AMC Recaps Week of May 30, 2005Friday, June 3, 2005 Just as Ryan was making calls to find his missing wife, Greenlee walked in the door. "Are you back to stay?" he wondered. She wasn’t sure if it was even a marriage anymore, and she couldn't get past his dishonesty. He told her he did what he had to do to save their marriage. "Are you saying it's okay not to tell the truth as long as it saves us?" she asked. Yup, that's what he said. And that's all Greenlee needed to hear before heading over to the fertility clinic and announcing, "I'm Mrs. Ryan Lavery and I want my husband's sperm." Alone with a frazzled and confused David, Di insisted that she wasn't Dixie. "What happened to your other kidney?!" he demanded. She blamed it on family problems and further assured him she wasn't Dix. Then she clued him in that Tad had fallen for every clue he planted. What was she supposed to do the next time he confronted her? Was she supposed to admit to Tad that she was Dixie? "Here's what you are going to do..." David began and the camera cut to a convenient commercial. Before Babe could show Krystal a picture of the nanny during her prison visit, their conversation was changed to Tad, and the fact he hadn't visited in quite some time. Babe told a stunned Krystal there was a chance Dixie could still be alive. "I guess that explains why Tad has been scarcer than bubble bath around here," Krystal quipped. She assured her daughter that she was okay with the news and that with her being in jail for the next nine years, she hoped for Tad's sake Dixie was alive. When Babe left, she left the pictures of Little Adam (and Di) sitting on the table. Krystal was Miss Popular today, because after Babe's visit, David popped by. He panicked when he saw the photo of Di in the pile Babe left, and quickly took it before Krystal ever had a chance to see it.
JR was livid when Tad suggested Di was really his mother. Tad gave him all of the facts that led him to believe it was true, from Jane Doe to the real Diana Cole. As Tad told the long story, JR has flashbacks to Di singing "You Are My Sunshine" and he had to admit that there was similarities. Still, he wasn't about to believe it and he ordered that Tad stay away from him and Diana before leaving the hospital. Later, while Di was away having tests, Tad snuck into her room and went through her purse. Unfortunately, no hairbrush full of DNA, but he took her compact, stating that fingerprints would have to do.
Thursday, June 2, 2005 Mother Maria vs. Bratty kids round 1,299,343 began today. When the possibility of moving to California came up, Sam assured his mom he would not be going. Back from Florida, Lily interrupted Sam's battle with his mother and the two young lovebirds reunited. Happiness didn't last long when Sam got upset over Lily mentioning that "Zach wasn't going to be bad anymore." After Sam stormed out, Maria had to comfort Lily and assure her that she wasn't a bad girlfriend. During the chat, Lily spilled the beans that Zach and Kendall married, and Maria was visibly upset. In Di's room Tad stared intently at a sleeping Di's face and softly said "Dixie." With that, Sleeping Beauty's eyes opened. Tad informed her he knew about her friend, the real Diana Cole. "Who the hell are you?" he asked, and fired question after question at her. He was certain that his Dixie would never let him or her son continue to believe she was dead if she was very much alive. Before she could answer, JR barged in and made Tad leave her alone. With Tad out of the room, JR demanded to know if Di and Tad knew each other in the past. Yes, she confirmed. Once she assured him she wasn't Tad's spy, she begged him not to push her for any more information. "I promise you'll know...eventually," she guaranteed. Tad confided his thoughts that Di was Dixie once again with Joe, and once again Joe refused to run the DNA test. Good ol' Dr. Joe told Tad he had to tell JR about his suspicions. Sam walked up and asked Tad if he could move in with him, since they were family and all. He introduced himself to his great-grandfather Joe, but didn't chat for long because he fled as soon as Tad said no. Tad had more pertinent matters on his hand, though, because JR demanded his attention again. Who is Diana to you? he asked. It was time for the truth and Tad gave it to him: "Dixie." At the hospital, David overheard Di was admitted and he immediately wanted to know what was wrong with her. "How do you know Diana?" JR snapped. David quickly explained his way out of it by stating she was his grandson's nanny. When neither JR or Anita would tell David about Di's condition, he took matters into his own hands and took a peak at her chart where he learned she only had one kidney. You could see the wheels turning in his mind and by the end of the episode he was at Di's bedside. "Dixie, is it you?" he asked, staring down at the blonde.
