In a recent interview with Soap Opera Weekly, GUIDING LIGHT's Robert Newman (Josh) mentioned that he hopes his character takes it easy as a single stud before jumping back into another relationship. That would be a first, since Josh has a long history of being quite the playboy. See if you can match his old flames to their descriptions.

1981 — I was one of the first people Josh dated when he moved to Springfield. I had an incredible imagination and often had elaborate fantasies. I guess you could call me a dream girl.

1981 — I was a hairdresser. Some would say I'm a little ditsy, but there must have been something Josh liked about me. Too bad he dated me and my best friend.

1981 — When Josh was young and running around Springfield chasing skirts, I like to think I was the one he really wanted. After all, he came after me, even though I was already engaged.

1989-1990, 1999-2000, 2002-2007 — I am and will always be the one true love of Josh's life. Even though I'm married to someone else, and he was married to my sister, Josh still holds a special place in my heart.

1993-1994 — I met Josh in Italy, and we had a secret romance. After he moved back to Springfield, I showed up to surprise him, but while in town I was kidnapped and almost burned alive in a lighthouse. I had to confess why I'd gotten into so much trouble: I'd witnessed a murder and stolen $500,000.

1981-1983 — Josh was managing my modeling career and decided to mix business with pleasure. I was married at the time, but when my husband and I began having problems, Josh used it to his advantage to woo me into an affair. I later divorced my husband, and Josh and I dated, but broke up when my modeling career took too much of my time.

2007-2008 — I loved Josh and married him, but we were doomed from the start. Not only was he still in love with my sister, but dealing with my psycho son put a real damper on our relationship. I had an affair, and we tried counseling, but in the end it just didn't work.

1982 — I was a nurse to Josh's dad, and the girlfriend of one of his close friends. When he learned I worked as a stripper and a prostitute named "Candy" to pay my way through nursing school, he blackmailed me into getting involved with him.

1990-1991 — I was Marah and Shayne's nanny, and Josh and I fell in love after Reva was presumed dead. We got engaged, but when Billy discovered Reva was still alive, Josh went off to find her and wrote me a letter ending our engagement.

1982 — Even though I was married, I went after Josh. We had an affair, and my husband caught us in bed. I said I didn't know why I was there, but he didn't believe me. We all later learned that I wasn't lying and was suffering from split personalities.

2000-2001 — Josh rescued me from committing suicide, and we swiftly became friends and lovers. We married despite Reva's efforts to stop us, but I later began sleeping with Alan, so Josh and I went our separate ways.

I think that him and Reva should make it work.It shouldn't be Josh with any other women she is pregant for him.
Josh was also married to Soni/Solita something like that they were twin sisters or at least sisters that switched places. And then there was that psycho that had short blonde hair, I think she was committed or something. But I think Reva and Josh belong together and I wish they would get together and stay that way period, I am tired of them being yoyo's.

To correct poster Brenda: Soni (who was played by the memorable Michelle Forbes) and Solita were twin sisters, but Josh was only married to Soni. Solita was already long since dead when Josh met and married Soni in Venezuela. Solita had been killed when she and Soni were much younger by their abusive father, because Soni had done something bad (partying with a young Will Jeffries, as I recall) and let Solita take the blame for it. Soni would develop a multiple personality disorder out of Solita's death (with the other personality being Solita; although apparently she was cured of this before the character both divorced Josh and left the show in November 1989). That means Josh had two relationships with women who had multiple personality disorders (Carrie Todd Marler and Soni Carrera). Robert Newman as Josh also was paired with two actresses (Forbes who played Soni and later Cynthia Watros who played Annie Dutton) who would go on to appear on ABC's "Lost"!
