Young and Restless Recaps
Y&R Week of November 1, 2010
Monday
Daniel and Abby were shocked to find a very pregnant Daisy in his apartment. He refused to believe that he was the father but she insisted their one night stand did the trick. Abby was not happy to hear that bit of news and Daniel explained that Daisy had drugged him. Daisy said she's been eating junk while on the run and now it's time for Daniel to take care of her and their baby. When Daniel announced he was calling the cops, Daisy threatened to hurt the baby if he did. Abby discreetly sent a text message.
At the police station, Lauren, Michael and Phyllis showed Ronan the photo from the Halloween party with Daisy in the background. Ronan observed that she looked pregnant but Phyllis was sure the pregnant nun costume was just a joke. Michael told Lauren and Phyllis to stay at the police station and headed out to help search for Daisy. Later, Lauren freaked out and wanted to check on Fen so she rushed out, with Phyllis in hot pursuit. After Lauren was assured that Fen was safe at a friend's sleepover she had a panic
attack.
Meggie told Victor she was going to over to the rehab center to drop off a care package for Nikki. Victor went to the hospital and informed Katherine that Nikki is drying out in rehab. Kay asked if Victor still wanted to marry Nikki and he admitted he didn't know, but insisted he will support her through her recovery. Victor also grumbled that he couldn't get the image out of his head of Nikki in bed with Deacon. When Victor brought up Meggie's name, Murphy awoke tried to communicate with Kay and Victor but they didn't understand.
Ronan found a nun's outfit discarded in the alley. Michael and Kevin then searched the deserted amusement park but found no one. Ronan called them to report that a motel clerk recognized Daisy's picture. The brothers headed over to the motel, where, with Ronan, they came across a sonogram and prenatal vitamins. Michael then received Abby's text that Daisy was at Daniel's place.
Nikki lamented to Deacon that she is jonesing for a drink. She was also curious as to why Victoria hasn't been by for a visit. Nikki was surprised when Meggie showed up with the care package. Before leaving, Meggie stashed a bag of booze under a sofa, which Deacon found. Later, he offered to keep Nikki company, then mentioned he had a present for her. However, when Nikki earnestly promised to help him through his recovery, Deacon changed his mind and gave the bag to a staffer. Nikki was proud of his effort.
Jana panicked that Daisy was back in town. Noah said he’ll watch over Jana at her apartment. There, they started to kiss but Kevin texted that he was coming over. She told Noah to go, which confused him. After he exited, Jana trashed her place, which Noah saw her doing through the window. When Kevin later showed up, Jana claimed Daisy had just been there. While Kevin was in the other room making a call, Noah returned and asked why Jana ransacked her own place. Told it was none of his business, Noah left.
As Daisy was leaving Daniel's apartment, Ronan showed up and arrested her. After Daisy was led away in handcuffs, Daniel insisted to Abby that Daisy isn't pregnant with his baby but she wanted to go home.... Michael returned home and announced to Lauren that Daisy has been arrested. Lauren wasn't appeased. "We'll never be safe," she cried.... Victor came home and Meggie told him to eat the Irish stew she’d made. After leaving the room, Meggie grinned, "Oh, Victor, I'll almost miss you when you're gone."
Tuesday
The next morning, Deacon apologized to Nikki for bringing in the booze but she reiterated her faith in him. Deacon was moved by Nikki's capacity to forgive. Nikki was upset that Victoria has seemingly deserted her. "She's avoiding me," Nikki sobbed. "She's either angry or disappointed or both.”
At the G.C.A.C., Victor tersely informed Victoria that he won't release his company's financial records. She wanted to see her mother but Victor harumphed that Nikki didn't want to see her. "The lawsuit you have filed against me is a constant source of anxiety for her," Victor lied. "She realizes you're the reason this family is falling apart. When she looks at you, she sees the reason she is where she is." He told Victoria she can only see Nikki after she drops the lawsuit.
