Young and Restless Recaps

Monday

"I know I'm the last person you expected to hear from," a relieved Nikki
told Ashley. "I’m glad you decided to come." Nikki explained how Victor is
wanted for murdering the man responsible for Sabrina's death. Ashley was
certain of Victor's innocence and that he would recover from his emotional
pain on his own but Nikki urged Ashley to find Victor and help him. "You may
be the only person who can save him," Nikki begged. Ash still didn't think
she could help but Nikki gave her the address of the church where Victor was
supposedly lodging anyway. "If the situation were reversed, he would do it
for you," Nikki pointed out. Ashley departed without letting Nikki know what
she would do but later made arrangements for someone to take care of Abby
because "I have to go to France."

Noah found out from his parents about Victor's diary but Nick assured it's
all a lie. Noah wanted to forgo the Paris trip but Sharon insisted that he
go. After Noah left for France, Sharon confronted Jack and asked if he and
Adam had something to do with the journal. Jack's expression affirmed
Sharon's suspicion. Jack fibbed that Adam found the diary and that Jack just
arranged the introduction to an interested publisher. Sharon was infuriated
that Jack didn't consider how this would affect Noah. Jack suggested they go
to Paris together but Sharon insisted she wanted to go alone.

Heather verified for Adam that the rumor about a magazine publishing
excerpts of Victor's journal were true. She also explained that she needed
to track down where the journal came from and Adam admitted he was the one
who handed it over to the magazine. When he lied that he found it at the
ranch, Heather wanted to know why he didn't turn it over to her. "Victor
blackballed me out of spite," Adam explained. "I couldn't get a job. No one
was going to hire me. So I figured, when I found the journal, I could sell
this and at least be financially independent. Heather, the money that I'm
getting out of this is going to give us a chance at a whole new life."
Heather still wasn't please ... until Adam proposed to her. "Yes, I will
marry you!" Heather excitedly responded.

Nick, Victoria and Nick decided to hold a press conference to refute the
validity of the so-called journal. Once the press conference was convened
Nick called the journal a fraud and Victoria promised to step down from
Newman Enterprises if her father was guilty of killing Walter Palin. After
the conference, Nick called Nikki who said her plan to help Victor didn't
pan out that way she hoped so Nick announced he is going to Europe to search
for his dad.

Kay met up with Marge who confessed that her life is a mess due to alcohol
addiction. Kay offered to accompany her to an AA meeting and Marge
reluctantly agreed. After the meeting, Marge groused that she "don't feel no
different" but Kay urged her to give recovery time. Kay procured a promise
from Marge that she would call whenever she felt tempted to drink. After Kay
left, Marge took to the bottle.

Jill informed Billy and Cane that she had to take action because of
Katherine's recent mental slipups. If Kay refused to see a doctor to see if
she needs treatment for dementia or Alzheimer's, Jill announced to her sons
that "all business and personal decisions will be taken out of her hands."
Cane agreed that his grandmother be taken to to a doctor but cautioned Jill
not to "get ahead of yourself." Jill impressed that it was important that
they act fast. "If Katherine won't cooperate, we've got to do whatever's
necessary to take care of her," Jill stressed and Billy agreed. Esther
overheard them talking and blabbed to Kay what her family is up to.

Tuesday

Esther suggested to Katherine that they leave Genoa City together before
Jill, Billy and Cane could put La Chancellor "in a home." Kay confronted her
family members about what Esther heard and Jill insisted they were merely
coming up with ways to help. "She can't even eavesdrop properly," Jill
groused about Esther. Kay ordered her grandsons to scram so she could talk
to their "ringleader one-on-one." Once the ladies were alone, Jill revealed
that an attorney representing the stockholders would be issuing a petition
for Kay to submit to medical tests or else be voted out of Chancellor
Industries. Kay became infuriated and blasted her daughter for her "power
grab." Jill confessed, "I love you. I will not watch you fade away."
Katherine reluctantly agreed to show up for her doctor's appointment later
that day.

Lily was kind to Chloe when they encountered each other at Crimson Lights.
Billy and Cane showed up and Cane was impressed with how his brother
interacted with Ana. Cane was called away for a phone call and Ana blabbed
about Lily's new boyfriend. Billy tried to get details but Lily said she
hasn't communicated with "Sonny" since Halloween. Chloe bragged how she and
Cane have been surfing the Web for baby clothes and Lily carped, " I get it,
okay? You win. You are having Cane's baby, and you are living in our house,
and you have my engagement ring on your finger. So you can stop trying to
prove how tight you two are." Lily stormed off and Billy advised Chloe to
get over Lily and Cane's past.

