AMC Recaps Week of April 16, 2007Friday, April 20, 2007 At Fusion, Kendall again asked Zach to send Bianca back to Paris. Again, he refused, and when Zach was alone, Bianca approached and asked him to send her back to Paris, letting it slip that Zoe would be in London. Zach agreed, and Bianca worried Kendall would be upset. When Kendall walked over, Zach put on a show of telling Bianca how much he needed her to go to Paris. Bianca played along, and Kendall pitched in to "convince" Bianca to go. Bianca feigned giving in and "agreed" to go. Once Bianca left, Kendall thanked Zach, convinced he did it out of love for her. Before Zach could tell her otherwise, Derek arrived with the news that Alexander was going to be moved to the sanitarium. Zach informed Derek that he didn't care where Alexander went. Zoe went to see Erica at NEW BEGINNINGS, and insisted she wouldn't hurt Bianca. In fact, part of why she was going to London was to avoid that. Erica thanked her, and asked if Zoe would perform her new song on NEW BEGINNINGS. Zoe agreed, and Bianca showed up to tell Erica about Paris. In front of Zoe, Bianca broke the news. Erica attempted to talk her out of it, but Bianca said it was a done deal, "unless," she said looking at Zoe, "you think it's a bad idea." Zoe thought it was a great idea. Two nurses wondered where the Carey baby was as they looked at an empty bassinette. Meanwhile, Babe, Colby, Tad and JR arrived at Krystal's room to take her and Jenny home. Krystal sent Colby off to school, and JR decided he thought living with Krystal was going to be great for Colby. Opal showed up and suggested she, Krystal and Babe try to act a little more like a family. Jenny was her granddaughter, after all. Opal gifted Krystal with Jenny's rattle. JR went to find Jenny, and ended up fighting with Joe and Jeff about the nurses' strike. Tad joined, and he and JR headed to the nursery. Stuart came to help out at the hospital, and told Marian he was worried what Adam may do to Jenny. Tad and JR found Jenny's bassinette empty. Both panicked, and paged Joe, who was with Krystal, to avoid worrying her as well. Joe thought it was probably just a mistake brought on by the confusion of the strike, and he went to find security. Jamie showed up and joined the search. Joe returned and informed Tad, JR and Jamie that Jenny was not in the hospital. At the mansion, Adam thought about what Stuart had said to him. He imagined Krystal brought Jenny to see him, but Tad showed up saying it was his child. Back in reality, Adam growled, "not for long." He made a call to someone about setting up the adoption of a newborn baby girl, and the camera landed on Jenny.
The unseen woman with the green butterfly read about Alexander's hearing, and remembered Kendall and Ryan. It was Greenlee (in the form of Sabine Singh). She called to book a flight to Pine Valley — she's "going home."
Thursday, April 19, 2007 Erica, Aidan and Jack walked into Jack's house and discovered Lily, who was there with Ava. She introduced Ava to Jack and Erica. When Erica, Jack and Aidan grilled her, Ava tried to leave. Lily asked Jack and Erica to let Ava stay, and threatened to leave with her otherwise. Lily left to make Ava dinner, and Jack, Erica and Aidan questioned Ava again. Ava apologized to Erica for pretending to be Lily, claimed she would never hurt Lily, and insisted she had never been a hooker. Sean arrived, and upon their introduction, Ava immediately flirted with him. Jack told Ava she could stay "short term." Lily returned, and Jack told her he decided Ava could stay for a while. Ava and Aidan went outside to talk, where he informed her that no one in Pine Valley owed her anything, and warned her again not to hurt Lily. Ava said goodbye to Aidan, and basked in her good luck at being able to stay in PV. "Cha-ching," she crowed. While Julia and the other nurses waited for news on the nurses' contract negotiations, Jamie gave JR a hard time, saying as long as he continued to live with Adam, he'd be begging for another chance. JR pointed out that Tad wasn't innocent; he slept with a married woman, as did Jamie. He suggested they all move on. Jeff arrived and informed Julia that the nurse's demands had not been met, and Julia instructed all the nurses to leave. Josh visited Krystal, who assumed he was