I have been watching Days 33 years and for some reason you are forgetting the important people on this show. John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Steve, Kayla, Lexie, Abe, Dimeras, Victor, Carolyn. NOW here is a story line for you. Victor and Carolyn long time in love, finally can be together and nothing has been done with that why? Bo and Hope to have another baby, Marlena should be having another baby too. Steve and Kayla should be throwing parties for their new baby. So much. Put EJ and Sami together, Kate with Dimera, Lucas with Chole, Brady with Nicole, Phillip with Melanie, Daniel with Chelesa. Hello, have you all gone mad. I miss the Bo, Hope, John, Steve, Kayla, Marlena mystery stories. And Sami should be having another set of twins. WAKE UP!

The story lines have gotten so silly - young kids all sleeping together, Nicole with the fake stomach takes the cake. I don't think Days will be on much longer.

They are not pulling in the younger crowd with this because my 20 year old daughter doesn't like the young crowd. They have stupid stories, Melanie the party girl and she isn't 18, Chelsea no experience but suddenly working in the hospital, Nick on drugs and in jail, Max a genius one minute and not the next, Stephanie loves Max one minute and is chasing Phil now. A total farce. In the meantime Bo and Hope are made dumber all the time, Roman is a non person any more, Kate falls for Daniel who falls for anyone that is his patient, Steve and Kayla are rarely heard from and where the heck are Anna and Tony. Days better wake up - or are they deliberately sabotaging the show?

Posted Fri Dec12, 2008, 10:04 AM — By Lovely I too have been a fan of Days for many many moons, since around 1983 and the one thing that has always stood out about Days was/is their ability to create great super couples and interesting unique storylines. I remember getting soo excited to see Days win the soap opera awards year after year and watching them air episodes at night like The Cruise of Deception storyline. :) That's why I was sad to hear and see the fall of such a great show. I have noticed over the years the show has lost it's spunk, it's slipped away from it's core of creating dynamic super couples and interesting storylines and started following trends and and trying to shake things up a bit by splitting people up and putting them with others who they have no chemistry with. I'm all for a great shake now and then, but let's not forget what made the show great to begin with... LOVE! It gave hopeless romantics like me something to look forward to seeing those adorable super couples overcome adversity...

Posted Fri Dec12, 2008, 10:24 AM — By Lovely ...it is sad to see John and Marlena go, just like it was sad to see Jack and Jennifer leave as many other super couples have done in the past, but hopefully with the renewal at NBC the show will have a few years to get it's act together and get things moving in a better direction. I will remain a loyal fan to the very end which I hope is not near, but a few things I need to speak on... Why are Sami and Lucas not together? They are an obvious super couple in the making with amazing chemistry, probably bc they are such great friends off screen as well. I know a lot of fans are over the moon about Sami and EJ being together but it just doesn't sit right with me considering that EJ raped Sami and Sami being a previous rape victem should not have forgiven him so easily, nor should she be with him. I am not saying he can never be forgiven (Jack raped Kayla and she forgave him) but it took years and she only recently began to be comfortable around him, but she never stayed with him!...

And yes Lucas and Chloe are cute together but heck Chloe is cute with just about any guy honestly, I mean that chick sizzles chemistry with almost all of the male characters so they can find her a new love easy! As for Nicole and EJ I actually think that was a good pair, they compliment one another and it was kinda fun watching them get lovey dovey and cozy with the idea of having a baby together even though it was fleeting. Ok so I will try to sum the rest of this up... Stefeno's comeback has is great as always, focus on the Dimera's bc they always keep things interesting... get rid of the irritating newbies like Melanie, sorry but she is just not cutting it, and way too much over acting. Bring back some old favs, even if just for a little while. Focus on the super couples that made everyone fall in love with the show to begin with and create a dynamic and exciting storyline that brings them all together, basically get back to the roots of the show.

