Eighteen-year-old Alan-Michael returned to town by parachuting into the 1987 Bauer barbecue. He was jealous of Alan's relationship with Phillip. 1991:
Alan-Michael learned that Roger had stolen money from Spaulding. When he recovered the cash, he nominated himself to be president of the company. Vanessa wound up as president instead, due to Alan-Michael's scheming with ex-wife Blake. Later that year, he fell in love with Eleni Andros (Melina Kanakaredes) and tried to win her over, resorting to setting up Frank with a prostitute so that Eleni would get over Cooper. When Eleni wasn't allowed into the country after a trip to France, Alan-Michael persuaded her to marry him.

1992:
Eleni and Alan-Michael remarried in a traditional wedding in Greece. He continued to scheme against Vanessa and took responsibility for a division of Spaulding. When the prostitute he had paid to set up Frank (Frank Dicopoulos) appeared in town, he hired a man named Pierre to get rid of her. Pierre planted a bomb in Towers, which seriously injured Mallet. He took Eleni away to convince her that he had nothing to do with the bomb. During their trip, he switched her birth control pills with placebos. She later became pregnant and admitted to him that she knew all about his schemes.
