"Come one, come all!" invites Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R) about her upcoming appearance at this year's Indiana Derby, which will be held at Hoosier Park on October 6 (www.hoosierpark.com). "I've never been to a derby but I have gone to horse races and they're a lot of much fun, so I'm really looking forward to this."

The actress will be on hand for a meet and greet with fans as well as sign autographs. "I'll be meeting with the peeps and then I get to go into the winner's circle," she marvels. "And I think I'm singing the National Anthem too... [laughs] Not really! But I get to hang with a bunch of great people so I'm really excited."

Stafford already has a plan of action for when she’s at the starting gate. "When the race starts I'm going to have to close my eyes or look down," she winces. "I'm always nervous that one of the horsies is going to fall. It's crazy of me."