If not then they could just start airing old episodes which would probably be better then where it's at now, sad but true. Oh and one more thing... Where is Mrs. Horton? And has Carolyn vanished as well?

He made it so stupid that any new writer who comes on board thinks Reilly's way is best! NOT!!!!!! I'm glad Reilly is dead. Now he won't have any say as to what goes on with the show. BUT, the new writers better wise up. Producers of the show are also sabotaging it. I agree with Lovely who said the writers should watch old episodes to get a feel of what a good show is. Get real writers & producers! I hate reality shows on TV. I have enough reality in my life. I need a little fantasy. Let DOOL continue to give me my fantasy. I want John to have his memory restored & get back with Marlena. They belong together! Sami & Lucas? Nah. I want Kate to leave the show. She is so stupid. She always wanted Billie & Bo to be together because of the baby (Chelsea), but she didn't give a thought to the fact that Bo already had children with Hope.

As soon as Marlena and John are no longer on the show will be the day that I quit watching. TPTB are ruining the show. Please bring back stories about adult love and give the audience what they really want. I was so disappointed when Jack and Jen left, once in awhile we see Doug and Julie. Alice Horton is missed so much but I understand with her health but we still miss seeing her, now we don't even hear Tom Horton announce the show. Writers & producers, please have heart and listen to the viewers.............Merry Christmas............

Salem's couples who work together to solve a great mystery with red herrings, intrigue, and danger. The writers could have sleuths working separately with inevitable collaboration. Show me that the couples really do mean it when they say they love each other. Find chemistry pairing that works and stick with it for a while. Divorce happens too often in real life. I want to see the love story prevail over obstacles in fiction. Show me integrity. I agree with other posts. Staff writers need to sit down and review old episodes and find the magic again. I've been watching since the soap started and I don't understand why the writers are all on a fast track to nowhere. Here's to hoping the current writers find tantalizing inspiration in the new year!

Posted Fri Dec19, 2008, 6:14 PM — By Linda P While I agree with so much of the sentiment already posted, I also acknowledge that although John and Marlena have been an integral part of Dool forever, for better or for worse, the show has begun to focus on the younger characters, I, too, have watched Dool since Kim and Doug were together, since Robert Clary played Robert LeClare. Everything has become pretty cliche: for instance, Melanie is supposed to get all this money so she's being a pain. That will turn out one of two ways. Either she'll have to eat a ton of crow when the whole thing falls through, or she'll be rich and manipulatable. *sigh* I guess it all comes down to the writers, and like everything else, it's probably a matter of "you get what you pay for." Days, I do wish you well.

What a waste of money and air time that is spent on them. Their characters are all shallow, egotist, and bed-hopping nobodies. This show isn't really Days anymore. I really miss the old Days.

Not used to seeing the "old" crowd couldn't care if John and Marlena left. Bo/Hope play dumb cops to perfection. Melanie= nails on a chalkboard. philip/stephanie (i like) she'll be good for him. max and chelsea whiny and both annoying, wouldn't miss. Theo= love the austism angle (my daughter) so really relate to Lexie. Hate nicole, hope she gets caught. Reformed Brady would be good for her. Ej is walking a thin good/evil line. Sami is a spoiled brat and needs a spanking. daniel should go to jail as a sex offender. Kate should sucomb to her cancer, that parts a real bore too. I called that Nick was the killer like 3 weeks before the reveal. A month ago i told my mom that I thought some how Nicole was going to get sami's baby. (the cramps) Obvious.