Paul marveled how Heather is able to spend so much money on her campaign. She admitted to having "very generous donors." Paul asked if Victor is bankrolling Heather's campaign but she hedged that he was only one of her contributors. Paul warned his daughter not to do anything unethical. "Your association with Victor Newman is going to be trouble... mark my words," Paul predicted.
At Crimson Lights, Cane assured Lily that he will resolve the danger with the cattle rustlers soon and that she and the babies can come home. Sofia stopped by to discuss business so Lily left to visit J.T. Cane urged Sofia to hire James Collier (the dead man, whose identity Cane has stolen) before they lose him to another company. Sofia agreed and told Cane to have James fill out paperwork so that his paychecks can be deposited into a bank account.
Victor summoned Heather to the ranch and thanked her for preventing his arrest. He then presented her with a hefty check. Heather refused to take it at first but Victor explained that's how politics work so she reluctantly accepted his "gift."
Meggie showed up at the rehab house and ask Deacon if he used the booze she left behind. He admitted to trashing the alcohol but has his own plan for Nikki. Meggie shared that once she gives her special cocktail to Victor, he'll agree to anything she wants, and she wants to become the next Mrs. Newman. She also revealed that after they elope, some added medication will kill him. "I'll just cry all the way to the bank," she smiled.
Although J.T. was depressed about his shattered dreams of becoming a cop, he was thrilled when the doctor said he could be released from the hospital. He and Mac went home, where Lily soon showed up and expressed her guilt over J.T. getting hurt because he was coming to their aid. J.T., however, was appreciative for Cane saving his life. Lily advised J.T. to remain positive about his future. After Lily left, he told Mac that he needed to find something to give meaning to his life. She reminded him that her job offer in Washington D.C. could be just the ticket for them.
Billy visited Nikki and told her that Victor has been blocking Victoria from visiting. Upset, Nikki asked Billy to have Victoria come over as soon as possible. Victoria rushed over and was thrilled to be reunited with Nikki, who shared that she was angry at Victor for keeping them apart. Victoria advised her mom to get away from Victor. After Victoria left, Nikki summoned Victor and blasted him for his interference. Victor claimed he was trying to hold his family together but Nikki said that he is only devoted to his precious company.
Paul was suspicious when Heather suddenly had more funds to make another campaign commercial. She pointed out that she can't help people unless she's elected.... Victoria wondered to Billy why her dad and Heather are so friendly.... At the Ashby home, Cane explained to Blake that he will have access to the money that will be deposited into James Collier's bank account. Lily suddenly walked in and asked what's going on.... Meggie retrieved mysterious vials from a bank safety deposit box.... As Victor was leaving the rehab center, he was stunned to see Deacon.
Wednesday
Cane introduced Blake as an old friend from Australia. Lily thought Blake looked familiar and Cane was worried that his wife would remember seeing the bloke at the cottage but she didn't. Cane was then stunned when Blake admitted that he is in Genoa City because of the trouble Cane got into Down Under. Blake fibbed that he was in Chicago on business when Cane called for help so Blake talked to the Australian law enforcement and was assured that Cane was no longer in danger. Cane had no choice but to go along with Blake's story and Lily was thrilled that "we finally have our lives back."
Ronan wanted to question Murphy about the day he collapsed and Katherine explained how her husband blinks once for yes and twice for no. Ronan noticed the old gent's finger tapping and asked if it was Morse code. Kay was shocked when Murphy blinked yes. "Let's hear what you have to say," Ronan prompted. After tapping out a message, Kay said she needed to make a call.
Victor demanded to know why Deacon is at the rehab house. Sharpe explained he is also trying to get sober but Victor didn't buy it. He complained to a staffer that Deacon is a con artist and only there to "target my ex-wife." Nikki emerged from her room in response to the commotion and defended Deacon. A furious Victor countered that she is always getting mixed up with scum, like Bobby Marsino and David Chow. Nikki was appalled by the reminder and ordered Victor to leave. He stalked away and she apologized to Deacon. They agreed that it would be best for their recovery that they keep their distance from each other.