Michael lamented to Gloria that his defense for River is "tanking." Michael
revealed that River's former best friend Marshall has been dead for 10
years. "Our best shot at bringing the man who blew up that bank and killed
the janitor to justice, that's all dead, too," Michael sighed. After Gloria
left, Michael listened to old audiotapes of witnesses who testified long ago
about River. Michael was the most interested in a young woman identified as
Tanya who claimed that she personally saw River setting off the bomb. A
shocked Michael immediately recognized his mother's voice. "She testified
against my father," Michael declared to Lauren and left a voicemail for
Gloria to call him at once.

Victoria, Nick and Phyllis tried to figure out who could have forged Victor's
so-called journal. Phyl surmised that it could be "somebody he fired who's
holding a grudge" Later, at Crimson Lights, Victoria and Phyllis saw Adam,
who was in a upbeat mood. He happily announced that he got engaged but after
he walked away, the gals immediately suspected that Adam is behind the
journal. Posing as Adam's assistant, Phyllis called Sophisticate and
verified that Adam had been recently paid by the magazine. Victoria angrily
confronted Adam and he admitted to "finding" Victor's journal. "He treated
me like crap, because you treated me like crap, because Nick treated me like
crap," Adam bitterly explained. "If I can't have the family I deserve, I
might as well get a little money. So don't blame me for this, okay,
Victoria? Blame yourself." Victoria refused to back down and vowed to bury
her brother with his own lies.

Ashley showed up at the church in France and asked about Victor. Father
Dominique revealed that Victor "is gone." In the room where Victor stayed,
they found the prayer card that Victor dropped and the priest urged Ashley
to find him. Father Dominique recalled Victor "mostly spoke of the wife he
lost, that she lived in Paris." Ashley decided to go to Paris to search for
Victor.

A beaten Katherine called Nikki and complained about Jill. " Have the exam,
but do it on your terms," Nik advised. "Take control back from Jill and the
lawyers and everybody. You're the most formidable woman I know." Kay was
buoyed by her friend's confidence, then asked where Nikki was. She admitted
she was in London to try and convince Ashley to help Victor, but it didn't
look like Ms. Abbott wanted to get involved.

Phyllis told Nick that Adam sold the journal to Sophisticate.... Cane
assured Lily that he and Chloe live in separate rooms and have separate
lives. "I love you," Cane insisted then asked about Lily's new boyfriend.
She admitted she hasn't met him yet but wanted to change that.... Esther
promised Kay that, no matter what the doctors say, she will always take care
of Mrs. C. "You're stuck with me forever," Esther vowed... Gloria crept back
into Michael's apartment and searched his box of tapes. Michael appeared and
accused Gloria of being Tanya and selling out River to the police. "I don't
know what you're talking about," Glo proclaimed and quickly left.

Wednesday

Gloria denied knowing anyone named Tania to Kevin. Kevin wasn't interested
in that, just his shares of Jabot. Kevin begged for money so he could buy
his own shares. Gloria told her younger son to be patient. He'd be getting
some money soon. Kevin told Amber and Daniel that Crimson Lights was in
financial straights. Kevin wished they hadn't burned up that money last
year.

Phyllis asked Daniel and Amber how things were going. They gushed and said
they were very happy. Phyllis got a call from Nick. She wanted him to take a
nap but he said he didn't have any time. He asked about the reaction to the
magazine with Victor's diaries. Apparently the magazine is sold out
everywhere. Phyllis was stunned to learn that Ashley Abbott was also on the
Victor hunt. Nick was worried about Victor's deepening depression. Phyllis
imagined surprising Nick in Paris. Phyllis announced to the office that
their cover model had dropped out. Phyllis' solution: Fly to Paris herself
and surprise Nick.