I see in the previews that she is pointing a gun at the Doctor who care for her when she miscarried. What is with Daniel, he gets the hots for first Chelsea, then Kate and now he is sniffing around Chloe. Can't the man make up his mind...Give us a break. I think that the FBI agent is starting to have feelings for Sami. Wouldn't it be something IF she agrees to marry him and clain the baby is his. That would suit EJ right for this total screw up with Nicole. She wouldn't know real love IF it bit her on her ass. Come one IF John and Marlena are leaving let him regain his memory and have them go off together. IF the network won't keep DOOL going let the Soap channel pick them up. I have been watching since the beginning. While I was working I lost track of the show, but thanks to the TIVO I never miss a day. I don't watch any of the rest of the soaps. Marlena and john will be dearly missed but it was getting old them dying and coming back so many times now its time to make the younger crowed in to the misteries.I want daniel and chloe to have this hot steamy romance that can not be helped.I think the fbi should claim the baby is his. That would be the man he already seems to be.He is hot i loved him when he played on passions. I have always loved sammy even when she was braty. Brady deserves better than nicole. She seemed like she was going to change but did not. Maybe brady and the new theripist. I like steph and phillip. It seems more hot than sweet. Carrie and alstun had some very steamy moments and fought for thier love. That kept me hooked then. Even with jack, jenn, and eve. I can tell you what's going to end up happening with Samantha's baby, she'll end up giving it to the orphanage, and somehow Nicole will end up adopting it, and E.J. will end up with his own child anyway. That's unless Samantha and Rafe get together, which I would like to see happen. I cannot understand how they can take Marlena and John off the show. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS DOOL! You don't know what you have until it's gone. They are two people who have helped make that show what it is today.

Sure hope it doesnt turn into another Passions. Never seen a dumber show than that. Keep Marlena and John and Steve and Kayla, I dont think there has been a different story line for a month now. Gets tiredsome watching the same old thing over and over. You can guess on your own what is going to happen. Get Johns memory (which was very stupid to begin with) back and get him and marlena back together.Keep the other actors and actresses on the show. The regulars!!!!!!

The story lines are pathetic. There is absolutley nothing to keep you on the edge anymore or any Love stories that mean anything. Here is a suggestion. How about we let the actors who have been on the show and know what it has been thru the years and why we watched if faithfully write the stories!!! Anything is better than what we have to watch. I know it is too late for John and Marlena (good bye dear friends) but you still have Steve and Kayla, Bo and Hope and lets not forget Tony and Anya who have an impact on the show COME ALIVE AGAIN. I hope you writers read these blogs and finally get some insight to what the fans are looking for. Yes, the way it used to be and we all couldn't wait to see the nest show. okay everyone I hope all our little insights are being read by the ones who can "MAKE A CHANGE"

It is a soap opera maybe the doctor took the baby and told her she lost it. I know the baby could not live but it is a soap opera after all look at Billie. 2. Daniel needs to make up his mind. 3. John and Marlena: the ratings will go down even more now. 4. Melanie needs to go. I can't stand that smirky smile. 5. Stephanie and Phillip. Max and Chelsea. Roman and Kate or Kate and Victor. 6. Some story lines are so predictable you know what will happen before they even happen. I don't know how many times I predicted what will happen before it happened. 7. Sami and Lucas the next super couple of DAYS. They always find their way back. Maybe the baby is his. She drugged him or seduced him or something like that after he caught her in bed with EJ and audience didn't see it. Maybe when they spilled their feelings in the bedroom. It is a soap opera

The story lines have become soooo predicable. I do miss the older people and story line like Victor and Caroline why did they just drop it?? Then Kayla and Steve were are they in and out. This Christmas was even very good. They usually do a big blow out but not this year I knoe money is hard to come by but you will start losing alot of people watching is something isnt done soon. I forone will be one. Im so tired of EJ and Nicole and Dr. and Chole. But I do like the Sami and Rafe story line. If they could just add Lucas in with it more It would be better. Days writing staff need to listen to the public more.

The show fired the GREATEST stars of the show and the story lines keep getting so out of sync with the show. The christmas with out Alice and other stars there was also crazy. I have been watching Days Of Our Lives since I was 10. My mother would record it while we were at school and she was at work. When we all got home we would tune in and watch the show as a family. I grew up with many of the charactors on this show. I am just disappointed with the show and not for sure if I could continue watching. I remember when you could miss a couple of days and tune back in and get caught up as if you never missed any episodes. Now days you miss one episodes you miss 6 months of the show. I just wish they would bring back some of the good actors like EJ's Mother and her twin sister. Those days were the best. I hope things get better and the story lines get better!

