Adam, fresh from the mental institution, showed up at Chandler to find that JR was staging a coup against him. After a vicious argument between father and son, the Chandler board voted about whether or not to oust Adam from the company. The vote was three to three; JR broke the tie in favor of stripping Adam of his power. Back at the Chandler mansion, Babe tried to broker peace between Krystal and Tad, who were arguing about Tad's plan to fight Krystal for custody of their unborn child. She was unsuccessful and implored Krystal to let Tad be a father to the baby. Krystal snapped that she thought she could count on Babe to support her.

Erica left the yacht unseen by Jack and Barbara, whom she'd caught in bed together. She then paid a visit to Josh and informed him that she had terminated her relationship with Jeff. Josh was a bit warmer to Erica than he has been of late and picked up on her desire to reconcile with Jack. After Josh made an impassioned declaration about the importance of fighting for what you want, Erica returned to the yacht and stunned Jack and Barbara by serving them breakfast in bed.

Adam refused to take his ouster from Chandler lying down and made a proposal to Josh. He later showed up at the mansion with Josh at his side.

Ryan was overjoyed when Annie accepted his proposal (Emma was pretty thrilled, too). They shared the good news with the Wildwind gang and enjoyed champagne toasts aplenty.

Amanda got word that her mother had escaped from the asylum.

Aidan convinced Lily not to move out of the house without first telling Jack about her problems with Barbara. Later, AIdan was stunned when he ran into a streetwalker who was a dead ringer for Lily.

At the Montgomery manse, Jack rebuffed Barbara's attempt to seduce him. But later, on the yacht, he succumbed to her advances, heartbroken when she and not Erica turned out to be his visitor.

Jeff was hurt when Erica broke the news to him that their relationship was over and urged her to reconsider. Erica refused, noting that she does not feel relieved or happy about the demise of her marriage to Jack. Erica then headed to the yacht — and saw Jack in bed with Barbara.

Zach introduced Kendall and Hannah. Kendall set about filling Hannah in about the kind of man Ethan was (a great one). Kendall defended Zach's rejection of Ethan as an act of love on Zach's part. Hannah promised Zach she'd consider his job offer.

The bustle of Fusion life came to a screeching halt when Zoe's mother came by unexpectedly. Bianca and Josh introduced themselves but Mrs. Luper was speechless by the sight of her son dressed as Zoe. They hugged tentatively. Mom made it clear that she did not approve of and could not accept Freddy transitioning medically to Zoe. Zoe ran off; Bianca ran off after her and Josh stayed behind to try to make mom see the light. Binks caught up to Zoe in the park and implored her to give her mother another chance.

Ryan and Emma frolicked at Wildwind with a chicken pox-ridden Annie and tried to stop her from succumbing to the urge to scratch — but she caved the second they weren't looking. Ryan's tender caretaking made a big impact on Annie, who took another look at the engagement ring he'd profferred....

Hannah paid a visit to Alexander in his jail cell and gave him an icy piece of her mind.

At Fusion, Bianca and Zoe enjoyed each other's company as they worked. Zoe, Bianca and Kendall all tried to convince Josh to forgive Erica for blabbing about Babe being alive. A client was rude to Zoe and Kendall rose to Zoe's defense.

Jeff tended to Krystal at the Chandler manse when she was hit with sharp abdominal pain. The pains subsided and Jeff assured Krystal she would be fine so long as she avoided stress. "Too late," Krystal groaned. Babe, meanwhile, confronted Tad about his intention to wrest custody of Krystal's daughter away from her. Tad wouldn't back down. In the living room, JR explained his determination to win back Babe to Krystal.

Colby was distraught over the fact that Adam had been institutionalized; Jamie barked that the girl just didn't understand the longstanding feud between his family and Adam. Adam probed Amanda for dirt on Jamie, but she refused to bite and later warned Jamie (who had a tense face-off with Adam) that Adam has it in for him. Adam sweet-talked Janet and asked her for a favor... Colby encountered Sean at the park and she begged him not to leave town, sadly proclaiming that he was all she had left.

