Young and Restless Recaps
Y&R Week of November 29, 2010
Monday
Upon arriving in New Orleans, Nick and Michael immediately started searching
for Sharon by flashing her photo around the French Quarter. Nick was
determined to find her before Adam, whom Nick insisted is responsible for
Skye's mysterious disappearance, did. After questioning more people with
zilch results, the guys spoke to the police about Sharon and the possibility
that she could be in danger. The cop said he would have Adam's photo
circulated and keep an eye out for Sharon.
Meanwhile, Sharon set out to explore the Big Easy on her own and was unaware
that Adam was following her. She visited a fortuneteller, who said that
Sharon was "at a crossroads." Sharon was then informed that she was being
pulled into different directions by two men. The fortuneteller advised to
"embrace the journey" and that the answer lies beneath the feet of angels.
Phyllis called Jack with the news that she was heading to New Orleans for
her story on Adam. Jack offered to babysit both Summer and Faith, which
Phyllis accepted. After Jack hung up, an angry Diane showed up and wanted to
know why Jack flaked out on her and Kyle for Thanksgiving. Jack explained
how the Newman Fund collapsed but Diane wasn't appeased since their son's
feelings had been hurt. Phyllis arrived to hand over Summer and Faith's
bags, explaining that the babysitter will be delivering them to Jack later.
Phyllis then warned Jack not to let Diane play “stepmommy." After Phyllis
left, Diane suggested that they all have dinner tonight and left before Jack
could object.
Victor returned to the ranch and Nikki tried to make amends again but he
wasn't interested. "Unless you acknowledge the depth of your betrayal, you
and I have nothing to discuss," he huffed but she pointed out that they both
made mistakes. Victor raged that he could never forgive Nikki for sleeping
with Deacon. Even when Nikki reminded him about the damage Meggie did, Victor still
maintained that their relationship is over. In a phone call, Victor ordered
his jet to be ready. After packing, Victor said he would be out of town for
a month and wanted Nikki to be gone from the ranch by the time he returned.
"I will always love you, Victor," Nikki sighed after he left.
Nick and Michael finally discovered where Sharon has been staying. Michael
offered to keep watch in the lobby so an antsy Nick could keep searching for
Sharon... At Crimson Lights, Nikki crossed paths with Deacon. "I can't stop
thinking about you," he said.... Phyllis arrived in New Orleans and looked
for Adam.... After leaving the fortuneteller, Sharon followed a funeral
procession into a cemetery. There, Sharon found a statue of an angel and
recalled the words of the fortuneteller. She was shocked when Adam showed
himself.... Victor boarded his jet, where a very-alive Skye was waiting for
him.
Tuesday
Diane and Kyle arrived at the Abbot mansion, where Jack was entertaining Summer and Faith. Diane prepared steaks and Jack seemed to enjoy the family-like atmosphere. Diane offered to lodge in the spare room so she could help Jack with the girls in the morning but he assured her he could manage.
Upon seeing Adam, Sharon reminded that she is with Nick now. Adam drew her into a kiss and she kissed him back, but pulled away and protested that she couldn't be with him. He explained that he is nothing without her and pointed out that she is at a crossroads. That resonated with Sharon since that was the very word the fortuneteller used. Adam asked her to come with him so she took his hand and he led her away.
On his jet, Victor assured Skye that she is in good hands. She marveled at how he took down Adam and Jack but now she's broke. Victor gave Skye a passport and bank account for her new identity. When she asked what this would cost her, Victor detailed, "I'll set you up financially. You will live a life of indulgence. You will not play high-stakes poker with high rollers who you steal from, and you will not divulge who you are." In return, Skye will remain "dead" so that Adam can be convicted of her murder. She realized that Victor had plotted the collapse of the hedge fund so that it would all lead to this. The jet landed and Victor said there was a car waiting for her. She asked where she would end up and he revealed in the middle of a Hawaiian jungle. "Neither I nor anyone you've ever known will ever see you again," Victor explained.
At Crimson Lights, Deacon wanted to have coffee with Nikki but she wished him well and walked away. Deacon persisted and reminded Nikki that they were sober when they had sex. When Nikki revealed that Victor is out of town, he asked if they could go for a walk or to a movie. She reminded Deacon that most of the town, including her children, detest him. When his back was turned, Nikki slipped away and went to the ranch. Later, Deacon showed up there and Nikki grudgingly let him in. Once inside, they started passionately kissing.
Michael was surprised, then mad to see Phyllis in the lobby of Sharon's hotel. Phyllis begged Michael not to rat her out to Nick so when he called with the news that a boutique owner had spotted Sharon, Michael didn't reveal Phyllis's presence. After hanging up with Nick, Michael urged Phyllis to go home but she claimed she was following a story on Adam. Nick then showed up and demanded to know why Phyllis is in New Orleans. She used the chasing-a-story-about-Adam excuse but Nick was furious that she left his children with Jack. Nick insisted that Phyllis go home and she finally agreed. She appeared to be leaving to grab a cab, just as a policeman entered and told Nick that an ATM camera had photographed Adam.
