused him of stealing someone's ashes. Victor was about to physically force a confession out of him, but Heather said that she couldn't let him do it. Victor replied that anyone who didn't want to be involved could leave. "Now let's get down to business," Newman growled. Sharon asked if Adam really loves her and begged him to tell her what happened to her baby. He looked her in the eyes and asked her to believe him. He reminded her how when they were together, it was just them against the world. Victor got back in his face and warned him that Adam's time is up — and that he'll get answers by whatever means necessary.... Phyllis arrived at the cabin — and held a lighter up to the letter so she could burn it.
Friday
At the Abbott cabin, Victor implored Adam to tell everyone the truth about Nick and Sharon's baby. Jack then listed all of Adam's many crimes. Jack decided to poll the "jury"; he, Ashley, Billy, Nikki, Nick, Victoria and Victor all declared him guilty. Sharon refused to give a vote. Jack stated that the court finds him guilty. Billy grabbed Adam and held him, while Nick told him that he had to come up with answers — or else. Adam pleaded with Sharon to help him. Sharon begged him to give her answers about her baby, but he wouldn't talk. Billy and Nick shoved Adam to the ground, ready to pummel him. Phyllis then arrived at the cabin with the letter, which she hadn't burned after all. She explained that she'd met with Dr. Taylor's estate attorney and that he'd dictated a letter before his death. She admitted that she'd read it. Phyllis then gave it to Ashley. A desperate Adam accused Phyllis of writing it herself. Ashley read the letter, which said that she'd really miscarried her baby and had a hysterical pregnancy, and declared it a lie. Adam confirmed that he'd "delivered" the child. Ashley recalled how she'd passed out, but when she awoke, Adam put Faith in her arms. She continued to disbelieve the note, especially given Dr. Taylor's shady past. Adam reminded Ashley how he was like a brother to her and was there for her the night that Faith was born. Victoria and Nick thought of situations where she could've miscarried; when Vicky asked if she'd had a fall, Ashley suddenly remembered tumbling down the stairs of the ranch. Nikki recalled how she'd gone to check on Ashley and Adam had lied that Ashley was out with Jack. Ashley recalled thinking that she'd seen "Sabrina" on the stairs — and realized that it had been Adam.
Adam called Ashley's memory a hallucination. Ashley remembered having bad dreams about Sabrina, where she'd threatened her. Jack revealed that he was at the ranch the night that she'd had that bad dream. Ashley accused Adam of spying on her so he could recreate the dream. Jack concluded that Adam had bugged the place, but Adam replied that his room was bugged, too. Ashley went on to tell that she awoke in the darkened home and heard someone calling her name. She'd thought that it was Estella, but then heard Sabrina's voice saying, "Death is coming. There is no escape." Jack asked if the voice had been recorded; Victoria noted that there were recordings online of Sabrina lecturing. Victor remembered hearing Sabrina's voice on Adam's computer. Adam insisted that something was framing him. Ashley continued with her story, saying that there was a flash of lightning and then she saw the person standing there in the dress. She realized that this is when she fell, but then Adam later told her that she'd just had a bad dream. Adam reminded her that she'd had an ultrasound after that night. Victor pointed out that Dr. Taylor was the one who'd conducted the test. Sharon realized that their babies were born at the same time. "Oh my God," she whispered.
Sharon and Nick embraced at the realization that Faith is alive. Victoria asked Phyllis if she really thinks that Faith is Nick and Sharon's baby. Phyllis said that she did. Victoria assured Phyllis that Nick loves her and said that what Phyllis just did for Nick proves that she loves him. Still, Phyllis didn't want to stick around. Victoria gave her the keys to her car.... Nick accused Adam of murdering an innocent baby by causing Ashley's miscarriage. Sharon was overwhelmed and didn't know how to react. Nick promised her that they'd figure everything out. Ashley insisted that Faith is her child, regardless of what the letter said.... Jack and Billy talked in private and agreed that a DNA test would be done on the baby. They were concerned about Ashley's reaction. Ashley pleaded with Victor to help her prove that Faith is hers. Victor grabbed Adam and demanded that he tell the truth. Adam said that Dr. Taylor lied.... Outside, Victoria and Billy discussed the situation. Billy was worried about his sister..... Inside, Sharon felt badly about the baby, but Ashley stated that Faith is not Sharon's. She advised Sharon to stop thinking that or else she'd get her heart broken.... Nick went outside and admitted to Victoria that he's hopeful, but wants to kill Adam. Victoria informed him that she let Phyllis drive her car home.
At home, Phyllis leaned on Michael and confided how confused she was feeling about the whole situation. She admitted that she almost burned the letter, but took Michael's advice not to sink to Adam's level. She thanked him for being such an honest and good friend. "What happens now?" he asked. "I don't know what happens now," she sighed. Michael encouraged her to trust her and Nick's commitment rather than let this torpedo their marriage. "God help me," Phyllis cried. "Part of me was relieved when I knew that the baby was dead. I hated to see Nick go through that, but I was relieved."... At the cabin, Nikki and Victor invited Sharon to stay with them while everything was sorted out. Sharon left with Nikki. Adam called after her, but she didn't respond. "I hope you burn in hell," Nick told his brother. "I'll see you there," Adam retorted.
Nick returned home and joined Phyllis, Michael and Summer. Before he left, Phyllis thanked Michael for taking care of her. Nick asked why she'd left early. She replied that she felt that he was needed elsewhere. Nick acknowledged that giving that letter was tough for her. He suggested that he have Nikki watch Summer so they could have some time alone. "What do we do now?" she asked, but he didn't answer.... At the ranch, Nikki cared for Sharon and placed a blanket on her. Meanwhile, Victoria researched hysterical pregnancies online and learned that this indeed happens to women.... Ashley cradled Faith protectively and kept saying that she's hers. Billy sat with Ashley, not knowing what to do.... At the cabin, Jack, Victor and Adam were the only three people remaining. "Let's go," Victor said and Jack instructed Adam to get up. Adam grabbed the fire poker to defend himself and bolted from the cabin.
