Cabot Motors

2003: To protect Carly, Craig lied to Ro that he was the one who had slept with her on the eve of her wedding. His devastated wife ordered him and Carly to vacate Monte Carlo immediately; she also bought the late Jake's penthouse. Carly blabbed to Craig about Ro's surgery, and he rushed to her side, supporting her through the tough time. Ro proposed to him while she was recovering, and later learned from her doc that Carly was expecting. Though Ro broke the pregnancy news to Mike, the truth about the one-night stand came out without her help. She briefly broke up with Craig over his tryst with Carly, but they reunited, and her relationship with Lucy substantially improved when she helped the teen arrange secret rendezvous with Aaron. When Carly's difficult pregnancy jeopardized her ability to design for Monte Carlo, Ro hired Barbara to do the job, stirring up old tensions between the sisters and more problems with Craig, who enlisted Emily and Rose to help kidnap Babs. The truth came out when Barbara escaped and showed up at the Montgomerys' wedding to point fingers at Craig, who was more angry to learn that Ro had been helping Lucy see Aaron, and left her on their wedding night. To make matters worse, Carly disappeared after a few public clashes with Rosanna, who was arrested for her sister's "murder." Once she was exonerated (by a letter left by Carly, who was alive and well in Montana), she and Craig reconciled and renewed their vows, then headed to Montana for her sister's wedding to Jack. There, Rosanna and Carly patched things up, and Ro became godmother to Carly and Jack's daughter, Sage. Ro then turned her attention to getting a child of her own, but Craig didn't want a baby. She turned to new friend Paul (who was living in the penthouse that Rosanna owns) for support, while Craig sabotaged their chances for adoption. Despite the lies and discord, they managed to hold onto their marriage, and Craig surprised Rosanna with a baby on Metro's opening night. They named their new son Cabot, and Rosanna ignored signs that his adoption might not have been on the up-and-up, while Carly suspected the worst. Around this time, Paul dumped Rose at the altar and was suspected of her murder. Rosanna believed him when he swore that he was innocent. A jealous Craig tried to frame Paul for the crime; Rosanna bailed him out.

2004: Paul was cleared, but learned that Craig had set him up. In retaliation, he reported Craig's illegal adoption of Cabot (which Molly told him about) to the Canadian authorities. An oblivious Rosanna was devastated to learn that her son would be taken away. She turned first to sister Carly and then to best friend Paul for help. The guilty man offered to help her skip town and almost went with her, but she turned the baby over to the police and tearfully told Craig that he was dead to her. After asking Paul to watch over Lucy and urging Lucy to lean on Paul, a still clueless Rosanna thanked her supportive friend and left town.