Lauren gave her husband a wakeup kiss. He had stayed up all night. Michael
said he was trying to find proof that Gloria was Tania. Lauren agreed it did
sound like her. Michael placed a call to Michigan Social Services, but
learned there was no Tania Simmons in any of their records. There was,
however, a GLORIA Simmons who had received aid at the request of Detective
Hampton. Michael realized Gloria sold phony information to the police for
money. Michael questioned Gloria again about Tania. He played the tape for
her. Gloria listened to the tape and realized Michael had her. She heard her
voice rat out Lowell. Gloria grew nervous and denied everything. Michael
mentioned Detective Hampton and Gloria's eye bugged out. "Alright, the
police asked me a few questions," Gloria confessed. Michael shared what he
had learned from Ann Arbor social services. Gloria looked sick and Michael
threatened to play the tape again. "You don't understand," Gloria said
beginning to cry. "You purposely destroyed a man's life," Michael screamed
at his mother. "Stop yelling at me," Gloria said crying. Lauren tried to
calm down the situation. "You are the reason I grew up without a father," he
yelled. Gloria tried to explain her behavior. Gloria said that the police
threatened her "with you. They said I had to choose between protecting your
father or protecting you," she said. A frazzled Michael wouldn't listen
despite Gloria's attempts to explain what it was like for her back then.
After Gloria had confessed to save Michael, she asked for some money as she
had nothing. "How do I help Lowell," Gloria begged. Michael didn't think
there was anything she could do. Gloria didn't want Lowell to find out what
had happened, but Michael said the truth would come out. Michael told Lauren
that his entire life had been thrown into a blender.

Michael visited Lowell in prison and told him about "Tania." Lowell quickly
guessed that Tania was Gloria. Michael was surprised that Lowell didn't seem
to care. "Don't tell her that I've known all along. I don't want to shame
her," Lowell said as Gloria walked into his cell. "You forgive me," Gloria
said weeping and falling into Lowell's arms.

Kay dropped in at Marge's. "You are drunk," Kay accused her look-alike. "We
are going to have to take more drastic measures," she added. Kay reserved a
bed for Marge at the rehab center and offered to drive her. Marge agreed to
go and Kay was delighted. Kay lent Marge her cell phone and told her to sit
tight. Kay asked Amber for some tea at Crimson Lights. She also called Marge
and asked for an update. Marge was struggling and begged Kay to come back
soon. Marge hung up and started drinking. Amber was concerned because Kay
was clearly forgetting things and confused. Kay left her bag at Crimson
Lights as she headed out. Kevin tried to catch up with her but couldn't.
Kevin opened her purse and found wads and wads of cash. "Where did you get
that money," Amber asked a surprised Kevin.

Nick visited the priest in the French countryside and saw where Victor had
stayed. Nick was surprised to hear that Victor had gone to confession. The
priest mentioned a woman who had come to find Victor. Nick called Nikki and
learned that Ashley was looking for Victor.

Meanwhile in Paris, Ashley started looking for Victor. She showed a waiter
his photo. Ashley remembered past tender moments with Victor. Ashley called
her daughter and they made plans to see Billy Elliott. Ashley recalled more
conversations with Victor.

Devon enjoyed eating some of Ana's candy. Olivia and Karen watched the
camaraderie with Neil, Devon, Tyra and Ana. Neil assured Karen that he
didn't want any more children. Olivia asked Tyra if she found Neil
attractive. Tyra reminded Olivia that Neil wasn't available. Karen told
Olivia that Neil was fine with her hysterectomy news. Olivia told Karen that
Neil stands by his words. The detective came into the club and asked Tyra
out on a date.

Thursday

Nikki met Katherine at the doctor's office. Jill and the attorney representing the Chancellor stockholders soon showed up, which didn't improve Kay's mood. "These are not senior moments," Jill said through clenched teeth. "I know this is exasperating, but just take the damn tests," Nikki advised her pal. "You'll prove them wrong." Nik then became concerned when Kay talked about David as if he was still alive. The doctor came in and asked Kay some questions that she was able to answer coherently. When Nikki brought up the mention of David, Kay claimed, "I forgot. That's all." The doc then wanted to admit Katherine into the hospital for "a full neurological work-up and a complete physical" but she insisted she had another appointment to keep (getting Marge to rehab). "You can not force me into the hospital," Kay screamed. Jill urged her mother to submit to the tests and Nikki comforted Kay as she feared becoming "old dotty lady everyone indulges." While Nikki went to talk to Jill about delaying the tests, Kay called Marge and figured out that her look-alike had been drinking. A worried Kay then slipped away. Jill and Nikki returned and panicked when they couldn't find Kay.

Phyllis greeted Billy when he started moving into the penthouse. Billy was delighted to have his own place. Among his belongings, Phyllis was surprised to see the sketches of Amber that Billy bought from Daniel's art show. "I cannot tell you how profoundly creepy it is for me to have to look at pictures that my son drew of his naked girlfriend," shuddered Phyllis. She then offered to buy them from Billy. Was she going to burn them?

