After switching to a tight new filming schedule, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL's cast is off until Aug. 18. Weekly caught up with new addition Brandon Beemer (Owen) to talk vacation time and his character's summer hijinks with Donna.

Soap Opera Weekly: You just got started, and now you're on vacation. What's that about?
Brandon Beemer: (laughs) I'm not looking forward to it. I can handle a week off, but anything more than a week and then it just turns into, "What am I going to do with my life? What's going on here?" I like working.

Weekly: I can't even take a three-day weekend. I'm too neurotic.
Beemer: I could handle three days. (laughs) Three weeks is a different story.

Weekly: Do you feel like your acting muscles get atrophied?
Beemer: Yes. Exactly. It's hard, because you get so set on memorizing lines, and you get so into the storyline and everything, and then all of a sudden it's like, "Oh. Okay." Three weeks cools you down.

Weekly: But things on the show are definitely heating up. Does Owen have real feelings for Donna?
Beemer: Yeah, he's definitely into her. Seeing her with everybody against her and the Forresters saying that she's this, this and this, Owen has had a chance to get to know her a little bit. What he has gotten to know, he really likes. It wasn't what he was expecting.

Weekly: What about Felicia? Is she a romantic option at all?
Beemer: I don’t know. I don't want to get in trouble [by saying anything]!

Weekly: Well, no, we wouldn't want that.
Beemer: I'm new here. I can still get canned! (laughs) Let's just say that it gets very interesting. There's a lot to be said and a lot to see.

Weekly: And a lot of emotional stuff riding on the line for Owen...
Beemer: ...which he wasn't expecting.

Weekly: He just came to town to shake down Marcus.
Beemer: Yeah. He was curious: "What is it with these Forresters? What's going on? I want to go check this out."

Weekly: Now he's elbow-deep in Forrester drama.
Beemer: Yeah. That's how he does it! His life needs to be exciting.

Weekly: People are definitely excited about the possibilities he brings to the show and the storyline this summer.
Beemer: There will be more to report when we come back [from hiatus]. There's lots more good stuff. I'm actually asking, whenever I can, for the outlines, to find out what's going to happen next. Every time I get a script, the first thing I do is come up to my room and read it. Thank you, writers! Hopefully we can keep it up, and hopefully we'll get a good response from the audience — and good ratings.
