2003: Kendall was swept off her feet by Michael, a criminally misogynistic creep who showed his true colors by attempting to rape her and Erica and actually raping Bianca. Kendall and Erica grew closer and resolved to make a fresh start. When Bianca killed Michael in self-defense, Kendall protected her sis, faking both a marriage to Cambias and a pregnancy (though it was actually Bianca who'd been impregnated by him). This jeopardized her nascent reconciliation with Erica. Greenlee and Kendall battled for control of Fusion. Kendall and Aidan's relationship grew stronger and he declared his love, but when Ryan returned, they fell back into each other's arms.

2004: A mistrial spared Kendall from what looked like a certain conviction. However, her re-engagement to Ryan went belly-up when she accused him of being in cahoots with Greenlee to expose her fake pregnancy. Kendall focused her energies on rebuilding Fusion and, especially, on the well-being of Bianca and her unborn child.
