1997: Jake pursued a newlywed Liza, but she and Adam were slowly falling in love for real. Liza became pregnant, but the baby was stillborn after Liza was on a doomed TransGlobal flight. When Liza learned that Adam was behind the flight's mishaps, albeit inadvertently, she was crushed and left him. They reconciled after Liza learned the pregnancy ended due to a medical condition unrelated to the crash.

1998: Liza and Adam hit the skids again, and she divorced him. Liza wanted to become a mom, and Jake agreed to donate his sperm to the cause. Adam secretly swapped sperm samples so that he would be the baby's biological pop. Unaware of what Adam had done, a pregnant Liza agreed to reconcile with her ex.

1999: With Adam by her side, Liza gave birth to a baby girl, Colby. Jake demanded to play a role in Colby's life, upset that Liza had reunited with Adam. Liza became Mrs. Adam Chandler for the second time.

2000: All hell broke loose when Liza learned about Adam's sperm bank trickery. She divorced him, but the duo couldn't stay apart for long.

2001: Liza married Adam for the third time this year. But when he slept with a judge in an effort to safeguard son JR's future, Liza was horrified and landed in bed with Ryan Lavery. Adam walked in on them and flipped. Liza became pregnant by Ryan, but miscarried. Liza slowly built a relationship with half sister Mia.

2002: Liza underwent brain surgery for a tumor that made her behave erratically. Adam tried to gaslight Liza into thinking she was crazy in order to get custody of Colby; she caught on and they managed to reach a truce, but not before a paranoid Liza accidentally pushed Mia out of a window.

2003: Adam and Liza's experiment with marital counseling was a bust and the couple divorced for the third time. She and Tad flirted with becoming involved again, but he decided he didn't want to risk their friendship.

2004: Liza pursued Tad with renewed vigor, offended by his liaisons with Krystal and Simone. But Tad made it clear that their relationship was going to remain platonic.
