Monday
At Restless Style, Nick and Victoria worried that their parents were stuck
in the elevator together with David and Sabrina. "Take a seat," Katherine
suggested. "It's too bad they don't have cameras in the elevators. It's
gonna be fun to see who comes out of that thing alive." Meanwhile, in the
elevator, Victor and Nikki continued to squabble. "You think it makes sense
to be engaged to someone who's 34 percent of your age?" snarked Nikki, then
warned Sabrina, "Once you're married, there won't be any strings attached...
there'll be barbed wire." The elevator was repaired and brought the foursome
to Nick's work loft. David announced he and Nikki's marriage then made a
toast to his new bride. "I value everything about you, Nikki," he cheered.
"And I will love and respect you always." Everyone raised their glass,
except Victor, who offered a less-than-heartfelt, "Good luck."
Paul was surprised to learn from J.T. that Nikki married David. Paul
revealed that he found enough fishy stuff in David's background such as
three ex-wives (and two of them dead). Paul also explained that all three
spouses had huge estates which surprised . The third (and still alive) wife
called Paul and told him that divorcing David was the best day of her life,
then hung up.
Worried about Gloria, Kevin, Michael and Lauren busted into her hotel room
but were shocked to find her in bed with Alistair. A hung-over Glo screamed
upon finding Al laying next to her. After Wallingford made a hasty exit,
Gloria lamented that nobody cared for her and Michael grudgingly admitted
that he did. He then promised to help his mother try to get back her money
from the charities. Later, Michael told his mom there was no way to rescind
her donations. Lauren suggested that Gloria sell her secret stash of
Diamonds, but Alistair overheard this.
Jeffrey admitted to Jill that he was still in love with Gloria so Jill asked
why he filed for divorce. He answered that their relationship is "toxic."
He went over to Gloria's room and overheard her dissing Alistair to Lauren.
Unfortunately, Jeff thought it was about him and left before he heard Gloria
admit that she couldn't imagine her life without him.
Victor praised a surprised Nick for his success. "I'm very proud of what
you've done," said Vic. "You stuck by your convictions. That impresses me. I
wish you good luck." Victor then asked Victoria how her knew job was going.
"Working for Mom instead of you? It's actually very refreshing," she
answered.
Sharon warned Sabrina that it will be tough to be accepted into the Newman
family.... Jack predicted to David that Nikki would go running back to
Victor.... Paul congratulated Nikki on her marriage.... Alistair shared
with Jill that he bedded Gloria and was close to learning why she married
Jeffrey. Jill put Al back on her payroll to keep digging.... Amber was
bummed that there were no on-line comments about her designs.... Victor
foretold to Sabrina that Restless Style "will never make it to the first
anniversary issue." ... Jeffrey packed a suitcase and headed out.
Tuesday
Jill and Brad congratulated Nikki and David on their marriage and the bride
showed off her impressive wedding ring. "That must've set you back, David," Brad pointedly said. Later, David lied to Brad that the ring is a family heirloom and Carlton reminded that David still owes him $100,000.
A hungover Chloe remembered kissing Cane and advised him not to mention it to Lily. Meanwhile, Lily felt bad when Nikki said there was obviously a
problem with Lily's cover for Restless Style not to run it. "I'm sorry for letting you down," Lily lamented before leaving. She then ran into Chloe at Jabot. Cane showed up and made a reference to the drunken smooch, piquing Lily's curiosity, but Chloe covered. Later she told Cane not to be so uptight but he warned her to be respective of his relationship with Lily or else Chloe could be out of a job. "Clean up your act, baby or you're going to piss off somebody who isn't as forgiving as I am," Cane cautioned. After, Chloe gave Lily a pep talk about losing the cover.
Gloria made arrangements over the phone for a bank in the Grand Cayman
Islands to send her diamonds. Jeffrey showed up to retrieve his passport and
with lots of sexual tension, they traded barbs. Jeffrey then saw a fax from
the Grand Cayman bank and demanded to know what was going on. She refused to answer and ordered him to leave. Jeffrey did but waited for Gloria to leave her room. He convinced a maid to let him in but couldn't find the fax.
