WHERE THE HELL IS MELODY SCOTT THOMAS' name? It is an outrage that she is not on the list. Another year, another blatant omission.

Posted Mon Mar 2, 2009, 1:29 PM — By Melissa

Yay for Bree Williamson! She was amazing this year during Nash's death and as Tess and Bess, she really deserves to win.

Posted Mon Mar 2, 2009, 1:48 PM — By JC

Margie - blame her castmates. They vote on their peers for these pre-noms.

Posted Mon Mar 2, 2009, 3:53 PM — By richard jones

Not only was Melody Thomas Scott snubbed, but what happened to Eric Braeden? Where is Jess Walton's name?

Posted Mon Mar 2, 2009, 4:14 PM — By Ruben

Where is Joshua Morrow? and Nancy Lee Grahn? and Greg Vaughan? and Kristian Alfonso? ... I'm happy for Adrienne Frantz, Jacob Young and Jay Kenneth Johnson.

Here hoping that Thorsten Kaye/Zach and Alicia Minshew/Kendall win a Emmy.GOOD LUCK.

The emmys are getting worse and worse every year. Some of these actors/actresses work their butts off all year and then one character comes around for a a week and their nominated! Come on! Even if the Emmys is on any network it probably won't be worth watching!

Posted Mon Mar 2, 2009, 11:18 PM — By Sal

I hope the following win: Katherine Kelly Lang BOLD Robert S. Woods OLTL Tamara Braun (DAYS)/Kathy Brier OLTL Van Hansis ATWT Kristen Anderson OLTL HANDS DOWN. Eddie Anderson OLTL/Blake Berris DAYS KKL is a wonderful actress AND REALLY deserves to win sooner rather than later, escpecially since this is 2009, the year of hope!

No Steve Burton? Alicia Minshew in supporting actress??? She carried the story for a full year. The Daytime Emmys are a joke. Melody Thomas Scott gave the performance of the year and no prenom...Shameful!

The Daytime Emmy stink the Young and the Restless is the best soap on T.V.and they get passed over every year. They keep their story lines moving, unlike some you could miss a weeks worth of shows ,and go back and pick-up the same stuff as when you last seen it.Young and the Restless had some wonderful story lines this year, but as usual they'll get pass over again. With actors and actress like that it's a shame .

Posted Tue Mar 3, 2009, 7:35 PM — By Dana

YEAH for Becky Herbst. A story that was nothing but a BS storyline to whitewash skanky Sam backfired and only drew attention to the beautiful Becky! Don't agree with the two lead actors for GH, MO & Tony, but Burton is worse than both, so not sure who I would have chosen.

These pre-nominations just spell one thing--DISASTER to its core. There are a few nice choices, but there are many glaring omissions as well. The pre-nominees are not chosen by fellow cast members, but by the executive producers of each respective show. I bet Columnist Michael Logan is just seething now with these pre-nominations. It is a shame that Melody Thomas Scott and Eric Braeden were overlooked. Also, I cannot believe that the best actress in all of daytime was shut out. That special lady is Deidre Hall. She may not have had a great story compared to other years, but to not see her listed is plain cruel. To that end, I have a way how to select the nominations and the winners-to-be, but I want to get in touch with Michael Logan to share with him my thoughts and ideas. How do I get a hold of this talented writer? Does anyone know how? Anyone who can, reply to this post, I have googled him many times, but I cannot locate an email address. I read his weekly TV Guide comments, too. I wish I had his jo

Where is Kristan Alfonso(days) name at? Why is Melanie nominated? She is horrible! What about Shelly Henning?

Posted Wed Mar 4, 2009, 8:56 AM — By Sherraine Green

I hope that this is finally the time for Bradford Anderson (GH's Spinelli) to win. He is amazing in his role, and has been since day 1. Also, Steve Burton keeps me watching General Hospital, and Bruce Weitz was just amazing as Anthony Zachara. Talk about sinister, he is the best of the best. I agree where is Kristan Alfonso's name. Come on Days!

Posted Wed Mar 4, 2009, 12:11 PM — By Sophie

WHAT??????????? Is this a JOKE? Most of these people could NOT act there way out of a bag of chips. Jacqueline Wood is a JOKE, Becky Herbst did NOTHING this year, and dont get me going on Farah Fath!( PUKE). Its about time that Katherine Kelly Lang gets a nom, LOVE Bradford, Bree, Maura and Grayson. And the reason Kristian is NOT on there is cause she doesnt deserve it. And what is Steve Burton getting an emmy for? Looking HOT does NOT mean you should win.

