JR tore into Adam for making yet another attempt to try to make him think Dixie is a fake, but Babe, Krystal and Adam swore they could prove it. "She is not your Dixie, Tad," sighed Krystal, who then dropped the bomb that Di was in jail with her. JR refused to buy it, but Di confirmed it. Adam then revealed to the crowd that Hayward was behind the set-up. David showed up and said yes, he was. JR ordered him to leave, continuing to insist his mom is the real deal. David then claimed that Di came out to him as Dixie while she was in jail and had told him she needed his help. David spun a tale about how he, too, had been taken in by Dixie and had been manipulated by her all along. Dixie explained that David lied about why he installed "Dixie" in the Chandler mansion, that she'd never told him she was Dixie and had claimed to be Di Kirby. "That was the biggest lie of them all," she swore. "I'm Dixie."

At the NEW BEGINNINGS launch party, Lily was overwhelmed by the crowd. Danielle was uncomfortable when she realized Josh was there. She was evasive when Reggie questioned her about how she knew the guy. Zach continued to get a kick out of how much Erica hated that he was present. Jack took Ryan aside to make sure he'd be on his best behavior. Greenlee pulled Kendall outside to show her that she'd purchased a pregnancy test and intended to take it on the spot. Greens then got queasy and Kendall gasped to Zach that her pal must be preggers. Kendall chased after her and Ryan followed. Greenlee covered her queasiness by claiming stage fright. When it was time to meet the press, Lily started to panic, but Erica calmed her down by putting on her sunglasses. Zach, meanwhile, assured Kendall he would help her handle the Greenlee situation. Zach laid it on thick when Erica introduced him at the press conference, planting a big kiss on his stunned mother-in-law's cheek. Reggie grew huffy on stage as he watched Josh sidle up to Dani in the crowd. Erica called on Greens to speak, but she was on the verge of getting sick, so Zach pulled Kendall into a big kiss to create a distraction. When Greenlee tore off to the bathroom, Ryan, Kendall and Zach followed. Alone with Kendall, Greenlee got confirmation that she's pregnant and jumped for joy — which was diminished when Erica walked in and overheard the big news.

Josh pressed Dani about why she was so jumpy around him. She confessed that she did lose her virginity to him, after all. Lily spied Dani in Josh's arms as he attempted to comfort her. Josh swore to Dani he wouldn't breathe a word about their tryst to Reggie. Lily then told Reggie that Josh had almost kissed Dani.

Greenlee warned Erica that it was up to her to tell Ryan she's pregnant, but Erica was determined to tell him on the spot. The rest of the family then arrived and Jack asked Erica what her big announcement was. Cut to Greenlee.

Erica wailed to Greenlee and Kendall about how they've abandoned her on such an important day. Kendall reminded La Kane that she didn't even invite her husband and Greenlee added that her own husband hasn't exactly been a source of great publicity lately. Erica subtly blackmailed Greenlee into attending her gala in return for her silence about Greenlee's sperm-stealing stunt.

In front of JR, Dixie informed David that she no longer needed his protection. JR grumbled over David's inability to take Dixie's "take a hike" hint. After David left, JR grilled Dixie about why she would have needed David's protection; Dixie delivered a cover story. Dixie then assured her son that the memorial service would be a healing thing for their family.

In the prison cell, Krystal and Babe disclosed everything they knew about Di to Adam. Adam realized Di would need an accomplice to pull off her scam from prison and instantly suspected Tad. Think again, suggested Krystal. "Who else would get off on sticking it to you, JR and Tad?" "Hayward!" gasped Adam. While Adam was dealing with Krystal's paperwork with the warden, Babe confided in Krystal about how terrible she feels about not having told the truth to Jamie. Adam returned and insisted that he be the one to deliver the "Di is an imposter" news to Tad et. al. The warden walked in and told Krystal she was free. Later, when David showed up at the jailhouse, he was stunned to learn that Krystal had been released — with the help of Adam Chandler.

