Michael Dietz assumed the role briefly in 1996, and ushered A-M out of town with Lucy (Sonia Satra) in 1997.

1990: Beverlee McKinsey
— Brad Berman





The role of Alexandra was created for daytime legend Beverlee McKinsey in 1984. She wreaked havoc — and spread some good — in Springfield until 1992.

1993: Marj Dusay
— E.J. Carr





Another daytime star, Marj Dusay, assumed the part and played the baroness from 1993 until '97, and again from 1998-99.

2002: Ron Raines and Joan Collins
— Walter Thomson





Soap diva Joan Collins's run in 2002 as Alex was cut short due to a scheduling misunderstanding. Dusay returned in 2002 and has remained ever since.