Say what you will about Peg, but where the heck is Roger Howarth?! He had some incredible scenes in 2008

I love Maurice Beanard (Sonny). I think he is a great actor and being hot doesnt hurt. Anthony Geary is great. Rebecca Herbst is a mess, she CANNOT act. I am happy for them all....

Posted Fri Mar 6, 2009, 12:43 PM — By Debbie

GH - Claudia and Carly, you got to be kidding. It's because of characters like them that this show has gone down hill.

Those are REAL GREAT choices!!! Don't dissapoint us.... Make the right ones..... Thank you Heather

ATWT's: YES Maura West...sooo happy for her. Why is Janet nominated? I have no idea why! I'm glad Michael Park and Grayson are nominated their amazing.

Bree Williamson was awesome. I havent seen such an outstanding performance by an actress on that show since Judith Light won back to back Emmys for her portrayal of Karen Wolek. Bree ran the gamut of emotions while playing both characters and she truly shined. She deserves the Emmy this year for sure.

Posted Mon Mar 9, 2009, 12:36 PM — By stephanie schwam

what is your problem why is it that Jake Silbermann not nominated for outstanding younger actor for As the world Turns he so deserves it more than the others that are nominated in that catagory.

Posted Mon Mar 9, 2009, 1:48 PM — By sandra cheney

please not jacquiline macinnes wood {b&b steffy}. she is a terrible actress as is kyle lowder. better choices could have been made as far as bold and beautiful are concerned.

Posted Tue Mar10, 2009, 10:33 PM — By Dawn H

I agree that Melody Thomas Scott had an unbelievable year. Her role was played beautifully. I am tired of AMC, period. Every episode is SO predictable. I have enjoyed a lot of the story lines on OLTL, which I never previously have caught much of. I like Y & R because they move the story line quickly, which is a pleasant change from MANY of the soaps today. I think I can tune in 2 years later, and a story line is STILL going on. Get with the program producers, etc....Your viewers have been begging for years for better story lines!! OH, AND WHERE'S ALL THE ROMANCE....I can catch cop shows on every channel with enough blood and guts to make me hurl..I turn to soaps to "get away" from it all.

TRULY rewarding emmys need to go to DRAMA SERIES: ONE LIFE TO LIVE(ABC) ACTRESS: JEANNE COOPER Y & R (CBS) ACTOR: ANTHONY GEARY GH (ABC) SUP ACTOR: TUC WATKINS OLTL (ABC) SUP ACTOR: BREE WILLIAMSON OLTL(ABC) YOUNGER ACTRESS: KIRSTEN ALDERSON OLTL (ABC) YOUNGER ACTOR: DARRIN BROOKS DOOL (NBC) WRITING: THE YOUNG & RESTLESS(CBS) DIRECTION: ALL MY CHILDREN (ABC)

Posted Wed Mar18, 2009, 11:15 PM — By Gaffke Heilo

What does an emmy get them ? A brand new storyline a raise ? firing ? cancellation ? Try a big fat nothing

Posted Sun Mar22, 2009, 4:06 PM — By Teri

Who cares about Y&R? It's always the same CBS people that win the awards--and for what, I don't know. It's nice to see some ACTUAL talent getting recognized for their awesome work. If you ask me, all the CBS soaps have lousy actors and actresses not to mention poor storylines.

Posted Tue Mar24, 2009, 2:01 PM — By Jean

I think Allison Sweeney (Samantha Brady)should be up for an award, she has a difficult role and does great in it.