there for Babe. Josh said he just wanted to see how she was doing, and promised he was letting go of Babe. Babe overheard from the hallway, and thanked him as he left. In another room, Tad told Jenny about her aunt for whom she was named, and about her sister Kate. He fed her, and explained that he had never before been able to do that, since he wasn't around when Jamie and Kate were small. Back in Krystal's room, Colby, Babe and Krystal ate a giant bowl of ice cream. JR arrived saying he rented out Ryan's condo for them. He commended Colby for her decision to move out. JR turned to leave and Babe followed him into the hall to discuss Little A's schedule. Babe said it was weird that they were being civil, and JR said it wasn't as easy as it looked, and left before he "ruined the moment." At ConFusion, Ryan, Annie and Di discussed the upcoming wedding, until Del stormed and told Di she should at least pretend to care that their sister's killer was getting off. Di begged Del not to let Alexander ruin the rest of their lives. Derek approached the group, which then included Jonathan, and warned them not to take matters into their own hands. Di and Ryan insisted no one would go after Alexander. Jonathan thought Derek's speech was directed toward him alone. Jamie showed up at ConFusion and asked Derek if he planned to arrest Adam for causing his accident. Amanda asked Jamie to back off so they could focus on finding her mom. An unseen woman read about Alexander's hearing on a computer. Adam went to the hospital nursery, where he looked in on Jenny. He sent an overwhelmed nurse out of the nursery, and was left alone with the baby.
Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Zach visited Alexander's cell. He pointed out that he was as good as dead, because Alexander would have to put on this crazy act for the rest of his life. Zach left him with a teddy bear playing the Red Rock song, and Alexander gripped the chair in frustration. At Cambias, Josh tried to sympathize with Hannah, who left abruptly claiming he couldn't understand. At Fusion, Babe, Kendall and Annie agonized over the hearing, while Ryan attempted to calm them down, suggesting they all go home. Kendall ran to the bathroom and got sick, and Annie went after her. Annie told Kendall she could commiserate with her feeling that justice did not prevail. The courts let Terry go free. Annie admitted that she prayed for Terry to die, and suggested Kendall do the same for Alexander. She should fight for her future. Meanwhile, Babe talked to Ryan about how good Erin was to her when she first started working at Fusion. Ryan stopped her, saying she shouldn't feel guilty for surviving. He told her to go home and spend time with someone who made her feel glad to be alive, and she left. Zach arrived and checked on Kendall in the bathroom. She noticed he looked different; better somehow. Zach said he didn't lose it after the hearing because he thought about their family. When he visited Alexander in jail, he realized his father no longer had any control over him. Annie invited Zach and Kendall to have dinner with her and Ryan. Kendall declined, but said they would definitely do it another day. Ryan and Zach were shocked at their sudden friendliness. After Zach and Kendall left, Ryan told Annie he was worried about Jonathan. Tad visited Krystal and Jenny and filled Krystal in on Alexander's hearing. Krystal apologized for telling Tad to back off, and also admitted he was right about Adam. Krystal now understood why Dixie wanted to tell Tad the truth — she knew how horrible Adam could be, and what a great father Tad was. Krystal said she was glad Tad was Jenny's father, and was sorry she kept it from him for so long. Tad left, and Colby brought food for Krystal. When Babe arrived, Colby told her she was going to move in with her and Krystal, if it was okay with her. Babe said she would be insulted if Colby lived with anyone else, and Colby shared all the plans she had for Jenny: movies, the mall, a Sweet 16. Krystal and Babe taught Colby the Carey motto: "We deserve the best, and together we can always get it." At ConFusion, Tad and Derek talked about the hearing, while nearby Hannah sat remembering all the horrible things Alexander had done to her. The unseen man with the rifle was revealed to be Del.