Tad told Jamie about the memorial service for Kate and how it was okay with JR that he attend. Jamie was not pleased at the notion that he needed JR's permission to mourn his own sister. Tad told Jamie that he wanted to grab his chance to make things right with JR. They headed over to the Chandler mansion for the service for Kate. Tad delivered a eulogy to his lost daughter as Jamie, JR and Dixie looked on. JR then said a few heartfelt words of his own. Jamie went next, then it was Dixie's turn. She accepted a consoling hug from Tad after she spoke. Just then, Adam showed up with a victorious smirk, with Krystal and Babe right behind him. "I'm out, free and clear," Krystal told Tad. JR tried to make them leave, and Babe and Krystal thought that was a good idea, but Adam just couldn't wait. "This woman is not your mother," he told JR, "and I can prove it."

Ryan didn't take kindly to Zach's armchair psychological interpretation of his reasons for participating in the fight club. For a minute there, Zach seemed poised to drop the baby bomb on Ryan, but of course he didn't. Ryan ordered Zach to stay out of his life, then stormed out of Zach's office.

At the launch party, Kendall told Greenlee she'd serve as her birth coach. Greens was confident she didn't need Kendall's help, because Ryan would be there to coach her. Erica then spotted the girls and was overjoyed that they'd showed up. Erica was equally thrilled when Ryan arrived, but far less so when Zach materialized. Kendall fretted to her hubby about how delusional Greenlee is to think all will be well post-pregnancy. Erica summoned Kendall, Greenlee and Ryan to her side to thank them for coming.

Jack tried to calm Mimi, Derek and Reggie, who were disturbed over their inability to locate Danielle, who'd been missing all night. Meanwhile, Dani woke up next to Josh, who helpfully provided his name to the regretful teen who had just lost her virginity to him. Dani got dressed in a hurry, so Josh asked why she was acting like she was fleeing the scene of a crime. "I wasn't your first, was I?" he inquired. Dani denied it then shared her doomsday views about how love is a joke, pointing to how her parents only got married because her mom was pregnant. Josh tried to get Dani's cell number since he had to go to work, but she made an excuse. After Josh left, Dani broke down. Before long, Garret showed up and told Dani he was taking her home. Dani was defensive when Garret gently tried to get her to open up but he won her over when he agreed not to tell Mimi about finding her inside a shack that a young man had just exited. Back at Jack and Erica's, Mimi lamented what has become of her baby girl under Derek's supervision, to which he took great offense. Derek pinned the blame for Dani's agony on Mimi and her "Denzel wannabe" fiancé.... Reggie showed up at the shack and Garret gave them a moment alone. Reggie apologized to Dani for their argument and pledged to stand beside her, deepening her feelings of guilt.... When Dani came to the penthouse, she was read the riot act by her parents for staying out all night. "Back off!" barked Reggie. Mimi suspected Dani wasn't alone the previous night, which Reggie dismissed as impossible. Garret stepped in and helped calm things down. In the end, Mimi and Garret decided to stay in town for a while.

Tad thanked Dixie for talking JR into making him Little Adam's godfather and asked her if it would be okay for them to put together a memorial service for Kate, the baby they lost. She gave her assent. Erica visited JR at the Chandler mansion to discuss their scheme to split up Zach and Kendall. Erica was frustrated by JR's lack of progress. He explained that he'd been a bit distracted lately: His mother was alive. Erica then tore off to speak to Dixie. "Whoever did your work is an absolute artist!" praised La Kane as she took in Dixie's facial reconstruction, declaring it to be an improvement over the original. She then invited Dixie to appear on NEW BEGINNINGS. "Absolutely not," huffed Dixie. After Erica left, Tad asked JR to participate in the memorial service for Kate. JR sucked it up and agreed, even after Dixie stated that she wanted Jamie to be there. But JR and Tad agreed that forgetting what has happened between them is an impossibility.

