Amelia Heinle's son pressured her into acting classes when he was a tiny tyke, but THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS star hopes he won't follow in the family footsteps.

"When August was little, he'd make me play with Star Wars action figures with him for hours," Heinle recalls. "I would rather play with action figures than Barbies, but I still hated it so much. If I didn't do it right, he'd get disappointed, so I had to do it up. For hours!"

Luckily for her, August's tastes have changed since he hit double digits. "These days, we goof around in the yard and throw some balls around, but we don't 'play,'" Heinle explains. She's glad to see August isn't looking to make play-acting into a career like her and his father, Michael Weatherly (Anthony DiNozzo, NCIS).

"A couple of years ago, August said he was going to be an actor," Heinle shudders. "We turned that around quick! I don't want him to be an actor, because look at us: We're a bunch of freaks!"

Heinle's joking, but she does have a real reason for wanting him to stay off the stage. "Acting is a tough business, and very few of us actually have the opportunity to make a decent living. It's fickle and funny, and I don't want him going through that heartache," she says. "He'll go through heartache for other things, but he'll have a more interesting life if he uses his brain. He's a super-bright kid and I believe he could have a longer, better career. Right now, he wants to be a police officer."

Of course, that could change tomorrow. He's not even a teenager yet!
