Kendall assured Zach that they'll get through this tough time. "Stop shutting me out of your heart because you think I've changed," she said and urged him to trust her instincts now. They shared a passionate kiss. Kendall wanted to make good on their renewed vows; Zach reminded her they can't go back. She made a series of promises be a better person to help heal their relationship; he did the same.

Eric called an angry Annie a liar when she claimed that Aidan had kidnapped her to get her to confess to Stuart's murder. Adam told Ryan he'd pay for his part in it. Emma ran out when the adults started fighting. Adam followed her and was stunned when he found her unconscious and at the bottom of the stairs. They called an ambulance; Ryan started CPR. At the hospital, the paramedics informed Jake that Emma had a seizure en route and he ordered CT scan. In the waiting room, Jesse questioned Adam about Annie's disappearance. Adam said Aidan tortured Annie and demanded that he lock both him and Ryan up. Erica advised them to focus on Emma and crossed hairs with Annie when she suggested that Annie's more worried about what Emma might say when she's alone with the doctors. Erica asked Adam if he saw Emma fall. He blamed himself for trying to comfort her. "When I reached out to her, she ran. She hates me." He had a quick flash of a memory involving Emma and was clearly rattled.

Aidan informed Zach and Kendall about what had happened to Emma. Jesse arrived, adding how Erica and Annie "almost went ghetto on each other" before the girl fell. Then he handcuffed and arrested Aidan for kidnapping Annie and said he has to play by the book. Zach agreed it was a good idea so nothing could be tracked back to Kendall. Later, Kendall reminisced about her wedding day to Zach and recalled their original vows.

Back at he hospital, Jake told Annie and Ryan that Emma's brain is bleeding and she needs surgery to relieve the pressure on it. Annie was inconsolable and angry that she doesn't have a say in the matter and said she wishes she had sole custody of Emma. Ryan told Erica that he blames himself for what happened. Scott told Annie they want to question her at the police station. She surmised that Jesse knows more than he's letting on and demanded that Adam go to the station and make sure Aidan isn't released. Scott comforted Annie. They went for a walk. Annie said she needs to tell him the truth about Stuart's murder. Zach arrived. Ryan angrily confronted him about what happened. He pointed out that Zach doesn't care about anything but clearing Kendall's name and Emma continues getting hurt because of it. Zach apologized and said he thought he was doing what's best for everyone.

At the police station, Jesse told Aidan they'll have to go through the motions with the arrest, especially when Adam shows up, and that they will have to look into the kidnapping, but assured him that the charges will be dropped. Aidan wanted the D.A. to throw the book at him to make it look legitimate. Jesse was stunned and pointed out that Aidan could do some serious time. Later, Adam accused Jesse of being a co-conspirator in Annie's kidnapping. Jesse, in turn, accused Adam of covering for Annie.

Back at the hospital, Erica walked in on Annie having a private chat with Scott. "See, now you know why it has to be this way," Annie said. Erica interrupted and told Annie that Emma's surgery was a success. Erica was appalled that Annie acted more concerned about fighting Ryan and Zach than her daughter's surgery. When Annie turned back around, Scott was gone. He went back to the Chandler manse and had a flash of Stuart's dead body. Then he poured himself a stiff drink. When Adam walked in, Scott said he knows now Annie didn't kill Stuart.

Kendall was shocked and panicked as she listened to a message on the Slater answering machine. The warden at the prison informed Zach that there was an incident in his wife's cell block and she was stabbed so they're taking her to Pine Valley hospital.