Adam sat down for a chat with Krystal at the prison and told her about the deal Babe proposed: The Carey women proferred proof that Di is not Dixie, he'll get her out of jail. "Prove Dixie's a fake, and you're free," summarized Adam. Krystal refused to pony up the evidence until after Adam placed his call to the governor. But she might talk if Adam agreed to get JR off Babe's back, Krystal shrugged. Adam tried to play the "Dixie might steal Tad" angle to loosen Krystal's lips. When that failed, he pointed out that the imposter might do harm to Little Adam. Krystal began to spill the beans but Babe arrived and ordered her mom not to say another word. She then informed Adam that her offer was off the table. Adam walked out, so Babe and Krystal agreed to tell the truth even if they got nothing in return. Just then, Adam came back and dialed up the governor.

At the office, Josh told Erica that her family refused to participate in the splashy launch of her talk show. When Jack arrived, he explained that he would attend the event, just not on camera. Erica was further disheartened when she learned that Kendall, Ryan and Greenlee had also begged off.

Reggie came down on Sam for drinking a beer in front of Lily. Elsewhere at the party, Josh and Danielle flirted after bumping into each other. Josh stepped away to get Dani something to eat; Reggie tried to get Dani to leave with him so he could take Sam and Lily back to the park. She said she was having fun and would grab a ride from a pal. After they had a mini-argument and Reggie left, Dani turned her attention back to Josh.

As the fireworks went off, JR demanded that Babe reveal the proof she has that Di isn't Dixie. "Spit it out," encouraged Adam. Babe forestalled JR by invoking Dixie's dream that they all have a happy holiday. Adam then tried to convince JR he was simply trying to protect him by proving that "Dixie" is an imposter. JR took off to find Dixie; Babe and Adam then went another round. Adam warned he wouldn't get Krystal out of jail unless she delivered rock-solid evidence about Di being a con artist; she said she wouldn't pony up the info unless Krystal was standing on the other side of the bars.

Opal and Ruth prayed that locking Dixie and Tad in the pump house together would be a successful ploy to bring about a reconciliation. Inside the pump house, Tad declared to Dixie that he was getting married — to Krystal. Dixie asked if they could find a way to make peace. He claimed he was fine; she scoffed and expressed how deeply she wished things could be different. Her words made an impression on Tad, who sighed, "I'm a jerk." He apologized for wanting his Dixie back so much that he failed to listen when she said she'd changed and promised, "No more guilt, no more anger." In return, Tad requested that Dixie keep working on bringing out the good in JR and giving him all the love in the world. Tad and Dixie then revealed to one another that they still feel intense emotion for each other. Their close moment was interrupted by JR, who was looking for Dixie. After Tad left, Dixie told JR that it was over between her and Tad. "That's the way it has to be," she sighed. She then nudged JR again to drop his anger against Tad; JR refused. Back at the park, Tad made his mothers promise not to interfere anymore in his relationships and announced to the crowd that he had proposed to Krystal. "You can't do this!" protested Opal. Tad told the group to congratulate him or keep quiet. JR, working off an off-camera suggestion from his mom, then proferred an announcement of his own: He wanted Little Adam to be baptized, with the whole family in attendance. Babe thanked JR for being willing to include her. JR then dropped a bombshell: He wanted Dixie to be the boy's godmother, and as for his godfather? Tad. "I'd be honored," he said. "Sucks, huh?" gloated Babe to Adam, who finally agreed to get Krystal out of the slammer.

Mimi became distressed when Dani didn't come back to the park immediately after the fireworks. A comment from Derek made it dawn on Mimi that Dani overheard her and Livia discussing Dani's once-in-question paternity. Brooke then discovered her car keys missing. Derek and Jack frantically tried to summon their kids by cell phone. Jack was successful: He reached Reggie, who had returned to the park with Sam and Lily. After explaining that Dani had decided to stay behind at the party, Reggie revealed that he had caught Sam drinking — and that Sam had lifted Brooke's car keys. Brooke took Sam aside for a chat and, referencing the death of her own daughter at the hands of a drunk driver, made it perfectly plain to the boy that his behavior was not going to be tolerated. A sobered Sam promised that he understood the gravity of her words. Meanwhile, Derek and Livia took off to find Reggie; Mimi insisted on coming, too. Jack then explained to Lily why he and Reggie are concerned about her spending time with Sam. After his talk with Brooke, Sam offered a sincere apology to Jack about how he screwed up back at the beach. Jack then questioned Reggie about what had gone down with Dani. On the beach, Josh planted a kiss on Dani. Just then, her parents, Garret and Livia arrived. "Get me out of here," Dani begged. So Josh sneaked her away. Garret promised Mimi he'd help her find her daughter. Josh and Dani found refuge in a shack and Dani evaded Josh's questions about her age. They then picked up where they'd left off, their kisses growing more and more intense. Josh warned Dani he doesn't do the "whole falling in love thing"; she assured him that wasn't a problem. With that, they consummated their hour-long relationship.

