1994
David Vickers showed up at Dorian's trial for the murder of Victor Lord and claimed to be Victor's son by Irene Clayton. To prove it, he brought forward Irene's diary, in which she confessed to killing Victor herself. Dorian was exonerated. But the diary was really a forgery and David was a fraud. Dorian had paid David $50,000 to lie! Tina returned to Llanview, and things heated up between her and David. Unfortunately, David was still pretending to be Victor's son — and her brother. One night, Tina and David were swept away by passion and made love. Tina was understandably disgusted, but David confessed that they weren't related after all. They were later married in a secret ceremony.

1995
When Viki realized that Dorian must be her father's killer, Dorian threatened to expose Viki's secret — that Viki had been sexually abused by her father — and Viki splintered into several different personalities, including Jean Randolph. Jean pressured David to divorce Tina, and he had to lie and tell Tina that he had never loved her. David and Dorian then got married so they wouldn't have to testify against each other. Meanwhile, Dorian's niece Kelly developed a crush on David and was determined to lose her virginity to him. But just as they were about to make love, Dorian burst into the room with a photographer, setting up David to look like an adulterer, so he couldn't get his hands on a penny in their divorce settlement.

1996
Kelly, still a virgin, tried to get Joey Buchanan to make love to her, but he refused. After Kelly caught Joey with Dorian, she fell back into David's arms. David tried so hard to seduce Kelly that she was forced to hit him over the head with a lamp. Kelly was sure that she had killed him, but David later returned from the dead and kidnapped Kelly. Kelly was rescued, but not before David escaped.
