1992
A.J. was caught driving drunk. Monica found her first love, David Langton. Tracy learned she was pregnant. Jenny, Paul's love, married Ned. David died on Monica's operating table, and his daughter, Nikki, sued Monica and the hospital for her father's wrongful death, but lost the case. A.J. dated Nikki. Ned and Julia bought the Port Charles Hotel. Tracy gave birth to a son, Dillon. Jason and his friends Karen and Jagger were stranded on an island. A.J. found the missing teens, earning Alan's respect. Alan paid off Nikki, who broke her engagement to A.J. Paul broke up with Tracy to be with Jenny. Ned started dating Julia.

1993
Ned blackmailed Paul into relinquishing his ELQ shares and exposed Jenny's sordid past to the press. Karen left Jason for Jagger. Tracy framed Paul. Jenny made Tracy drop the charges against Paul and Edward banished Tracy from Port Charles for the second time. Tracy left and took Dillon with her to an unknown location. Monica won Alan back by making him jealous of an imaginary lover. Julia's sister, Brenda, moved into the mansion. Ned met Lois Cerullo while posing as the rock star Eddie Maine. A.J. and Monica learned that Alan killed Ray Conway.

1994
Ned had a double life: performing as rock star Eddie Maine in Buffalo and working as CEO of ELQ in Port Charles. Katherine used the evidence against Alan to force Ned to marry her. Ned eloped with Lois before marrying Katherine. Jason protested his family's racist policies. Monica learned she had breast cancer and had a mastectomy. Ned tried to divorce Katherine, but Lois discovered his deception first, ending both marriages. Edward was tried for Bradley Ward's murder. Mary Mae, Bradley's mother, revealed that he was Edward's illegitimate son and that Justus was Edward's grandson.

1995
Edward set up a foundation for new business in a poor neighborhood with Justus, Jason and A.J. Monica continued with chemotherapy, but her illness put a rift between her and Alan. Monica's friend Paige died and the Quartermaines adopted her daughter, Emily. Jason and Keesha Ward lost their virginity to each other. Ned and Lois reconciled and were married in Brooklyn. Justus started dating Dr. Simone Hardy. Monica set up a cancer clinic.

1996
Mary Mae died. Lois became pregnant with Ned's child. Alan and Monica reunited. A drunk A.J. got in a car accident in which Jason suffered brain damage. Jason rejected his family, changed his last name to Morgan, and joined Sonny Corinthos' mob. Tracy returned to Port Charles but was rejected by her family. Jason dated his HIV-positive friend Robin Scorpio.