I think what's going to happen to Samis baby.Is Nicole will find him or her at the orphanage and will adopt the baby. And when she has the baby tested it come's out to be EJ"s. Because Mia's in labor early and Nicole's not there, and cant be there for the labor at the hospital.

Get back to the old characters, the "Magic of Days". I've been watching this show since 1967 and it's gotten so stupid over the last few years, I can't even believe I still watch. The Melanie character is probably the worst actress I've seen in 40 years of watching. Bring back Jack and Jen; give us more of Steve and Kayla; more from Bo and Hope; and whatever you do, DON'T take off John and Marlena. That would be the biggest mistake you've ever made. You've got alot of faithful viewers of Days. You better wake up and listen to what we're telling you or you won't have to worry about it because it won't be worth watching too much longer.

The way Marlena + John were shuffled off in ONE DAY was hideous writing and proved that the producer hates both! Chloe couldn't act her way out of a paper bag.And if I watch her bed hop with Daniel once more, I'll throw up. Acting non-existent for: Chelsea, Stephanie, Melanie, and all the other bimbettes they've loaded the show with; add Brady Black, Mr. No Expression to the bunch. I've just about stopped watching altogether now that John/Marlena are gone. I love Maggie, but why not use the new Mickey more...he'd be great! Can't stand Nicole with ANYBODY! Her getting Sami's baby was Sooo predictable I could write for this show better than whoever is doing it now. Rafe is a good match for Sami. I am so disappointed in this show now that I wish if you are not going to back to the days when it was a good show then please let in die with dignity. How could you do the things you are doing to this show? Melanie???? Really? Nicole and E.J.??? Really. Now what about Sami? I like her with Rafe so what now? Daniel sleeps with anything that walks. What about Victor and Carolyn? Please put the show back on the right track with dignity.

You have taken off all the prfessional actors (All our Favorites) and replaced the with new people. Evidently you have cut your budget, but by doing so, you have have lost your show. Unless some drastic changes are made to return John &, Jack & Jen, Doug & julie, the other Horton family members, it is a lost cause. By the way, I have been a fan since January 1966. The show had only been on air a short time when I began watching. Everyday, I could wait for the most thrilling and exciting show to come on. Now, the thrill is gone. Bring back the old characters and get DOOL back on the Emmy program.

I always love Carly, Vivien and Justin. I really loved Jack and Jennifer also, but I don't think Jennifer will ever return. And I can't understand that Sami and Rafe seem to be the best and the favorite couple all the time. I really think since Nicole has returned she has played her part so well and believable. That she should be in there. Sami is wonderful also but I think Nicolle deserves her name on the list. I hope it stays on for many years to come and they will be able to bring all the others back sometime soon. I think it is getting very interesting with Kate and Stefano marrying and Bo and Hope with Carly coming in on that story. Keep up the good work. It was wonderful that Ava won a Emmy for her part and Max too. It still is a great soap.

Love Kate - her outfits, her beauty and her ability to maintain that edgy character. Melanie does a great job of acting. Stefano is marvelous!!! Some of these great actors do not get great lines, unfortunately. Hope - you are great stuff. Still love Julie and husband. She is a marvelous comedy actress - I love it every time she calls someone Darling. Still pretty as ever too. Doug - please sing again with your beautiful voice. Do not like Chloe's outfits and Daniel's lines are all too similar though he can be a good actor with intensity. Loved to see Anna's return and was sorry to see Tony go for sure! There is really nothing that memorable in the story lines anymore, though occasional moments are good as in today with Nicole and Brady. Maggie was fantastic today telling Hope about Mickey.
