BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL Interview

Bell and Ewell
— CBS

A Q&A with B&B's Drew Tyler Bell (Thomas) and Kayla Ewell (Caitlin)

Digest: Do you surf?
Ewell: Yeah, but I'm not that good, so we can both be bad at it. I live by the beach and he's always asking me, "Are you going to take me surfing?" So, he wants to get over his phobia, he just can't help it. It's hard for him to take showers, too.
Bell: Okay, now that's definitely how rumors get started.
Ewell: I told you it's more juicy when I do it. So, tell them something about me.
Bell: She's not afraid of sharks. Is that juicy enough?
Ewell: No.
Bell: She took my parking spot today.
Ewell: Okay, first of all, it's not his parking spot. It doesn't have his name on it. It's this hidden BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL spot he told me about. I took it because you weren't there yet. It's not like you had to park hours away.
Bell: You should know, then, that I'm hurt deeply when you take my spot.
Ewell: I'm sorry, but you should have known better than to tell me about it. I'm going to come a half-hour early every day so I can get that spot.
Bell: This makes her evil. I can just see my parents calling me, "Uh, Drew, it's the Fourth of July. Where are you?" And I'll say, "I'm at the B&B parking lot, saving my parking space." See, you're already ruining my holidays.

Digest: Kayla, you recently moved out on your own?
Ewell: I did. It's been good and bad. I have to clean my house, shop for my own groceries and cook. It's been a growing experience for me, but the hardest part is being away from my family. We're very close. I have two brothers and a sister, so my house was always full of people. And now that I live in a place with just my roommate and me, it's a lot quieter, and I really miss my family. It's been a big change, but I feel like it's all settling now, and it's really enjoyable. [To Bell] Are you reading a magazine while I talk? Am I boring you?
Bell: I'm just glancing through the pages.

Digest: Drew, you're still living with your parents, but you moved into a bigger house, right?
Bell: Yeah, I have my own bathroom now, which I'm excited about, but it does have pink tile in it.
Ewell: Mine has fish tile. Oh, you wouldn't like my bathroom because it has marine life. Too scary.
Bell: Very funny. I'll probably cover up the pink tile with duct tape.
Ewell (sarcastic): Oh, yeah, that would be pretty.
Bell: Duct tape always gets the ladies. It makes them think, "This guy needs help."
