Greenlee saw Aidan at Dr. Hilliard's office and refused to leave. As the doc tried to see her out, Greens was upset that the doc was forcing her hand. She stated that allowing Adian in would ruin everything. Just then, the doctor recognized her as Spike's kidnapper. Greenlee vowed that she loves Spike and begged the doctor not to let her actions dissuade him from trying to help the poor boy. Greens explained the entire drama and begged the doc to treat Spike. Dr. Hilliard stated that what started out as a medical case has become a circus and he's no longer interested, then he returned Greenlee's money. Greens stormed out and blasted Adian for ruining anything.

At home, Annie informed Ryan that Spike can't live with them. Ryan was shocked. In Annie's head, she was haunted by, "Ring Around the Rosie." Ryan pointed out that since Kendall's so grief-stricken, Spike needs to stay with them and wanted to know why she was resistant. He asked if Annie's visit to her dad had anything to do with it. She claimed no, stating that she doesn't want to separate a mother from her son. "What if this is what pushes her on the edge?" she asked. Ryan appreciated Annie's concern but asked her to trust him. He then acknowledged that he should have discussed it with her first. Then, when Annie spoke in Greenlee's defense, Ryan asked what his wife was hiding. "I can't help you if you don't tell me what it is," he stated. She denied nothing was going on and went to check on Emma. Annie found Emma singing, "Ring Around he Rosie" and scolded her. Then, Emma said that grandpa told her what mommy did.

At the hospital, a dazed Kendall freaked out a new mother when she asked to hold the woman's baby, but Zach arrived and smoothed things over. Kendall regretted how it's been so long since she's been peaceful. Kendall apologized for scaring the woman, then explained what had happened to her boys. On their way out, the mother sympathized and offered to let Kendall hold the baby. Zach and Kendall were most appreciative. In the hall, Kendall was revived and renewed and realized her joy for motherhood. She told Zach how much she loved him and how much she needs Spike. She stated that Ryan's plan was not going to work.

Jack showed up at Erica's doorstep. He was furious she went ahead with the TV show, despite him voicing his objections. Erica attempted to explain why she told the network he would do the show, but Jack didn't want to hear it. Erica pointed out that if the show goes, it will benefit charities for children with hearing disorders and an organization dedicated to helping premature babies. "Don't you want to make a difference?" Erica asked. Jack turned the discussion around and asked if she needed him. Erica blustered that including him in the project was the network's choice, not hers. Their discussion got flirty and comical, until it came to their respective daughters. However, Jack appeared to be caving and strongly considered that the show might do some good. He admonished Erica for going ahead without him but made one condition: They had to make "mad, passionate love."

Zach and Kendall showed up at Ryan's to take Spike home with them. "We changed out minds," Zach stated. "Well, I haven't changed mine," shot back Ryan. Annie entered with a possible solution — that they all move in together.
