At the Chandler manse, Adam and JR had words over Little Adam, with Adam blasting JR for his drinking. JR then told Colby that Amanda was pregnant with his baby. Colby tried to bolster JR's spirits and expressed her faith in his ability to get his life back on track.

At the hospital, Brot helped Emma cope with the burn on her hand. Greenlee and Taylor were impressed. Frank also praised Brot and suggested that he get a job at the hospital. Minutes later, Brot got the gig, as an orderly. Brot invited Taylor to go out to celebrate with him; she was thrilled.

At Oak Haven, Ryan complained to the administrator about Dr. Sinclair's aggressive methods. "Her behavior is very unethical," Ryan insisted, threatening a lawsuit. An emergency with Annie pulled their focus. In her room, Annie recalled killing Richie and told Aidan ("Mr. Stone") through the vents what she had recalled. Sinclair pressed Annie to tell her what she was experiencing but she didn't share any details with the doc, much to Aidan's relief. Sinclair then told Ryan that she believes that Annie is faking her psychosis, which Ryan didn't buy. Sinclair made it clear that she intended to see Annie stand trial for her crimes.... Through the vents, Annie told Aidan what she remembered. He tried to soothe her, noting that Richie was a bad man. Aidan had to admit that Erica, whom Annie had stabbed, had done nothing to provoke her. "I'm a monster," sighed Annie. Aidan tried to reassure her. When Sinclair came in, Aidan slapped on his crazy act, and maintained his composure externally when Sinclair informed him that she was now his doctor. Sinclair told "Mr. Stone" that his textbook paranoia was "a little too on the nose" and that something would have to be done about that.

At ConFusion, Jake offered his advice to Amanda, who had wanted to leave when David and Krystal arrived. (He advised her not to give David cause to be suspicious.) Krystal wasn't amused by David's goading of Amanda when he sent a "surprise" over to her (a bottle of champagne). David sauntered over to Amanda and Jake and dug at Jake over his job loss. Krystal came over to pull David back to their table. Amanda bolted.... Taylor showed up to meet Brot and enjoyed a brief catch-up with Jake, who ushered her away from where David was sitting. Jake admitted to Taylor that he had intervened when Brot was mad at her for trying to get him a job.... Krystal asked David why he enjoyed picking fights. David insisted that he was in the right and that he was just defending himself. When Tad arrived, Krystal suggested that they leave. David handed Krystal her divorce papers and suggested that she bring them over to Tad to sign. Tad and Krystal's eyes met across the room. David pressed Krystal but she resisted, telling him that she wanted to leave — without him.... Jake told Taylor that he had no regrets, except for not knowing what could have been between them. Before he left, she told him how glad she was that they were still friends.... On Krystal's way out, Tad intercepted her and saw the divorce papers. He asked her if she wanted him to sign them. She said she didn't know. He left, telling her to let him know when she'd decided.... Jake ran into Brot on his way out and congratulated Brot on his new job. Brot thanked Jake for helping him with Taylor. Taylor and Brot shared a warm greeting; her eyes locked with Jake, who beat a hasty retreat.

When Ryan returned home, Greenlee and Emma filled him in about the accident that had burned her hand. Greens was extremely apologetic; Ryan was shocked that Greenlee had actually baked something. Ryan told Greenlee that it seemed like Sinclair was trying to hang Annie, not help her.

A distraught Amanda received a visit from JR on the yacht. She tried to throw him out but relented when he insisted that he was just there to give her support. They enjoyed spending time together.
