In Memoriam: Benjamin HendricksonI've been watching As the World since the 80's. My teenager years were
spent watching the show. "Hal" has been a staple for me. I loved it when
they focused on the police station and hunting for criminals. His scenes
were always phenomenal. Hi my name is Tonya G. from Phoenix AZ and I was so saddened to hear about his passing. He definitely was one of my favorite actors on As The World Turns. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends and those who worked closely with him. He always played his part so well and he really put his all into it. He will be dearly missed. My Condolences, Tonya Goody Phoenix, AZ I feel so sad ....we lost a great actor and good man. Why ..why...why... He was so loved and respected. each day is hope, each day is a new beginning. Wish i could have told him that. Why would someone just take his life when he had so much going for him? Hal Munson/Benjamin Hendrickson...We love you ...You will be deeply missed! Love Roberta and Rodd NY and NC. I was so surpised to hear about Benjamin's (Hal) sudden death. I am a beloved fan of his and have been watching him on ATWT ever since he started on there when I was a little girl. He is going to be missed terribly. I want to sent out my sincerely condolances to his family both at home and on ATWT. I love ATWT and it just won't be the same without him. It is so ironic that the day that I found out he had died was the same day the Jennifer his TV daughter died. It is so sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone he is associated with. Kelli I watched ATWT since I was a child and am now 34. In the past 21 years there has never been a character that has touched me like the character Benjamin Hendrickson portrayed in Hal Munson. How more un-soap like can you get! He was not your typical Tom Cruise looking male actor. He was teddy bear cute, funny and just plain lovable. I was deeply affected and saddened by his passing. However, I was not totally shocked. I think his puppy dog eyes contained a certain sadness to them which I always wandered if was his character look or something in real life. I have followed ATWT through some tough times. I was equally saddened when Michael David Morrison (Caleb Snyder) died in the early 1990's. This cast comes into my home everyday and it is impossible for me to not feel like I am losing part of my own family. My sympathies and prayers are with the cast and crew of ATWT. Sincerely, Susan F. I cannot begin to put into words how sad several members of my family are over the tragic loss of Ben a.k.a. "Hal". The character of Hal that we have grown to love over the years, was not just a figure on TV, he was a part of our family. As crazy as that sounds to some (the men in the family!), I know other devoted ATWT fans will agree. We just hope that whatever problem he had that was too difficult for him to handle on his own has been turned over to God and that he may rest peacefully in His hands for eternity. Our prayers and condolences go out to Ben's family and friends during this difficult time of mourning. Nichole Coffman, Jenni Patterson, Dawn Durgin, Wilmer & Trudi Malcom (devoted ATWT fans--for 4 generations) I was very shocked and not to mention sadden to read about Benjamin Hendrickson (Hal). As the world turns is one of my favorite soap opera. I will miss him dearly and of course it will not be the same. I've watched Hal play the chief of detectives for years and he was an outstanding actor, he will truly be missed. We Love you Hal Doris Smith Rowlett, Texas Next >>
