AS THE WORLD TURNS Feature
Behind the Scenes at the St. Jude's benefitHogestyn met up with ATWT's Jon and Kelley Menighan Hensley (Holden and Emily) backstage. "I'm so excited to be here," said Hogestyn. "Anything for the kids."
Winsor Harmon (BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL's Thorne; ex-Del, ALL MY CHILDREN) was the proud papa and showed former AMC co-star Cady McClain (Rosanna, ATWT; ex-Dixie) photos of his new son, Winsor IV, who goes by Sonny.
ATWT vet and L.A.-based actor Greg Watkins (ex-Evan Walsh) was happy to be at the event. "I sang Some Kind of Wonderful to the best of my ability after a red-eye and barely an hour a sleep," he revealed. "I muddled through it the best I could. It's great to be back and see everyone, all my old friends on the show. Once you're on a soap, events like this create a family atmosphere. It was lovely to be remembered after eight years, people still knew who I was and that is impressive."
Troy Kurtis (Nico, GUIDING LIGHT) sang a string of songs early in the night -- including the Marc Anthony hit My Baby You -- then chilled the rest of the evening.
AMC's Rebecca Budig, Elizabeth Hendrickson, Terri Ivens and Alicia Minshew (Greenlee, Maggie, Simone and Kendall) caught a quick bite to eat backstage before going back out to greet the fans.
Greg Rikaart (Kevin, Y&R) arrived with on-screen brother Christian LeBlanc (Michael). The guys "had a few days off" so they headed East for the big party.
Linda Dano (Rae, OLTL) only stayed a few minutes because she was in between engagements. But she made the most of time, mingling with a bunch of fans as her entourage looked on (and held her wine).
Lesli Kay (Molly, ATWT) had been under the weather for the last couple of weeks. "I feel like I should be wearing a sign saying, 'highly contagious,'" she confessed.
Grayson McCouch (Dusty, ATWT) and Ellen Wheeler (ex-Marley, AW/ATWT; now an ATWT director) chatted with ATWT executive producer Chris Goutman and GL executive producer John Conboy in the VIP area.
