Is it me, or should DAYS's Kate just have kept her mouth shut about her fling with Daniel? Chelsea never would have found out if Kate didn't insist on bringing it up every moment she was alone with the hunky doc. But sending that tell-all text message was really the final straw. This is a sophisticated woman acting like a teenager and so not who Kate is. Isn't she above running around after her granddaughter's boyfriend? I would have thought so.

I caught up on five episodes of ATWT yesterday and I have to say that I LOVED Emma calling Jack out on inviting Janet — a "stranger" — to live at the Synder farm. It's about time somebody finally acknowledged that Emma's house is not a hotel. And I'm very intrigued by Meg's hallucinations of Sophie. They're totally creepy, but I'm curious to see where this is all going. But really, isn't Brad's reaction to Liberty and Parker a little over the top?

I have been WAITING for ATWT's Lily to find out about Holden and Carly's affair and WOW, the reveal did not disappoint. Noelle Beck did a fantastic job as she made you feel the depth of Lily's feelings of betrayal, ranging from an eerie calm to a (rightfully) angry, sobbing mess. Michael Park was equally powerful, as Jack alternated between shocked, disgusted, indignant and righteous. I just don't think I can ever look at Holden and Carly the same (though Maura West played Carly's confusion and guilt beautifully), but their sordid affair has made me thinking, "THIS is why I love soaps." You don’t get more classic than a good infidelity tale.

I was so happy when Mark the cameraman working with Morgan on DAYS recognized Max from his previous life as a race car driver, especially since Mark noted that at one point, Max was being hailed as the next Jeff Gordon. "I never put two and two together," Mark marveled. "Dude, this is awesome. A celebrity cameo." And, on ATWT, I have to confess that I was never a big "Peg" (Paul and Meg) fan, but last week's episodes, where they reunited, made me a believer. I love these two together, and I love crazy Sofie's interference. They've certainly turned her into a classic soap psycho.

WOW! That's all I can say after catching up on a week's worth of DAYS over the weekend. How terrific was Lucas's comeback? Sure, it sounded cliché at first — Lucas returns right after Sami and EJ have sex for the first time — but Alison Sweeney, Bryan R. Dattilo and James Scott's powerful performances and the well-scripted tale made it anything but the usual soap fare. I was riveted. And I'm still on the fence about the Daniel/Chelsea romance. It's different and intriguing, but, like Daniel, I'm having trouble with the age difference. Finally, I totally enjoy Drake Hogestyn's portrayal of John. From the way he delivers his lines to the sheer glee he has on his face when he does it, you can tell he's having a ball with this "new" character. DAYS just keeps getting better and better.

May 6, 2008 - part 2
While I am temporarily filling in for ATWT, I just have to ask: Why isn't Agim Kaba (Aaron) in more story? How is it possible that someone who looks like Aaron has two potential love interests (Sofie, Alison), yet neither is interested in him? Nevermind that he’s also a nice guy. What kind of message is this? And what on Earth is wrong with those girls?

May 6, 2008 - part 1
How great was DAYS's
Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) in last week's scenes with Kristian Alfonso's Hope? It's almost hard to believe that this was the same character who was so hate-able when she first came to Salem. I spoke with Melvin the morning she received her well-deserved Emmy nomination and also praised her for the scenes. The modest actress confided that she had received a lot of compliments about them, but was embarrassed. "It was compliment overload and I don't know how to deal with it," she laughed. "But it's really nice!" I am also surprised by how much I am enjoying the Morgan/Philip flirtation. Do these two have chemistry, or what? I'd love to see this develop into something more....

Was ANYTHING more adorable than Stephanie and Max's "I love you" declaration on DAYS? These two are my new fave couple on the show. Their romance has been perfectly paced, they wisely addressed those pesky relative issues and with summer coming, I expect to see this duo front and center. As Darin Brooks (Max) said to me at the set recently, "It touches your heart somehow. All I ask is that the fans enjoy the relationship and they're entertained by it. And that they fall in love with the falling in love. That's all you can ask for." Hear, hear!

Wow: Welcome back, Nicole! How great was her re-entrance into the Kiriakis mansion? Victor and Kate's reactions were priceless. Great move that the show brought Arianne Zucker back. And is it me or have EJ and Sami become very cute and funny lately? James Scott and Alison Sweeney work well off of each other and their dialogue has played to that strength. Finally, I am just loving John Black. His one-liners, his smirky sarcasm, his pas-de-deux with Marlena — it's all working for me. If you're not watching, you're missing out. Trust me.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am a big, big KNOTS LANDING fan, so you can imagine my delight to learn that Kevin Dobson (ex-Mack) was hired as DAYS's new Mickey Horton. Dobson called me from the airport, where he was flying off to Michigan to appear in the national tour of 12 Angry Men, to chat about his new daytime role. "I'm Mickey Horton and I couldn't be happier," he exclaimed. He quickly pointed out the fact that there's another KL alum toiling in soaps, too. "I can't believe the cover of Soap Opera Digest has Ted Shackelford [Jeffrey, Y&R; ex-Gary, KL] on it. That's so cool! And then I'm in it, too." Though he's only worked a few days, he's already raving about his new co-stars. "This group at DAYS OF OUR LIVES is just phenomenal," he praises. "That work is not a slam dunk by any means and I'm just so proud to be hooking on. I hope it all works out. And working with Suzanne Rogers [Maggie]? That's pretty outrageous. And we look good together, I think!" I am looking forward to more chats with Dobson. And trust that I plan to pick his brain about his KL days...

I loved reading your blogging entry from October 20, 2008 about Jack/Janet/Carly. I'm loving Jacket! Michael Park and Julie Pinson are so sexy, fun and fresh together!

Erica has a gorgeous guy in Jack who has great (Fitness Logos) chemistry with her and a history as long as anyone's, and they chuck that for this (Services Logo Design) boring, inconsequential, tedious, awful Wooden. Retail Logos

STEPHANIE JOHNSON IS NOT AN ORPHAN How Are We Suppose to Care about Stephanie’s Downward Spiral, If Her Own Parents Don’t??? You Know Steve & Kayla Johnson? We would like to believe in Days again. Let’s start by making the stories real and bringing back Steve & Kayla to help their daughter. Right now the story is a sad joke. Steve & Kayla would never let/leave their little Sweetness’s side when she needs them now more than ever. Bring The Johnson Family Back Together. Bring Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans Back As Steve & Kayla Johnson Nancy J Lovallo

How dare Days Of Our Lives let our Veteran Actor’s go, Fire them and then bring back the charactersOf “Carly” and "Justin." I thought there was no money and that is why our wonderful Veteran Actor’s/characters Steve, Kayla, Marlena & John were let go? Why do the writers and producers of DOOL HATE Stephen Nichols, Mary Beth Evans, Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn so much? What did they do to make them hate them enough to get rid of the best Actor’s DOOL had? The big part of the family history of DOOL? I’m disgusted by this news. Though it shouldn’t surprise me, it still does. on't forget it was our Vets that got DOOL their Emmy Nomination.

Don't forget to mention how Carly broke the window on the door and it was fixed on the next scene!

I like Stephanie's blog. I'm a DOOL fan and was wondering the same thing why Bo would have Carly sleep in there room and also wondered where Nicole will be crashing at Sami's place? Anyway I love DOOL and can't wait to see when the news will come out that Sydney is Sami's. I hope Rafe gets the DNA he needs :-)
