AMC Recaps Week of July 11, 2005Friday, July 15, 2005 Over at New Beginnings, Jack freaked when Erica told him exactly how Greens got pregnant. He was worried about his daughter. Amanda was there hoping to get a job from Josh. (And just when you think Amanda's wardrobe can't get any skimpier, you're wrong!) Plus, she wanted his help with Babe. The way she saw it, he should be with Babe and she should be with Jamie. He wanted no part of it though. Zach and Kendall stopped Ryan from hitting Greenlee. When Mr. Lavery found out Kendall had a part in all of it, he ripped her apart verbally and stopped himself from doing so physically. He ran to take one of his miracle pills, but Greenlee stopped him and told him that they were placebos. Regardless of what she thought, Ryan was convinced he was a monster. "I want to hurt you Greenlee," he spat. And to give her proof of what a monster he was, Ryan trashed the room and stormed out. He stole a motorcycle and sped off, with Greenlee, Zach and Kendall following behind him. The high-speed chase ended in disaster when Ryan drove off a cliff.
At the Chandler Mansion, everyone agreed to wait until Brooke and Joe returned to open all of the DNA results together. While waiting, Derek arrived. Adam wanted Di arrested. If she was a fake, Derek promised she'd serve the max. But that wasn't the case. Once Brooke, Aidan and Joe all opened their respective tests, Joe announced that enough points in the DNA test were matched: Di was Dixie. JR was elated about the news, but Tad walked out. He couldn't talk to her right now. Alone, David smugly told Dixie, "Well done." When she told him she didn't want to see him again, he said he had too much passion for her and couldn't let her go. Adam was still skeptical and chatted with Krystal. All the DNA tests proved was that she was a close blood relative of JR. "Dixie has a sister," he pointed out.
Thursday, July 14, 2005 Di also remained insistent with David that she was Dixie and the DNA test results would prove that, but he was still doubtful. When he said that it was written in the stars David and Dixie would be together forever, she bolted. David went inside to taunt Adam with a secret about Dixie, Di and DNA. The only way he'd give it up would be if JR would give Babe more time with the baby. Adam didn't bite, though. Meanwhile, Jamie was still fuming over Babe not telling him Di was a fake when JR walked in. "Looks like my brother is finally dumping the trash." Not exactly. Jamie tried signing off on his chance at Phoebe's millions, but JR tore up the paper. Jamie and Babe then made up with a very passionate kiss that Tad happened to walk in on. When Babe asked where Krystal was, Tad informed her the wedding was off. By the end of the episode, everyone was inside the Chandler Mansion again when the doorbell rang. Aidan had the results of the DNA test. "Tell me I didn't hear you right," Ryan begged of the news of Greenlee's pregnancy. She assured him it wasn't a joke. She was having a baby. Meanwhile, Kendall and Zach watched them on the security cameras (Ew! What if they started watching just a few moments earlier when the duo was having sex?!). They hoped to witness Ryan reaching out to Greenlee and being happy, but it didn't happen. Once Greenlee explained she stole Ryan's sperm from the clinic, Ryan was in a state of shock. Greenlee grinned about her hopes for the future with their baby, but Ryan remained stoic. When Kendall and Zach witnessed Greenlee placing Ryan's hand on her stomach, Kendall grabbed her own hubby's hand in excitement. (Which took Zach by surprise.) Then all hell broke loose. Once it sunk in, Ryan was furious. "You have to terminate the pregnancy." Now it was Greenlee's turn to be in shock. When she went on and on about how she wasn't going to give up on him, he exploded. "SHUT UP!" he screamed and then grabbed his wife and threatened to hit her if she uttered one more word.