Brooke, Livia, Tom, Derek, Reggie, Danielle, Jack, Sam and Lily gathered for a Fourth of July picnic in the park. The festive mood turned chilly when Mimi arrived with her fiancé, Garret. Derek chafed when Garret referred to Dani as his "new daughter." Livia took Mimi aside for a private chat; each woman accused the other of doing harm to Dani. When Livia made reference to the circumstances surrounding Dani's conception (Mimi hadn't been sure who the father was, Derek or Lucas), the ladies were unaware that Dani was listening nearby. A horrified Dani returned to the crowd and asked Reggie if they could take off. They got permission from Jack and Derek to watch the fireworks elsewhere and left. Garret made a good impression on Brooke and Jack, who let Sam and Lily go off to join Reggie and Dani. At the beach party, Reggie tried to get Dani to open up to him as something was clearly weighing on her, but she insisted nothing was wrong. He didn't buy it, especially when she began tossing back drinks, but she told him to lay off. When Sam and Lily showed up, she became nervous when she failed to spot Reggie and Dani. To make matters worse, Sam then popped open a beer. When Reggie spied Sam with the drink, he laid into the teen for jeopardizing his sister's safety. Dani, meanwhile, met the acquaintance of Josh... Back at the park, Brooke and Jack lectured the Fryes on the importance of working out their difference for Dani's sake.

Opal showed up at Tad's and hounded him into coming to the picnic, ostensibly to try to help bring about a reconciliation between JR and Jamie. Meanwhile, Adam taunted Di that he had proof she's not really Dixie. JR and Di called Adam's bluff; he said the proof would come in due time, courtesy of Babe. Scoffed JR, "She'd tell you Winifred is my mother if that'd help her." Adam's attitude further cemented JR's decision to get a new house for himself, Dixie and Little Adam. JR, Dixie and a reluctant Adam then headed off to the park, where Palmer, Opal and Joe had joined the other revelers. Tad then showed up as well. Opal and Ruth fretted as the Chandlers and Martins started trading insults. The women decided to trust in Dixie's ability to work a miracle. In an effort to work one of their own, Tad's moms lured Tad and Dixie, separately, to the pump house and locked them inside.... When Babe arrived at the park, JR confronted her about the evidence she has that will supposedly prove that Di isn't Dixie.

While Ryan and Greenlee shared a romantic cuddle at the boathouse, Kendall was surprised when Zach expressed a desire to watch the fireworks. They took a stroll and chowed on some hot dogs, but their good time was interrupted by what sounded like a violent confrontation between Ryan and Greenlee (really, they were just playfully arguing over her refusal to disclose the surprise she hinted at having in store for him). Kendall raced to protect Greenlee from Ryan's "wrath" and blurted out that Greenlee had no choice but to do what she'd done. Ryan was livid with Kendall for sticking her nose into his marriage yet again and demanded to know what she was referring to. Zach helped Kendall cover and the Slaters left. The Laverys then discussed their difference of opinion over the drugs David prescribed to Ryan; Ryan insisted he needed them. They settled their argument with a tender kiss. Kendall, meanwhile, lamented to Zach that she'd once again made an enemy of Greenlee, "up there with bad highlights and carbs." Zach advised Kendall to tell Greenlee she supports her no matter what, so that when Greens's scheme inevitably blows up in her face, she'll have someone to turn to.
