GH's Olivia and Johnny Hit the Spot

Olivia finding herself drawn back into Sonny's orbit could put the kibosh on the Johnny/Olivia relationship. Lisa LoCicero explains how she and Brandon Barash caught lightning in a bottle. Or at least wrapped it up in a tie.

Soap Opera Weekly: Olivia and Johnny really seem to click together.
Lisa LoCicero: Yeah, it's really great that people seem to be responding to the two of them together. I think it's because Brandon and I have the same idea of what makes a love scene work, and he's very easy to work with. And I try to be easy to work with, as well.
Weekly: How difficult is it to work out those hot love scenes?
LoCicero: In my experience the male half of the couple is usually the more uncomfortable initially, so I always go out of my way to make the fella feel as comfortable as possible. I guess when you're both comfortable, it's easy.
Weekly: It would be easy to forget about Olivia and Sonny — keep Johnny and Olivia....
LoCicero: Well, I think that may be what the writers are dealing with right now — a surprise in the response to the two of them. They may want to capitalize on that.
Weekly: The sexual chemistry is off the charts, like when she blindfolded him.
LoCicero: That whole blindfold thing was a surprise. We showed up for work that morning and there were extra pink pages; if you paid attention, you noticed that those scenes weren't about anything plot-related. It was just an excuse to get the two of them together, which was great. Sometimes, that's where the most interesting character work can come from, when it's not dealing with getting from Point A to Point B. It's just these two people interacting over not a whole lot — which is really what constitutes most of the real world. She had just come home in the afternoon, and he stops in, and then one thing leads to another. We tried to add some extra element, which was where the blindfold thing came from. We were just cracking each other up, honestly. We were having a good time and having fun with the whole thing.
Weekly: It did feel organic to the characters.
LoCicero: Yeah [laughs]. We laughed a lot that day.

As an older women, I think the love scene between Olivia and Johnny makes the show. Sonny looks like he can't make up his mind about anyone. Olivia is my kind of person who is independant and goes for what she wants. I think her and Johnny should enjoy each other and see what happens.

I think Olivia and Johnny are DYNAMITE! How clever of the writers to put them together. I think what started as a one-night stand has now turned into a RED HOT team. Let's keep it going. Let's face it, this is the day of the "older woman-younger man," for instance: Demi Moore and Ashton Kutchner. It sure seems to work for them!

i like johnny n olivia but sonny is the reason i have watched the show for 15 yrs he's yummy yummy yummy give me more of him ne time and if that means pairing up with olivia by all means do it lol. i kind of like johnny n maxie
I really thought that I would hate Olivia and Johnny together, but I was so wrong. They are soooo good together. Their chemistry is amazing and they connect on so many levels. They accept each other for who they each are and have a wonderful comfort level together. They've actually become one of my favorite couples.

Love the chemistry of both of you. You really make the scenes believable. Great job to both!! Brandon has so much depth as an actor. I hope that they will keep the Johnny & Olivia storyline going. Thanks for the great scenes!!
I hope the writer keep it is going on b/c it base on a true a history {love part)regarding a friend of mine. gH is bery fan to watch this day. I love them. it always a pleasure to watch their chemistry together.
I like Johnny & Olivia together. The actors have great chemistry. I like them together so much better than Johnny & Lulu. Lulu was very immature for him and they were boring together. J& O are smokin' together. And a great looking couple too!!!!!!!!!!
KHJ, in real life "Olivia" is only 9 years older than "Johnny" and "Dante". So how can she be an old fart but not Johnny and Dante? Seriously, lol. I hope Jolivia survive Olivia's fickleness and that Olivia finally gets over her long time feelings over some man who was absent for nearly her whole life. Sonny definitely forgot about her as he was with his countless loves of his life including Kate who somehow no longer registers and is mentally screwed up if she going to push Sonny into Olivia's arm. I thought Kate cared about Olivia's longevity - knowing she and Michael and countless others got shot or killed because of mob boss Sonny. I guess she only want to see Olivia 6 feet under soon. Some cousin. Olivia has a better chance with Johnny in longevity, plus Johnny is devoted to her and makes her happier than she could ever dream that Sonny can.