Posted Wed Mar25, 2009, 11:03 PM — By Jasmine`

I'll be cheering for Julie Marie Berman for younger actress, thought she was simply phenomenal during her breakdown storyline. Also cheering for Debbi Morgan from All My Children for lead actress, so good! Those are my two fave nominees, but where is MST and EB from Young and the Restless, they were so amazing this year

Posted Thu Mar26, 2009, 12:36 PM — By Devin C. Powell

First let me say how excited I am that daytime will be honored this year with a telecast. Now...the pre-noms list posted here is good. Although, I feel Bree Williamson(Jess/Tess/Bess)should be in the Lead Actress category. She has lead story for the last 2 years. And in my opinion, is giving Erika Slazak(sp)a run for her money in the multiple peronality department. And I'm sure Erika has given her great pointers on how to handle such hard work. I'm also excited to see Debbie Morgan, Maura West and Darnell Williams in the Lead category. But where the hell is Robin Strasser??? I know these are the pre pre-noms, so I do hope to see her in the final list. And I think that OLTL shold take the cake this year! I know Y&R is #1 in the ratings but OLTL is the show that is telling great story and is MUST SEE TV!!!

Posted Thu Mar26, 2009, 2:43 PM — By Christopher Graves

I am happy about all of the nominees. My question is WHY DIDN'T ANY OF THE MAJOR NETWORKS ESPECIALLY CBS pick up the Emmys this year? If the networks that show these daytime soaps are not even acknowledging their contributions, what kind of message is that sending out? What is the C W Network? I have never heard of that....

Posted Thu Mar26, 2009, 6:04 PM — By Kelly

OMG you got to be kidding!! it seems like all the cbs shows get all the wins year after year. i agree with some of you- days has been overlooked year after year and they never win. i think deidre hall and drake hogestyn should have been nominated along with Kristian and Peter. Once again, the best soap on the air has been overlooked again. I think Melody Thomas Scott had a great year and she too got overlooked. come on people, vote for the people that can act!

Posted Sat Mar28, 2009, 12:52 AM — By Carla Kathleen Anderson

My vote for best supporting actress would be Senta Moses who plays Winnifred on GH. She is new, yes! .... but she is refreshing, funny, adorable ... and stays true to her character at all times ... she has added so much to GH .. which I think has become dull ... and I look forward to seeing her on more ... and more! Her acting is fabulous and she should be nominated. Thanks. CKA

To me is Meredith Hagner who played Liberty on As The World Turns her acting is good she's been on the show like a year April 2008 doing good job she talk funny, she married to Parker played by Mick Hazen.

Posted Tue Apr 7, 2009, 5:28 PM — By elaine

i agree with alot of you. where was melody from y&r also eric. i also hope that bree take home the award she was great this year

Posted Tue Apr 7, 2009, 8:35 PM — By Anthony Jr.

These 4 young actress are amazing this I going say Meredith Hagner played (Liberty) from "As the World Turns," she should nominated because she's a 21/22 year old actress I hope she could me it the storyline about marriage is good, Kristen Alderson played Starr on "One Life to Live," Jacqueline Woods of "Bold & the Beauitful," Kristin Storm from "General Hospital" will make.

Posted Thu Apr 9, 2009, 11:16 AM — By Anthony Jr.

3 Young actors are amazing I going to put my vote on: Mick Hazen of "As the World Turns," Darin Brooks of "Days of our Lives," and Brandon Buddy of "One Life to Live."

Posted Wed Apr15, 2009, 12:47 AM — By Arron

I just can't believe that Trevor St. John (Todd-OLTL)did not get a nod.

Posted Thu May 7, 2009, 4:10 PM — By Ray

I am sooooooooooooooooooo excited for Julie Pinson (Janet). She may not exactly be a front runner on this show but an Emmy has been a long time coming for her anyway! Also super stoked for Bobbie Eakes, she was so amazing after Babe's death I knew she would get nominated.

Posted Sat May 9, 2009, 10:37 AM — By AMC Fan

It's a shame David Canary is not on the list. He's always been the consumate actor and with rumors he might be leaving AMC, it would have been nice for him to get one more Emmy for his role as Adam/Stuart.

Posted Sun May10, 2009, 6:16 PM — By jennifer

I HOPE ALL MY CHILDREN TAKES ALL THE AWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted Wed May13, 2009, 9:48 AM — By OLTL Fan4ever

What about Carmen LoPorto (Jack Manning) on One Life To Live. He definately deserves to be nominated. I guess there's always next year!

Posted Thu Jun 4, 2009, 4:15 AM — By jessica

bree williamson should've had the nomination for lead actress with all she's done with nash's death and then tess/bess and now with today's show with admitting her baby's dead that was so emotional and sad i cried....she is such an amazing actress and so should've been up for lead instead of supporting....sure wish i could find a way at least to make sure she wins it though!!!!
