AMC's Leven Rambin plays Lily, a young woman living with autism, and she doesn’t leave her job behind when she leaves the set. Fighting autism has become a cause close to Rambin's heart.

She recently took part in an event put on by Build-a-Bear Workshop and the Teletubbies. "The event was about celebrating 10 years of the Teletubbies, and the impact it continues to have on children with autism, with a fun event at the Build-a-Bear Workshop," shares Rambin. "The kids were in heaven creating bears with Teletubbies merchandise. There was an autistic child there who was absolutely overjoyed with being able to hug Tinky Winky. I was so touched to see the impact these characters have on these children.”

Rambin was thrilled to be at the event. "I really wanted to be a part of this event to support Cure Autism Now and Teletubbies' joint venture, and to get hands-on time with the kids. I actually helped design a bear for each of the Teletubbies complete with Cure Autism Now logo pins."

One of the bears created by Rambin — the Po bear — was auctioned off on Friday, May 25. Proceeds from the Build-a-Bear Workshop promotion items will benefit Cure Autism Now and Autism Speaks.