Tuesday, April 17, 2007 Adam showed no sympathy for Krystal, and demanded she stay away from Colby. Krystal was surprised by the news that Colby planned to live with her, but claimed Colby was free to do what she wanted. Adam told her she and Jenny would be sorry if she didn't stay away from Colby, and Krystal retorted she would kill him if he ever touched Jenny. Colby and Sean looked at Jenny in the nursery. Colby filled him in about Adam, and Sean comforted her. As they hugged, Adam spied them, and told Colby to stay away from both Sean and Krystal. Alone, Adam looked in on Jenny. Joe arrived and chased him off, warning him not to hurt his family. At the hospital, Julia caught Josh stealing drugs. Josh told her she should turn a blind eye if she wanted to make sure Alexander paid for his crimes. Joe walked in and insisted he wouldn't let Josh commit a crime. Alexander's hearing began, and he spewed out nonsense rhymes while everyone looked on in disgust. As Jack insisted to the judge that Alexander was faking, Del jumped up to attack Alexander, but the guards subdued him. Jonathan told Ryan that he would have been faster than Del — he could have gotten to Alexander. JR thanked Del for speaking up. Jack questioned one of the doctors, who said there was no medical cause for Alexander's mental problems. Kendall got woozy and left the room. Hannah came out and told her that after today Alexander would never hurt anyone again. Jack questioned Alexander, while everyone in the courtroom reflected on the murders. Jack called Zach to the stand, who announced that he was Raymond Jenkins' son, not Alexander's, hoping Alexander would react and blow his cover. Alexander didn't crack. The judge said he believed Alexander was faking, but since he had no proof, he would have to remand him to a sanitarium. Outside of the courtroom, Zach admitted he lied on the stand — Alexander was his father. Colby went to see Krystal, who asked about her wanting to live with her and Jenny. Colby thought Krystal didn't want her, but Krystal insisted she was welcome and told her, "I would be so honored if you would become part of my family." Adam paid a visit to Amanda, and she accused him of trying to kill her and Jamie. Adam threatened Janet's life, and told her that if she wanted to keep Janet safe, she had to give him something he could use against Jamie or Tad. She gave him a box of Kathy's things that Julia and Jamie said was important. An unseen person with gloved hands picked up a gun.
Monday, April 16, 2007 Zach told Kendall that there was going to be an insanity hearing and a panel of psychiatrists would be speaking on Alexander's behalf. He left to do what he should have done already — kill Alexander. Kendall called Ryan, and when he and Annie came over, she asked Ryan to go make sure Zach didn't get himself into trouble. Babe ran into JR at the hospital, and he explained he was visiting Krystal because they bonded when Babe was "dead." Babe wanted JR to look into why their divorce was being held up. Tad let Krystal in on his plans for her and Jenny, and Krystal demanded to know who put him in charge of her life. Babe walked in and told Tad she would taking care of Krystal. Tad left when he got a phone call, and JR and Jamie went with him to the courthouse. After a nurse took Jenny, Babe and Krystal turned on the TV and saw the news about Alexander. Babe ran out to go to the courthouse, and Adam showed up at Krystal's hospital room. Bianca asked Zoe if she wanted their relationship to end. Zoe told her no, but there were other things in her life that needed to come first. They discussed her going to London for her music career, and Zoe shared a song she wrote about Bianca. Zoe told Bianca she must stay in PV with Miranda, while she learned about herself in London — someday she would share it with her. Bianca watched Zoe take her first hormone pills, and then they watched a movie and snuggled. Lily and Ava came face to face, and Ava told her they were sisters. Lily wondered if Ava hadn't come to see her sooner because she had autism spectrum disorder, but Ava said she didn't know about Lily until Aidan told her. Lily realized Aidan lied to her. Lily asked why Aidan didn't like Ava, and Ava shared some of the bad things she's done. Lily compared her experiences with Jonathan to Ava's own experiences. Lily asked about the bruise on Ava's cheek, and they discussed bad men, prompting Lily to tell Ava about the man who tricked her and tried to rape her. Ava insisted that it wasn't Lily's fault. Lily offered to teach Ava math if Ava would teach her how to tell when a guy wants to have sex with her. Lily and Ava agreed to be "real" sisters. Jonathan, Di, Del and Aidan ran into the courthouse and demanded to know how Alexander could possibly get off without any jail time. Jack explained that he would be remanded to a sanitarium, and Jonathan claimed that meant his victims would get no justice. Tad and Zach ran into each other outside the courtroom and Zach told Tad he was wrong to stop him from killing Alexander. Kendall arrived and told Zach she wanted to show Alexander that nothing he did could tear them apart. Zach agreed to let her stay. Jack explained to Zach that they would need to get their own doctor to prove Alexander was lucid. As everyone looked on, Alexander was brought in in a wheelchair.