Amber was aghast by the cash in the bag (it had been in Kay's handbag that she left accidentally) and Kevin lied and claimed it was the coffee house's receipts. Amber then tattled to Daniel that she saw Kevin with "thousands and thousands" of dollars. Daniel announced he would have a talk with Kevin. Kevin imagined some possible scenarios where he told Jana the truth — one was a black and white '50s sceneelain, another had Jana lying on the couch covered in cash. Finally, in reality, Kev told Jana that he found Katherine's cash and intended to give it back. He confessed to his wife that he felt confused about his identity and that he wasn't giving enough to make her happy. Jana assured that she is indeed in domestic bliss with him and couldn't ask for more. Still, Kevin's insecurity was palpable but he called Kay's cell to report her missing money. Marge answered and Kevin assumed he was talking to Kay but when he mentioned the lost loot, Marge said she had no idea what he was talking about.

In Paris, Ashley asked about Victor at the art museum where Sabrina was a curator but no one had seen him recently. The art curator confirmed how lovely Sabrina was and how devastated Victor must be. Ashley called Nikki with the news that she ahs hit a dead end in her search for Victor. She asked Nikki if she had anymore leads but she didn't. Nik urged Ashley to press on and not give up. Ash continued her search.

Lily texted with Sonny, still unaware that he's really Billy. She apologized for not meeting up with him on Halloween. They exchanged their unlucky-in-love stories but admitted they would be willing to give romance another try and discussed another possible meeting.

Phyllis told her son that she bought the sketches of Amber to give back to him. Daniel was touched by the gesture. Phyllis departed for the photo shoot in Paris and looked forward to surprising Nick there.

Friday

A lonely Jack left an "I miss you" voicemail on Sharon's cell. Adam showed
up and announced that the FBI wanted to interview him about Victor's
journal. "We're screwed," Adam fretted but Jack pointed out that without
Victor, the journal couldn't be disproved. Jack coached Adam on what answers
to give to the authorities. Ghostly John appeared and asked his son if all
these anti-Victor stuff was worth losing Sharon.

Nick called Sharon and, after revealing that he could only call out on his
cell but couldn't receive calls, they were surprised to learn that they were
both in Paris. They met at a little bistro in The Left Bank. Sharon touched
Nick's hand when he admitted he was worried that he'd never see his father
again.

Kevin again called Kay's cell, which was answered by a drunken Marge. Kev
explained he had her money but was concerned by how "Kay" sounded. Marge
hung up on her caller, leaving Kevin mystified. Jeffrey saw Marge at the
dive bar and assumed she was Kay. After he left, Kay showed up to take
Marge to the "finest rehab in the country." Kay escorted her soused pal to
Murphy's trailer so Marge could take a shower. Kay asked for her cell phone
back but when Marge couldn't find it, she realized she left it behind at the
bar. Kay brought along some of her clothes for Marge to change into then
realized that she didn't have her money. Marge recounted that someone named
Kevin kept calling Kay's phone about money.

Jill was freaking out when she couldn't find Katherine or reach her on her
cell. She wanted to call the police but Nikki advised Jill not to over
react. Kay called Nikki from Murphy's trailer and insisted she was helping a
friend. Kay promised to see the doctor tomorrow and hung up. Marge put on
the clothes Katherine lent her for her trip to the rehab. Katherine also
gave Marge her scarf for good luck.

Jeff told Gloria that he saw a sloshed Kay so it was time to swoop in and
get her Jabot stock. Gloria shared with Jill that Kay was spotted at Jimmy's
bar. Jill called Nikki and told her to meet her there. Jill, Nikki, Gloria ,
Jeff and Esther converged at the dive bar but couldn't find Kay. Nikki
couldn't believe that Katherine would be drinking. The bartender gave them
Kay's cell phone.

Amber told Daniel that she heard Kevin yelling at Katherine over the phone
and suspected "something serious is going down." Katherine called Kevin and
asked him to bring her money to the Chancellor estate. Amber and Daniel were
suspicious when Kevin left to see Kay and also noticed that Fisher was
hiding something under his coat.

Ashley showed up at Notre Dame in search of Victor. A woman saw her holding
the prayer card of St. Raymond and explained there was a statue of the saint
in "the back of the cathedral." Ashley found the statue and prayed for help
in finding Victor. She broke down in tears and begged for help for Victor.
"Please protect him," she said. She was surprised when she suddenly saw him.

Eden suggested to Noah that they ditch their school group so they can
explore Paris on their own…. Kevin showed up at Katherine's estate but no
one answered the door. He decided against leaving the money on the front
stoop….Phyllis arrived in Nick's hotel room.... Marge and Kay were on the
way to the rehab facility. The rain poured down. Kay's eyes widened when we
heard screeches and the sounds of a car crash.