Adam and Sharon showed up at an old plantation and wandered around the grounds. They talked and laughed as they admired the surroundings. Sharon's mood lightened as they shared more kisses. They later shared a romantic dinner at an inn, where they felt free. After, they checked into the inn and hit the sheets.
Wednesday
Michael and Nick spent the entire night in Sharon's hotel lobby but never saw her. Nick was allowed in Sharon's room where, he found all her clothes but no purse. He grew increasingly worried for her safety, then called Phyllis to check on his daughters. She reported that everything was fine and he apologized for coming down so hard on her but said he was glad she is back in Genoa City. After they hung up, it was clear Phyllis was still in New Orleans!
Deacon was thrilled to have spent the night with Nikki and wondered if they have a real chance of being together. She said she couldn't think that far ahead since she had just gotten sober. While Deacon was out of the living room, Katherine dropped in unexpectedly; Nikki was flustered. Kay was shocked when Deacon suddenly emerged and Nikki did her impression of a deer caught in the headlights. After Deacon left, Kay hissed, "Are you out of your mind?" Nikki explained that she hadn’t known Victor's marriage to Meggie was a sham, and jumped into bed with Deacon; then Victor walked in on them. Kay was still bowled over that her friend would turn to Deacon, of all people. "You don't know him like I do," Nikki pouted, and asked for Kay to be supportive. Nikki vowed to use Victor’s absence as an opportunity to find herself. Kay mentioned that Victor destroyed Adam's hedge fund, endangering Jack's wealth and reputation.
Jill was surprised to find Lauren at the boutique and it wasn't long till they were sniping at each other. Jill suggested that her sister take more time off if she was still worried about Daisy; Lauren accused Jill of trying to take control of the whole company. A fuse blew and the lights went out, which terrified Lauren. Jill quickly got the lights working again and tried to calm a rattled Lauren, who angrily pushed her sis away and rushed out of the shop.
Nikki checked on Jack, who shared that he and 12 other innocent investors were shafted by Victor when he collapsed the hedge fund. Nikki told Jack that she and Victor weren't together anymore and he revealed Skye is missing and that Adam may have followed Sharon to New Orleans.
At Gloworm, Kay encountered Jill, who grumbled that a freaked-out Lauren dismissed her offer of support. Kay advised Jill to make Lauren realize that she will always be there for her. Meanwhile, Lauren showed up at the jail and accused Daisy of hiring someone to sabotage the boutique. When Daisy denied it, Lauren screamed, "You will never get out of here!"
Nick and Michael decided to search the expansive New Orleans City Park, which included botanical gardens and a museum. Meanwhile, Adam and Sharon woke up at the inn, still basking in the afterglow of their night together. They went to City Park, where they happily strolled. Sharon saw a carousel that reminded her of the one in Paris when she and Nick remembered Cassie. Sharon snapped out of her flashback and told Adam that she couldn't be with him. He protested but she insisted, "I have to go back to my family." As they hugged, Nick arrived and ordered Adam to take his hands off of Sharon. She was shocked by Nick's appearance, then Michael arrived to announce that the marshals were on their way. Adam was shocked when Nick said that Skye is missing and Adam is the prime suspect. After Adam was arrested and led away, Nick asked Sharon if she was being held against her will but she assured that Adam would never hurt her. When Sharon explained she was saying good-bye to Adam, Nick got upset. "You did that six months ago. I don't understand this hold he has over you," he fumed. Sharon assured that she wasn't confused anymore, but Nick said he didn't want to get married. "We're done," he spat. Sharon walked away. Phyllis suddenly appeared and sighed to an angry Nick, "She just can't get over him, can she?"
Thursday
Phyllis phoned Billy with their next cover story: Adam's arrest. She then stopped by at Jack's house to visit Summer before heading to the Restless Style office. Phyllis wasn't too happy to learn that Diane had been over for dinner and Jack said they can discuss it more later. Phyllis went to her office, where she gave Billy the juicy details on Dam's arrest and how Sharon had willingly been with him. Billy was reluctant to include Sharon in the story but Phyllis convinced him that they must.
Nick found Noah at Crimson Lights and reported that Sharon is safe. Noah was curious when his dad said that both Adam and Sharon were being questioned at the police station about Skye's disappearance. "They are building a case against Adam," Nick explained. "Maybe your mom can tell them something that will help." After Nick departed, Noah decided to check on his mom.
At the police station, Ronan surmised to Sharon that she and Adam conspired to get rid of his wife. Adam didn't want a lawyer as he insisted he didn't kill anyone. Ronan vowed that Adam wouldn't slip out of this one but Adam pointed out that Skye had a lot of enemies because she's scammed so many people, plus she's staged her death before. Adam decided he wanted a lawyer after all. Noah showed up and Sharon assured she was fine, then she was led away to the interrogation room. After a few questions, Sharon was allowed to go home.