J.T. told Mac that the same non-profit agency she received a job offer from, also extended one to him. J.T. was greatly tempted to accept but needed to discuss his moving plans with Victoria since this means taking Reed to another state. Mac didn't want to separate Reed from her mother and wanted to turn down the position but J.T. urged her to accept. "It's time for you and I to start our new lives together," he declared.
In looking for a link between Victor and the D.A.'s office, Billy told Victoria that his contact in city hall is going to email him copies of the papers that Heather filed with the board of elections. After Victoria headed out to drop Reed at his dad's, Billy received the email and spotted Victor's name on the list of Heather's donors.
Heather found out that Billy had requested her campaign files and summoned him to her office. She confronted him about his snooping and Billy named Victor as Heather's biggest contributor. Heather denied that she stopped Victor's arrest because of his money. Heather pleaded with Billy not print anything about this because, once she's elected D.A., she's going after Adam. Billy seemed swayed but didn't say what he would do and slipped out of
the office while Heather was on the phone.
Victoria escorted Reed to J.T.'s place and Mac took him out for ice cream. J.T. then announced that he and Mac are moving to D.C. the next day with Reed. Victoria became emotional and balked but J.T. reminded that he has full custody of their son and can move without her permission. Victoria wailed that she won't allow Reed to be taken away from her and left.
Billy began writing an article about Victor buying off the D.A....Cane warned Blake to stay away now that he will have the money.... J.T. explained to his son that they're moving to D.C. and Reed asked about his mommy. Dad explained that they will visit often.... Blake looked for lodging in Genoa City.... Victoria broke down when she learned from Michael that she can't legally stop J.T. from moving away with Reed. She blamed Victor for losing custody, then saw Billy's article about her dad. Billy shared he may not publish it but Victoria urged him to.... Deacon showed up at Nikki's room where she fell sobbing into his arms.... The camera showed a close-up of Murphy's empty hospital bed.
Pretending that she was acting for Nikki, Meggie reserved the Newman jet for a trip to Vegas, then booked a honeymoon suite there. An upset Victor came home and complained about Nikki and Deacon. Meggie spiked his drink and Victor seemed to become strangely compliant. Meggie suggested that he take a trip to relax and that she can come along as his assistant. Victor agreed, then drew Meggie into a kiss!
Thursday
Mac wanted to let her grandmother know about her moving plans but told J.T. that neither Kay nor Murphy were at the hospital. Mac was relieved when Kay showed up and explained that Murphy had been transferred to a recovery facility. Mac then informed Kay that she is moving to D.C. for a new job and Grandma was sad but proud. Mac wished she could get married before leaving Genoa City and Kay assured that she could make it happen. Mac and J.T.
happily accepted her help.
Victoria continued to be depressed that her son was moving to D.C. Billy offered to stay home with her but she wanted to visit her mom. Billy then posted his article about Victor paying off the D.A.'s office.
Heather felt encouraged that her numbers in the polls increased by a couple of points. However, Paul was still concerned over his daughter accepting campaign contributions from Victor and she insisted that she won't allow Newman to control her office. Heather then received a call, alerting her to Billy's Internet article. She went online and Paul was upset to see the headline: Victor Newman in D.A. Payoff Scandal?
Meggie called Deacon, who had fallen asleep with Nikki in his arms, on her bed but both fully clothed. Meggie informed Deacon that she would be a rich widow by tomorrow and that he'll be rewarded handsomely for keeping Nikki distracted. After hanging up, Deacon told Nikki he needed to attend a counseling session and left. Victoria showed up and Nikki could see that her daughter was upset. After Victoria shared that J.T. is taking Reed to D.C., Nikki wanted to check out so she could personally talk to her former son-in-law. Victoria didn't want her mom to jeopardize her sobriety so Nikki suggested that Victoria ask Victor for his help but Victoria vehemently refused.
Heather angrily confronted Billy about is article but he reminded her that it was the truth. She blasted Billy for involving her in his war with Victor. As Billy watched, a reporter asked Heather for a comment about the story and she insisted that she did nothing unethical.