Wednesday, June 1, 2005 Ethan and Simone were sharing a laugh about her recent online dating, that is until Kendall walked up. They shared a few harsh words before Kendall walked away and Simone followed, where she offered to stay clear of Ethan for her friend's sake. Kendall to her not to worry about it. "If I thought there was a chance, I would go over and say something. But there is nothing I can do," she sadly explained. "There is no way he's going to forgive me." Then Kendall gave Simone her blessing to go after Ethan, and she did just that. Since Ethan was picking up the tab for their dinner, Simone make sure to order enough for a week (literally!), and she invited Ethan to join her whenever he wanted. Meanwhile, all alone at home, Kendall flashed back to memories of her with Ethan as tears fell down her cheeks. A tearful Greenlee revealed to David that Ryan had a vasectomy and her dream of having children with him was gone. "Maybe the dream isn't dead," David said as an idea sparked in his head as he told her he could give her that child. "I'm not going to have your baby!" she screamed. No, no, no, explained David. Ryan was a sperm donor when he first came to Pine Valley, and there was a strong possibility that some of Ryan's sperm could be left. Ryan went to Zach's casino where Zach showed him the disk of Jonathan preparing to shoot Ryan. Mr. Lavery quickly turned violent. He calmed down enough to play a little not-so-friendly Blackjack with Zach and the two shared an unpleasant conversation. Seems they both have had a lot of family turmoil. Zach advised Ryan to build a big wall around him: "No one gets in; no one gets hurt," he explained. Just as Tad was about to interrogate Di, she collapsed in JR's arms. "That's convenient," sighed Tad. Not so quick, Tad; she was burning up. They rushed her to the hospital. And while JR was sitting with DI, Tad was asked Joe to run a DNA test on Di — to see if she was really Dixie. Joe refused. He wasn't going to do it without Di's consent. (Way to learn a lesson Dr. Joe!) Di's test results revealed that she had a kidney infection and was being admitted. Tad voiced that he didn't think a kidney infection was that serious. Oh, it was, Joe informed him, when a person only had one kidney like Di. Remember Dixie giving a kidney to her brother Del? Hmmmm...
Tuesday, May 31, 2005 At the hospital, Greenlee was furious with the doctor who performed Ryan's vasectomy. Maria pulled her off of him and then Greenlee focused her blame on Maria. Maria tried to explain what Ryan must be feeling, but Greenlee didn't want to hear it. Later, all alone Greens called out to her dearly departed Leo. "Tell me what I'm supposed to do," she begged. She pleaded with him to send her something, anything. Cue David's appearance... Jamie returned home to Brooke and JR waiting on him and he was less than pleased. Brooke did her best to get the boys to remember the good times and get over this anger they shared, but no such luck. The trio tried to talk about Babe, but Jamie ordered JR out. Before he left, he gave his little brother a gift: a doctor's bag. Once JR was gone, mother and son chatted about Jamie's dreams of being a doctor. Brooke tried to talk him into going to school out of state. They disagreed about Babe, but Brooke just wanted what was best for her little boy. Ryan was angry with Kendall for telling Greenlee about his little secret. In the midst of their arguments, Kendall clued Ryan in on her new marital status. "I hope you make a better wife than friend," shot Ryan, furious at Kendall for hurting Greenlee. Not so fast, Ryan. "If you want to find someone to blame, look in the mirror," Kendall snapped. He stayed firm that he did what he had to do to save his marriage. Kendall left, but spotted the mystery blonde entering Ryan's place on her way out. The blonde informed Ryan that two women came to the club looking for him. With everything else going on in his life, he said didn't give a damn. Babe was visiting Little Adam and Amanda planted more doubts in her head about Di. They continued to seemingly grow their B.F.F. (Best Friends Forever — duh!) bond, much to Amanda's delight. But trouble arose when JR returned. Babe quickly hid and Amanda clued her partner in crime in that Babe was behind the bushes, without the blonde's knowledge. As soon as he stepped back inside, Babe jumped out from the bushes. "I am not leaving you with him!" proclaimed Babe. Amanda assured her she'd be okay and got Babe to leave. Jamie was playing with his new stethoscope when Babe returned home. He quickly hid it when she walked in and declared that they had to help Amanda. After Babe left, JR and Amanda toasted over how well their plan was going and as Amanda exited, Tad entered. He had questions for Di. Her ears obviously burning, Di walked in and locked eyes with Tad.
