Jabot Cosmetics

John Abbott (Jerry Douglas)
— Brian Lowe/JPI

John Abbott: John is the founder of Jabot Cosmetics. Over the years, he's had many health issues, mainly due to the stress of dealing with the company's problems. He even left for New York when Jabot was taken over by Newman because he couldn't handle it. John eventually returned and ran the firm with his son, Jack, who made the flailing company a subsidiary of Chancellor Industries.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)
— Brian Lowe/JPI

Jack Abbott: Jack began his career at Jabot mainly romancing the models, and worked his way up to CEO (basically everyone over at Jabot has held this position at one time). For years, he fought Victor for control of the company. When Jack made Jabot "go public," Victor was able to implement a takeover. Jack and Brad twice tried to take over Newman while Victor was out of town (and presumed dead). They almost succeeded in 1998, but when a cocky Jack tried to make a deal with Victor, The Moustache tricked him. After Victor was in trouble for the bribery scandal, he made a deal with Jabot to keep from going to prison: he'd settle for $75 million if Jack would quit Jabot for good. John, who was forced to choose between his son and his company, reluctantly accepted, and a furious Jack resigned. Ashley became temporary CEO. After several months of unemployment and tennis playing, Jack got back in the game when Katherine named him CEO of Chancellor Industries. His first order of business was to make Jabot a subsidiary of that corporation, thus protecting it from Newman. He then named Jill as CEO over Brad, prompting him to quit.

Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)
— Brian Lowe/JPI

Ashley Abbott: Ashley began working for her dad's company as a chemist, and eventually became temporary CEO. During that time, Ashley irked Jack when she had Victor come aboard as a consultant to slash Jabot's budget to help the struggling firm to stay afloat. Eventually, Ash returned to where she's happiest — the lab.

Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton)
— Brian Lowe/JPI

Jill Foster Abbott: John's ex-wife won a quarter of Jabot and an executive position in their divorce settlement. Turns out, she was actually good at her job and stayed on as an executive in charge of the men's line. After Ashley vacated the CEO position, Jack offered the job to Victoria. When she hesitated, he put Jill in charge. Ironically, Victoria changed her mind, but by then, Jill had set up shop and it was too late.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)
— Brian Lowe/JPI

Phyllis Summers: When Phyllis returned to G.C. in 2000, she put together the "Glow By Jabot" Web site. Then when Jack didn't renew her contract, she went over to Newman to work on their site. She stayed with Newman for several years (despite her romantic involvement with Jack), but quit in 2005 when her son. Daniel, was on trial for driving drunk in the accident that killed Nick's daughter, Cassie. (Daniel got off when the truth came out that Cassie had been the driver.) Phyllis and Jack reunited, and she returned to Jabot, although she and Nick made amends, and she helped fix the Newman Web site. Jack urged her to sabotage it. Instead, Phyllis created (and then removed) a porthole that would give Jabot access to it.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)
— Aaron Montgomery/JPI

Nikki Newman: Victor's on-again/off-again/on-again wife hasn't been as involved in Newman as her kids have, and has also had romances with her husband's rivals Jack (whom she married) and Brad (whom she left at the altar). Nikki landed herself a seat on the Jabot board when she gave them $35 million to bail out their sinking company (which, needless to say, irked Victor).

Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper)
— Brian Lowe/JPI

Katherine Chancellor: Kay is the head of Chancellor Industries, which now owns Jabot Cosmetics. She infuriated her daughter, Jill, when she chose Jack to run C.I. instead of her own flesh and blood.
