ALL MY CHILDREN FeatureGreat Expectations— By Mara Levinsky Now that AMC's Alicia Minshew (Kendall) has announced her pregnancy, we look back at some other prominent moms-to-be in Pine Valley history.
Susan Lucci (Erica, r.) raised a glass with Ruth Warrick (ex-Phoebe) while pregnant with son Andreas in 1980.
Here's a very-pregnant Julia Barr (ex-Brooke) in 1984; daughter Alison Hirschlag later played Lizzie on GL.
Kelly Ripa's (ex-Hayley) first pregnancy, with son Michael, wasn't written into the show, but her protruding belly was hard to miss in this 1997 shot, taken in her dressing room.
In 2001, when Ripa was expecting daughter Lola, Hayley was pregnant, too. Here, she receives good tidings from R&B stars Shaggy and Rayvon.
Here's Finola Hughes's (ex-Anna/Alex) bump in 2000; son Dylan arrived shortly thereafter.
Petite even by soap standards, here's Terri Ivens (ex-Simone, l.) when she was four months along with daughter Kiana in 2004. Also pictured: Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee)
In this 2007 shot of Sydney Penny (ex-Julia), she is five months pregnant with son Chasen. Also pictured: Alexa Gerasimovich (Kathy).
In 2001, when Beth Ehlers (Taylor) was GL's Harley, she gave birth to son Hank; it was Ricky Paull Goldin, now AMC's Jake, who, as Gus, helped Harley deliver her on-screen son.
In 2001, Eva La Rue (ex-Maria) welcomed daughter Kaya with then-husband John Callahan (ex-Edmund). After a 5-year absence, she returned to the show the next year.

I hope AMC would write Alicia's real life pregnancy into the script and let Kendall give birth to a daughter for a change.