Jack and Erica were both overwhelmed with memories when they met together with their respective attorneys at their place to discuss the terms of the divorce. Jack was touched when Erica insisted that Jack hang on to the house so as not to disrupt the routines of Lily and Sean. After the meeting, Erica, hit hard by the reality of the end of her marriage, told Jeff it was over between them. Barbara, meanwhile, used Jack's obvious vulnerability to her advantage, drawing him into a kiss....

Zach was thunderstruck when he realized that the woman who stood before him in his office was Hannah, Ethan's birth mom. The duo exchanged details of what they'd been up to over the past few decades, including a melancholy discussion of Ethan's tragic demise. Zach offered Hannah a position at Cambias as she expressed her desire to stick around and get to know the last place her son called home. When Kendall arrived and Zach introduced her to Hannah, Kendall couldn't help but be thrown.

Erica was a flurry of activity at Fusion, driving Kendall and Bianca insane with her involvement in their company. Sean arrived and tried to dissuade Erica from going through with the divorce. Their emotional conversation moved Erica, who assured Sean of her love for him while insisting that it's too late for her and Jack to reconcile. Kendall and Bianca realized that Erica was immersing herself in work to distract herself from the divorce and both girls threw their arms around their mom and pledged their support.

At the Montgomery mansion, Lily told Jack and Zach that a mystery woman was skulking around outside. Lily and Zach then went to Cambias, where Lily will now be working. The mystery woman showed up there and expressed surprise when Zach failed to recognize her. Back at the Montgomery house, Sean was devastated when Barbara revealed to him that Erica had slept with Jeff, news Jack later confirmed. Erica then arrived to discuss the divorce with Jack.

At the Chandler manse, JR, Colby and Babe liberated Krystal and Tad from the room Adam had locked them in. Meanwhile, Adam woke up in the Chandler boardroom to find the board members gaping at him — because he was stark naked. Adam immediately figured that Tad was responsible and swore revenge. Jamie and Aidan arrived on the scene and painted Adam as a madman — so that when Adam made it back to the mansion, he was quickly apprehended by two burly attendants from the sanitarium, who hauled him off against Krystal's protests. Adam seethed when he was placed in a straitjacket — and was even more mortified when he was greeted warmly by a fellow patient: Janet. Back at home, Krystal was struck by abdominal pain and Babe rushed to her aid.

Ryan was at a loss when Annie abruptly ordered him out of her room. Her sudden cold shoulder made a lot more sense when he learned she was suffering from chicken pox. Annie was reluctant to let Ryan see her covered with spots but he sweet-talked his way back into her room and charmed her by lovingly tending to her. Downstairs, the Wildwind gang played poker but Julia sat the game out, working on her presentation to the hospital board on behalf of the nurses, who intended to demand a pay raise. The group was tickled to hear that Ryan had proposed to Annie.

At Ethan's gravesite, Zach expressed his remorse to Kendall over not having been a part of his late son's life. He vowed not to repeat his past mistakes. Back at their place, Kendall and Zach snuggled with Spike and Kendall assured Zach that she had complete confidence in his ability to be an amazing father to their child and a wonderful stepfather to Spike. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman approached Ethan's grave.

Babe brought Little Adam over to Bianca's to wish Miranda a happy birthday. The women renewed their bond as friends as they reminisced about the night their children were born. Zoe stopped by with a music box that plays the song he had written for Miranda's birthday. Bianca, moved by Zoe's kind gift for her child, drew Zoe into a tender kiss.... JR gifted Babe with a piece of land, telling her that if she chose to remain in their marriage, they could build their dream house on the property, but if she wants to divorce him, she can construct a home for herself and Little Adam. Babe wondered if her hubby had truly turned over a new leaf.

Adam, who had had the power to the mansion turned off, warned Krystal that he would make her life a living hell (and remove even more creature comforts) if she insisted on remaining inside the manse. Krystal discovered Tad bound to a bed in an upstairs room and freed him — only to have Adam confine her and Tad to the room. When JR and Babe returned home, Adam lied to cover Krystal's true whereabouts.

Lily, despondent over Barbara's continuing presence in her home, informed Aidan that she wanted to blackmail the woman into leaving town. Aidan pointed out that blackmail is illegal, so Lily reconsidered her options. She returned home and told Barbara point-blank that she wanted her gone.