Wednesday, July 13, 2005 Ryan and Greenlee declared their love for one another. When Ryan asked for his surprise, he thought he had it figured out. How could she had known about the Northern Lights? (He's going to wish that was the real surprise!) The two watched the sky in awe and then left the gazebo. Kendall and Zach made their way to the gazebo, and though they didn't see Ryan or Greens, they saw the Northern Lights as well. Kendall thought it was a sign of hope, maybe she was passed what happened last year. Mr. and Mrs. Cambias went on to discuss their worries about Ryan's reaction to Greenlee's news. Amanda told Jamie that it was his fault she was in love with him. He was unlike any guy she'd ever met before. He promised her he wasn't the only good guy in the world. "There are a lot more JRs out there on the market than Jamies," she begged to differ. Jamie told her no one was perfect, not even him or Babe. Amanda apologized for telling him of her love, but he said it meant a lot that she owned up to it. Inside the Chandler Mansion, JR and Adam watched as Babe tore David apart. Later, when David started taunting JR about his history with Dixie, JR demanded Adam get him out of there. As soon as JR and Babe were alone, JR wanted to know what was going on. "Are you trying to convince me you've reformed or something?!" She looked him in the eyes and apologized for telling him their son was dead. She truly hoped that Di was Dixie, because maybe it would take some of his pain away. We interrupt this recap to let you know that unfortunately the shuttle Discovery launch has been delayed. And now, back to your regularly scheduled recap. Now David was outside with Di, and Tad was inside with Krystal. David told Di that the night's sky was nature's way of telling her she was making the biggest mistake of her life. He could already see Tad burning her at the stake for pretending to be Dixie and he told her he was her last (and only) hope. When Di insisted she was Dixie, David's eyes lit up. "Holy cow! I just figured it out," he exclaimed. Meanwhile, Tad was wondering if Krystal was avoiding him. Not only was she avoiding him, but she was backing out of the marriage proposal. She told him there would be no marriage between them — ever. At the end of episode, Babe opened the door to see Jamie standing in front of her. And after making love, Greens decided Ryan was ready for his surprise. She told him she loved him, and then dropped the bomb: She was preggers.
Tuesday, July 12, 2005 Aidan was surprised to find Amanda (who had broken into his office). He was quick to shoot down her request to work with him. After failing to get the job, Amanda returned to Jamie's. He let her in, but she quickly noticed his bad mood and questioned him about it which only made him angrier. Later, Amanda had a fantasy where she and Jamie were together. He was a doctor and they were rich and very happy. The kicker was that JR was their butler! At the end of the episode (no longer in a fantasy), Amanda shocked Jamie by admitting she thought she was falling in love with him. Kendall and Zach set up the VIP suite for Ryan and Greenlee. The two lovebirds made a toast to each other, but as soon as Ryan's back was turned, Greens poured her champagne out. Downstairs, Zach tried to cheer Kendall up and he indeed managed to make her smile. When Ryan and Greenlee joined them, Greens promised her best friend things were going well so far. Greenlee left with Ryan, and Mr. and Mrs. Cambias continued to banter back and forth. Kendall said he had problems with communication and that was the key to a good marriage. Nada. Zach responded that "The key to a decent marriage is saying 'Yes, dear' and 'I'm sorry' six times a day." Ryan took Greenlee to the gazebo. At first she didn't want to be there (you know, with him being shot there and all) but he explained he needed to face his past. He was amazed that the ghosts were gone and they both danced with optimism about the future. When he announced he was ready for his surprise, she smiled, "Yes, I think you are."
Monday, July 11, 2005 Erica was about to announce Greenlee's pregnancy, but Greens pulled a fast one. She announced to everyone at the New Beginnings party that Erica was pregnant. Chaos erupted. Ryan stormed out, Lily had a 'red' attack and Reggie punched Josh. Erica quickly stopped the pandemonium and announced she wasn't preggers. She promised it was only sign of what was to come on her show — unexpected things. Later, after things had calmed down, Erica told Josh she could introduce him to a lady friend: her daughter. Reggie confronted Dani about Josh, but before she could say anything Garret came in wanting to talk to Dani. Reggie left and Garret advised Dani not to tell Reggie that she slept with Josh and assured he was there if she needed someone to talk to. Alone with Kendall, Greenlee confided that she was worried about telling Ryan she was pregnant. She didn't know if she could find the perfect moment. Kendall proposed that she and Zach set something up at the casino for them. She said that Ryan could say goodbye to his past (Jonathan shot him there) and hello to the future (his baby). A grateful Greenlee agreed and embraced her best friend before heading home. Back at the house, she found her husband and silently hugged him. He told her he thought the pills were working and she told him that tonight was the night for that surprise she'd be promising him. (And what a surprise it will be considered the Papa-to-be had a vasectomy!)
