On January 23, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL viewers heard snippets of "Going Back Again," a tune, so the story goes, that a lovesick Nick penned for Brooke. "He's written a little bit of this song for her and she discovered the lyrics, so that's how all of this unfolds," explains Jack Wagner (Nick). The audience then heard the whole tune on January 29 as background music for a fantasy sequence involving Nick and Brooke (which was taped during a location shoot in Marina Del Rey, CA). "It's Nick thinking about what a future might be like for him and Brooke," says Wagner. Now, Wagner as Nick (backed by a full band) will perform the song in its entirety at Chuck's bar on February 10 as a surprise for Brooke.

Wagner, who enjoyed a pop music career in the '80s, wrote "Going Back Again" with Jeff Pesceto. "I've done a lot of music for television before," Wagner smiles, "and it seemed to be one of those things that came together nicely in terms of what was going on with the show and where Nick and Brooke were heading with the relationship."