Nikki and David were upset when Brad made a major business decision in their absence. Later, David accused Brad of making a "power play." Brad countered with, "You're really in no position to question anything I do."
At Jabot, Alistair told Jill that Gloria had a hidden stash of diamonds.
Jill wondered if the gems had anything to do with what Jeffrey is holding
over Gloria. As Al was leaving Jabot, he ran into Gloria who told him not to
contact her again. A spurned Alistair ran into Jeff. "If it's dirt you're
looking for on your ex, this may be your lucky day," Al declared.
During a staff meeting, David pitched holistic beauty products, which Brad
dissed. After the meeting, Brad reminded David to "keep the installment payments coming." David also admitted that he didn't sign a prenup. He started eyeing the expensive watch that Nikki gave him for a wedding present.
Chloe arranged for a modeling agency to woo Lily to New York.... Jeffrey
made airline reservations for the Grand Cayman Islands.
Wednesday
Paul admitted to J.T. that he hit a wall with David's investigation. Paul
said he couldn't locate David's last ex wife Elizabeth Hartford but
remembered that she worked at Granville Global with David. Paul realized that since Granville was bought out by Newman Enterprises, Neil may know something about its employees — even former ones. Paul showed up at Newman
and asked Neil about David. Neil recounted David's hijinks when he brought Carmen's look alike cousin to Genoa City to gaslight Drucilla. "He's a line crosser," Neil fumed but didn't know anything about Elizabeth. Paul then asked J.T. to check Granville's employee files. J.T. found out that
Elizabeth's family used to own Granville but she sold her stock after her divorce from David and disappeared. J.T. called Elizabeth's assistant and pretended to be auditor with questions about Granville. The assistant connected him to Elizabeth who refused to answer any questions then hung up. It was long enough for Paul to trace the phone and get an area code and prefix.
David lifted Nikki's social security number, then called his credit card
company to add her to his account. David requested that his limit be
increased but was denied. He then called the bank for a loan, using Nikki as a co-signer but got turned down because he said she was too busy to come to the bank personally. Brad came in and invited David to a game of poker but David declined.
At the ranch, Victor wanted to take Sabrina on a shopping spree but she said she was too busy. That's when Lauren showed up with racks of clothes from her store. "A beautiful woman deserves to wear beautiful things," Victor noted but Sabrina was hesitant to choose anything. He wanted to buy everything that Lauren brought but Sabrina insisted she loved him for him, and not his money. She agreed to buy one thing and chose a purse.
Brad asked Heather out to dinner but she asked for a rain check. Victoria
overheard and berated Brad for trying to date a fellow employee. "When did
it become Jabot's policy that all perspective dates get run by you?" he
posed. Brad later called his bookie and was surprised that David hadn't
placed any bets. Meanwhile, Victoria warned Heather about Brad but Ms.
Stevens insisted that they were nothing but friends.
Neil called Victoria and shared that he was a little troubled by the Natural
Glow company that Newman recently acquired. Victoria explained that was
Adam's deal since she was against the purchase. She revealed that she had an
audit done on the company to annoy Adam but never went over the results.
Neil tracked down the audit file.
Sabrina encountered Victoria and Nikki at the GCAC but got a cool
reception..... Heather called Nikki and said she found a problem..... Neil
informed Victor that in purchasing Natural Glow, Newman has also acquired a lawsuit that Jabot has pending against them for copyright infringement.
Thursday
Victor blasted Adam for buying Natural Glow without full investigation. Now Newman has to deal with Jabot's lawsuit that "will cost millions to fix."
Adam was stunned and embarrassed. He tried to apologize but Victor ordered his son never to buy a company without consulting him. With his tail between his legs, Adam slunk to the office and found out from Neil that the lawsuit was discovered after Victoria ordered an audit. Adam claimed the information was buried, but Neil fired back that Adam didn't look close enough.
Paul told J.T. that he's flying to Bermuda to track down David's ex-wife. Meanwhile, David told Nikki that he changed his mind about them having a joint bank account. Before that was resolved, Victoria interrupted them, thrilled about Adam being in trouble with Victor (Neil told her). Both
Victoria and Nikki reveled in the fact that Adam was in very deep hot water.
Later, David placed another bet.