Victor came downstairs and announced having second thoughts about going to Vegas but Meggie convinced him to take the trip. Soon they were on the private jet, where Meggie drugged his drink. En route to Nevada, a groggy Victor suddenly didn't want to go to Vegas because that's where he and Nikki were going to elope. Meggie suggested they fly to Reno instead and Victor agreed. Meggie said that Victor needs a woman like her and when he concurred, she excitedly accepted his so-called marriage proposal. Meggie called a Reno wedding chapel and, upon seeing Victor's half-conscious state, suggested that someone come to the plane to marry them.
Billy asked Mac and J.T. not to take Reed away from Victoria but they assured that Reed will visit his mother often. Still, Billy wasn't satisfied.... The party chairman called Heather and wanted her to renounce her candidacy. Heather then learned that Victor left town right after the story broke, which didn't make her look good. Heather addressed a throng of reporters and announced she is dropping out of the election.... Kay returned Mac and J.T. with news that she arranged a wedding for them that afternoon.... Victoria told Billy that she will never forgive J.T.... When Nikki couldn't reach Victor, she called Meggie's phone and was shocked that her voicemail said she is accompanying Victor to Nevada.... After touching down in Reno, a justice of the peace boarded the place and married Victor and Meggie.
Friday
As the newlyweds winged home to Genoa City, Meggie had the pilot snap a photo of her and Victor so she could post it on her social network page. Meggie then promised her new hubby that she had "quite a night in store for us."
Nikki surmised to Deacon that maybe she was right all along and that Meggie is after Victor. Nikki logged on to Faceplace and was shocked to see Victor and Meggie's wedding photo. "How could he give up on me?" Nikki sobbed. As she fell apart, Deacon was right there to comfort her. During a close moment, they began to passionately kiss.
Chloe and Kevin were madly helping Katherine throw together Mac and J.T.'s wedding. Lily (who was dateless since Cane was out of town on business) accepted Mac's request to be matron of honor while Paul agreed to stand up for J.T. as best man. Mac was surprised and thrilled when Brock arrived to officiate at his daughter's wedding. Victoria showed up and put on a brave face for Reed. The ceremony began and Mac and J.T. exchanged vows. After, Billy told Mac, "I'll always love you," while Victoria growled to J.T. that she will never forgive him for taking Reed away from her. Victoria then said a sad good-bye to Reed before he left with J.T. and Mac. Victoria broke down in tears.
Michael was determined that Daisy wouldn't make bail and sought Heather's help. She explained how she was forced to drop out of the election race. Michael hoped a sympathetic judge wouldn't grant bail because Daisy is pregnant but Heather said she would try to prevent that. Michael later asked Lauren to speak at the arraignment but she refused and was even afraid to leave the apartment because Ryder could be waiting to hurt her.
Daniel told Phyllis about Daisy's claim that he's the father of her baby. Daniel insisted he didn't have sex with Daisy, but Phyllis wanted to get a paternity test right away so they headed out.
Michael convinced Lauren to attend Daisy's arraignment. Just before the hearing, Daisy told Lauren that she, too, was Sarah's victim and professed regret for causing trouble but an unmoved Lauren vowed to keep Daisy behind bars. Phyllis and Daniel showed up and revealed Daisy's paternity claim and he wanted to disprove that as soon as possible. Daisy said she would only take the paternity test if she was transferred to a hospital and stays there until the results come back. Lauren balked and Phyllis asked her to make this concession. Lauren still refused and Michael told Daisy's lawyer, "No deal." Daisy refused to participate in a paternity test.
After landing, Victor and Meggie returned to the ranch where she dismissed the staff so they could be alone. She put sexual enhancement drugs in Victor’s drink. After he downed it, Meggie purred, "I can't wait for what comes next." Soon, Victor started to feel discomfort, then he started to cough and groan. As he started to fall silent, Meggie urged him to die quickly. But Victor suddenly woke up and forcibly grabbed her hair. "What's the rush?" he demanded, appearing very lucid and quite angry.