Billy tried to tell Victoria that his next cover story was on Adam but she was more interested in making a baby. Nick's phone call interrupted them; he was looking for Phyllis. Billy suggested she might be at the police station. He was right, and Michael was peeved to see that Phyllis was trying to record Adam's interrogation and stopped her. Nick arrived and blasted Phyllis for staying behind in New Orleans after he told her to go home. "That's the beauty of being single, Nick," she countered. "You're not my father. You're not my boss. And you're not my husband anymore."
Nick visited his daughters at the Abbott mansion and told Jack that Sharon was hanging out with Adam in New Orleans. A disappointed Jack said that if she wanted Adam in her life, then there's nothing Nick can do to save her..... Vance was unavailable to represent Adam because he was in Hollywood for a big case so he sent his associate, Leslie. She assured Adam of stellar defense — as soon as she got her retainer fee. Adam said he was short on funds so Leslie said she couldn't help him and left.... Phyllis apologized to Jack for overreacting.... Sharon wanted to talk to Nick but he wasn't interested. "I understand why you broke off our engagement, and I don't blame you," Sharon sighed. "But I do hope that you reconsider, because I don't want to lose our family." Nick stalked away and Sharon feared he would never forgive her.... Adam was assigned a public defender and proclaimed his innocence to Sharon but she didn't know what to believe.... Michael told Nick that he spoke to the inn where Adam spent the night. "The person I spoke to confirmed that Sharon spent the night there with Adam," said Michael. "I'm sorry."
Friday
Lauren, Michael and Phyllis met with Vance's associate, Leslie, at the
courthouse to find out the judge's ruling on whether or not Daisy would be
released into Phyllis's custody. The judge arrived and quickly turned down
the petition and ordered Daisy to remain in jail. Lauren was greatly
relieved.
Kevin was with Chloe at Gloworm when Michael called with the news of the
judge's ruling. After hanging up, Kevin wondered if his sister will now
seriously consider letting him raise her baby. Chloe offered her support and
suggested that Kev get Rafe's help. Hogan showed up in search of Jeffrey but
Kevin explained that his mother and Jeff were in Florida. Hogan made a
veiled threat about Gloworm burning down to the ground so Kevin forked over
a "down payment" on what Jeffrey owed. Hogan was impressed and suggested
that he and Kevin do "business" together from now on and cut out Jeff. Hogan
pointed out that the arrangement could be very lucrative for Kevin, who said
he wasn't interested.
Nick demanded to know from Sharon what exactly happened in New Orleans.
After being prodded, Sharon finally confirmed that she willingly had sex
with Adam but she insisted that she loves Nick and wants them to be
together. Nick found that hard to believe and said he would sue for full
custody of Faith in order to keep her away from Adam.
Daniel told Phyllis that he was glad she didn't get custody of Daisy. He
still wanted the baby to be put up for adoption. Meanwhile, behind bars,
Daisy was overcome with pain and was rushed to the hospital. When Leslie
heard that her client became emotional after a visit from Lauren, the lawyer
threatened Mrs. Baldwin with a lawsuit of harassment if it happens again. At
the hospital, Leslie lent her cell phone to Daisy, who called Daniel to
report that something was wrong with their baby. He grudgingly came to the
hospital, where a doctor announced that Daisy would have to stay in bed for
the remainder of her pregnancy due to a distressed placenta. Since she lost
some blood, Daisy required a transfusion so Daniel agreed to keep her
company.
Jack visited Adam and taunted that he would be going down for Skye's murder.
Adam accused Jack of helping to stage Skye's death just to set him up. After
Jack left, Adam summoned Heather and asked her to prove his innocence but
she countered with, "You're screwed because I want you to suffer." Ronan
then shared that Adam's computer showed a recent on-line search for info on
how to dispose of a body. Adam scoffed that he wouldn't be stupid enough to
make such an obvious mistake and insisted he was being set up.
Rafe said it would require money for Kevin to fight for custody of Daisy's
baby. Kev lamented to Chloe that he's woefully short on funds and considered
accepting Hogan's offer to get involved in the bookie business. Chloe warned
against it but Kevin told Hogan that he's in.
The judge called Michael, Lauren and Phyllis back to court and revealed that
Daisy's latest condition puts a new spin on her situation. The judge then
reversed the earlier ruling and Phyllis was granted custody of Daisy. Lauren
was horrified and wasn't appeased by Phyllis's assurances that she'd watch
Daisy closely. Meanwhile, Daisy and Daniel were surprised when someone
showed up to fit her with an ankle monitor.
Diane encountered a depressed Nick at the bar…. Heather became alarmed when
Ronan once again collapsed…. Adam was shocked when Sharon returned to the
police station and declared that she believed he wasn't guilty. "You love
me?" he asked.
