YOUNG AND RESTLESS's Memorable Ghost Stories

Having Her Phil, 2004
After recovering alcoholic Katherine learned that her decades-long sparring partner, Jill, is actually her daughter, Kay was again driven to drink. While soused on the sauce, she was visited by the ghosts of her deceased ex-hubby Rex, and late grandson Phillip III, who urged her to get the help she needed. When Kay sobered up, she went to rehab.

Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)
— Aaron Montgomery/JPI

Sheila Devil, 2005
Poor Lauren was a victim of longtime rival Sheila again when a disguised Ms. Carter (a.k.a. Brenda, a.k.a. Jennifer) wormed her way back into G.C. by signing on as the "writing partner" of Lauren's son, Scott. Lauren finally came face-to-face with her when Sheila drugged her and taunted her in a rooftop confrontation. In her addled state, Lauren saw her food turn into a platter of snakes and heard Sheila speaking in an otherwordly voice. Good thing Michael arrived just in time to prevent his then-fiancée from diving off the roof.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Cassie (Camryn Grimes)
— Aaron Montgomery/JPI

Cassie The Friendly Ghost, 2006
On the anniversary of Cassie's death, Nick, still reeling from his affair with Phyllis and separation from wife Sharon, was visited by his late daughter's spirit. In an It's A Wonderful Life-inspired sequence, Cassie showed Nick what life might have been like had she not died. Among his visions, he and Sharon were still together and parents to a newborn, while Jack and Phyllis were engaged. Nick was so moved by the experience that he asked his estranged wife if he could come home. She agreed for son Noah's sake.

Hope (Beth Toussaint)
— Aaron Montgomery/JPI

Hope-Ful Vision, 2006
After suddenly changing his behavior and becoming Mr. Nice Guy, Victor began having strange visions of a woman bathed in golden light. Turns out that it was his ex-wife Hope, whom he believed was appearing to him — and it was also revealed that Newman was suffering from temporal lobe epilepsy.
