I love how Y&R leaves the door open for original actors to come back and reprise their characters when story dictates. And they give powerhouse performances:

Tracey Bregman as Lauren, Beth Maitland as Traci, Lauralee Bell as Christine, Thom Bierdz as Phillip III, Beau Kazer as Brock and now Tricia Cast as Nina. Its almost as like these characters never left. Y&R has an embarrassment of riches in the flashback department. Thats one thing other soaps that are recast happy can't boast. For example, half of ATWT's final cast is unrecognizable. Flashbacks? Forget it!

I love seeing familiar faces come back if only for a few days or weeks. It mirrors life in which people weave in and out of our lives all of the time.

Last comment: If Tricia Cast does not submit this week of shows as her Emmy reel for next year, its a travesty. She's a shoo in for Supporting Actress this year. Discuss.

I myself have always loved her acting. She has always been an unassuming character in her looks but in her passion I really think there has no one been better. I would agree her acting this week has been off the wall, she has been so believable and I think she should win some kind of award for this weeks performance.

Absolutely, she is just hitting it out of the park with her performance this week. Best we have seen for a long time, and what a great crier she is. Wow, you can just feel the emotions coming off of her. She must go home and have a nice big glass of wine at the end of the day to shake those scenes off.

She makes you believe she really lost a child. Her acting is so great that you can feel her pain. Christine is even doing a great job. This week has been great watching Y & R. I just hope they don't cancel each other out come Emmy time.

SHE really nailed it on the whole "folding of the flag and presentation" it was like watching a person actually go through that!I deemed NOTHING fake in any of her emotions.. what an actress!

I totally agree with everyone, Tricia Cast (Nina) has been at her best this week. She does need to be nominated for Best Supporting Actress next year at the Emmy's. She has played her heart out and deserves it. I had a feeling Chance was still alive and to see her face light up when she saw him was priceless. Thom Bierdz was great too. Y&R is finally on the right track with bringing everyone back. LOVE IT!