Phyllis was surprised when Danny showed up and explained he was about to go on tour through Europe and wanted Daniel to go with him. Phyllis bristled at the idea and requested that Danny not ask their son just yet. However when Daniel showed up, Danny asked him anyway, much to Phyllis's chagrin. "I want you to work with my tour photographer," Danny proposed and promised there would be a paycheck too. Daniel asked for time to think about the offer but Danny said he could only wait a day. After his dad left, Daniel told Amber about the tour opportunity. "That's great!" Amber lied. She later overheard Phyllis agonizing to Nick that Daniel could decide to be gone for years.
On the third anniversary of Cassie's death, Sharon met with Nick at their
daughter's tribute in Crimson Lights. Nick was frustrated that he couldn't
remember any details about Cassie dying. Sharon and Nick shared the memories of Cassie he could recall, like her adoption. Sharon and Nick returned to the office where Phyllis observed Nick's troubled disposition. He was thrilled when the nanny showed up with Summer. Sharon asked Nick if he wanted to visit Cassie's grave with her but he said, "I can't." Sharon understood, then left.
Victoria visited Cassie's memorial at Crimson Lights, where Sabrina offered
comfort. She tried to engage Victoria in conversation but gave up and left.
Adam showed up and confessed to Victoria that he wished he read her report on Natural Glow. "I thought I was doing something great for Newman," he mumbled but Victoria said she wished he had accepted her help in the first place. Victoria then visited Nick to comfort him. She also told him about Adam's big goof.
Victor refused Michael's advice to settle with Jabot. Adam tried to make
amends but Victor wasn't receptive. Sabrina came in as Victor huffed, "Use
the good brains your mother and I gave you." After Adam left, Sabrina opined that Victor was being too hard on him and he opened up about Cassie.
Friday
Phyllis suggested Nick visit Cassie's grave. "It'll just make me feel worse
because I don't remember the day," he said. "If I can't remember it, how can
she really be gone?"
At GCAC, Nikki reached out to Victor when she saw he was in pain over
Cassie's death. "I don't think I'll ever forget the day that our granddaughter died," he lamented and even held hands with his ex. David busted in on the warm moment so Victor left. Nikki wanted to go visit Cassie's grave by herself. After she got there, she found flowers left by Victor with a card that read: Every night I see your star and remember you.
Danny asked Phyllis if Daniel still blamed himself for Cassie's death. "If
he wasn't wasted that night, Cassie would've never gotten behind the wheel," Phyllis explained. "And if she hadn't gotten behind the wheel, she would've never crashed. I mean, I tell him all the time it wasn't his fault, but. . . does he blame himself? Wouldn't you?"
Gloria was bummed when her first donation check was due. She gave her lawyer instructions on which charities to distribute the money to. Later, she was excited when a courier delivered her package of diamonds. "Diamonds really are a girl's best friend," she squealed as she handled her gems. Oops. Glo didn't notice Alistair watching.
The lawyer from the Abbott Foundation told Jack, Sharon, Nick and Phyllis that someone made an anonymous donation of $5 million plus another $2 mil to Cassie's Challenge. "Wow," Jack marveled. "Genoa City has an angel." Sharon
did some digging and found out that the money came from The Marks Alogria Charitable Trust. Jack wondered if Gloria could be the benefactor but quickly discounted that notion.
David lost a bet on a prize fight and went to Walter for a loan. Walter was
reluctant at first but David revealed that he didn't sign a pre-nup with
Nikki. He later met up with his wife and suggested they buy their own house.
Daniel opened up to Amber about his guilt over Cassie's death, then asked
Amber if she was upset about his dad's offer. She admitted her fear that he may not come back and they declared their love to each other.
Paul landed in Bermuda and located Elizabeth Hartford. "I left America to
get away from David Chow," she declared. Paul asked if she thought David had anything to do with the deaths of his two wives and Elizabeth branded her ex as a killer.
Adam was stunned when Victor announced, "Effective immediately, your workload will be reduced. You got that? Any other projects you start, you come to me and talk to me first." Adam went to the GCAC to drown his sorrows in beer.
As Sharon comforted Noah about Cassie, Nick got in a car accident.
