YOUNG AND RESTLESS Timeline

Nice Piece of Harass: Chris found a new foe in her boss, Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc).
— CBS

Chris and Danny

1992: Chris's new boss, attorney Michael Baldwin, sexually harassed the up-n-coming legal eagle, and she slapped him with a lawsuit. In retaliation, Michael staged it to appear that Danny was having an affair.

1993: During his trial, Michael suggested Chris and Danny were experiencing marital difficulties. Eventually, Michael was found guilty. He broke Chris's apartment and attacked her. Paul came to the rescue, and Michael went to jail. Meanwhile, Danny left town to star in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Broadway, which opened the door for Chris and Paul to grow closer.

The New Guy: After being dumped by Danny, Chris found comfort with Paul (Doug Davidson).
— CBS

1994: Danny sent Christine a "Dear Cricket" letter from New York, announcing that he wanted a divorce. Heartbroken, she honored Danny's request. Eventually, Christine learned that Danny had gotten another woman, Phyllis, pregnant. Before their son, Daniel, was born, Danny and Phyllis married and moved to Genoa City. Meanwhile, Paul and Chris teamed up to help his ex-wife, April, who was accused of killing her abusive husband, Robert. Chris won April a suspended sentence. Paul proposed to Christine, but she resisted because she was still trying to accept the news about Danny's marriage.

The New Gal: Danny's wife Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) took an immediate dislike to his ex-wife.
— Eddie Garcia

1995: Chris agreed to marry Paul, but she and Danny shared a tender kiss on the day before her wedding. Whoops! Phyllis saw them and, determined to keep Chris away from Danny, ran them down on their wedding day. Paul was left impotent and canceled the nups without explanation. Chris gathered dirt on Phyllis so Danny could get a divorce and custody of his son. To keep Chris off her case, Phyllis altered Daniel's blood tests so that it looked as if Danny really was his dad.

Wedded Bliss: Despite Phyllis's interference, Chris and Paul finally wed.
— CBS

1996: Danny told Phyllis he was divorcing her, but the judge postponed making a decision until Phyllis and Danny sought marriage counseling. Phyllis slept with their counselor, Dr. Tim Reid, and blackmailed him into testifying on her behalf. He later recanted, and Phyllis accepted the inevitable. Then, when Daniel became seriously ill, Phyllis and Danny became closer. Meanwhile, Paul and Chris made plans to marry. On the day before the ceremony, Chris made love to Danny. Whoops! Paul discovered them in bed and canceled the wedding. Chris made it clear to Danny that she was no longer in love with him. Chris and Paul reconciled and married. Their Caribbean honeymoon, however, was nearly marred by Phyllis's surprise appearance.

Divorce Court: After Danny learned of Phyllis's trickery, he filed for divorce.
— John Paschal/JPI

1997: On New Year's Eve, Danny proposed to Phyllis; she accepted. Phyllis's former pal from New York, Sasha, came to town and demanded money, or she'd expose the truth about Phyllis's blood test switch. Chris met Sasha and immediately grew suspicious, but Sasha was killed in a fire. Chris and Paul were able to plant enough doubt in Danny's mind that he got a second set of blood tests. The paternity tests revealed he wasn't Daniel's father. Danny made plans to divorce Phyllis but also sought custody of Daniel. Chris agreed to represent him. Michael Baldwin was paroled, and he and Phyllis became involved. Chris and Paul learned that Brian Hamilton was really Daniel's father, and he agreed to testify on Danny's behalf. The evidence against Phyllis prompted Danny to realize she drugged him and they had never made love while he was still married to Chris. When Danny broke the news, Chris broke down in tears.

Brother, Can You Spare A Kidney? Michael became an unlikely savior when he donated a kidney to save Danny's life.
— Aaron Montgomery/JPI

1998: The judge awarded custody of Daniel to Danny. Later, Danny admitted to Chris that he still loved her. Then, Danny was mugged and seriously injured. To save Danny's life, Michael donated a kidney. After Danny's recovery, Chris told him she was still in love with her husband. Danny left town with Daniel on an extended concert tour.

Starting Here, Starting Now? Chris and Danny rekindled the flame, but will their love last?
— Aaron Montgomery/JPI

2003/2004: After a fire devastated Gina's Place, Danny came back to town to comfort his sister. Chris revealed to Danny that she and Paul were estranged. He and "Cricket" (which he still called her) grew closer, while Paul began seeing his ex-wife, Lauren. Danny and Chris eventually made love, but Danny was fearful that once Chris discovered his singing career was over, she'd dump him.
