Kendall was disgusted reading baby books, but thankfully her hubby arrived to get her mind off of things. He had champagne and wanted to toast her baby-to-be. Kendall took the (very) expensive bottle and thew it outside, smashing it to pieces. "I know what you are up to, and it won't work," she warned. She knew he could never be on her side, but he assured her he was. "My feelings for you have changed," he admitted. He no longer thought she was a ditz, he said with a grin. They bonded and she finally believed he was okay with her carrying Greenlee's baby.
While Babe was searching for Di's letter in her bedroom (Tad and Julia were still in the tunnels), JR caught her. He demanded to know why she was there and she explained she wanted to help her son get settled and maybe talk to Dixie about getting more time with Little Adam. JR grabbed her by the arm and escorted her out of Di's room, which prompted Tad to leave the tunnels and enter the room. (Remind anyone else of musical chairs?) Tad searched through Di's drawers and found a letter which instructed: Please open in the event of my death or disappearance. Meanwhile, Di confided to Del that she knew she should do the right thing and help Julia, but she would lose everything. Del advised her again to keep quiet. When she went back to her room, she found Tad on her bed, reading the love letter she wrote him (which said nothing about who the Dragon was). Yet again, he begged her to tell him who it was — all while Julia listened from the tunnels.
Garret presented Mimi with a beautiful necklace (which Dani thought Garret intended for her) as a wedding present and the duo went off the celebrate. Meanwhile, Reggie showed up to see Dani. He wanted to make sure she was okay. Too bad Josh showed up seconds later, which ran Reggie off. Dani still didn't think she could ruin her mom's happiness and admit Garret's recent behavior.
At SOS, Amanda did her best to flirt with Aidan, but had a rude awakening when Aidan greeted a blonde with a kiss. When Mimi and Garret walked in, Kirsten (the blonde) ran off. Mimi ran after her and then berated Aidan for interfering with her territory on the Julia case. Aidan played dumb, and Garret lured Mimi back into SOS. After toasting to Mimi, Garret left SOS with his bride-to-be and took her home. After dropping off Mimi, Garret whipped out his camera phone and looked at photos he had stored of Mimi ... and then Dani. Back at SOS, Amanda went to leave, too, but Aidan rushed outside when she screamed. Kirsten's body was laying in front of her.

Reggie arrived to see Erica's debut of New Beginnings just in time for Erica to roll clips of her interviewing New York Yankee Al Leiter, former NY mayor David Dinkins, New York Giants' Tiki Barber and New York Knicks' Allan Houston. Yup, Erica was at Yankee Stadium pitching in her Manolos. The next segment showed a distressed Erica calling 311 because she couldn't find her agenda. (Nope, not kidding you.) While the operator at 311 was busy searching, Erica had a stroll in Battery Park with former NYC mayor Edward Koch. After Erica visited newborn babies at a hospital, she was pleased to find 311 located her agenda. Off to Gracie Mansion (and she must have changed clothes in the cab) she went to share her good news with current mayor Michael Bloomberg. With that, the premiere of NEW BEGINNINGS was over. Apparently the internet labeled it an instant success, and Erica, Jack, Reggie, Lily and company celebrated. There wasn't a new beginning for Dani and Reggie though, who fought again.
Zach was irate over Kendall and Greenlee's plan. He suggested Greenlee get another surrogate, but Kendall said no way and the ladies left to go get Greenlee's eggs harvested. At the clinic, Greenlee was extremely nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Madden calmed her nerves (thanks to some heavy duty medication!). The procedure was quickly over and Dr. Madden assured the gals it was successful. Kendall took her BFF home and the phone immediately rang. Kendall answered and it was Greenlee's mom. Kendall yelled at Mary for her recent absence, but when Greens got on the phone, she told her mom she was glad she called and missed her. They arranged to see each other the next time Mary was in the states. Kendall was livid, but Greens explained she saw herself in Mary's shoes. She wanted to be a better mom than her own. Then Greenlee admitted she loved Ryan when she married him, but Kendall promised that didn't change anything for her.
Zach met Myrtle for drinks and confided that Kendall was planning on having Ryan and Greenlee's baby. Myrtle wanted to know why he was so against it. He explained he couldn't tell her or Kendall and Greenlee the real reason. "Tell them the truth, or stand behind them," advised Myrtle.
At the hospital, Erin and Ryan opened up to each other. Too bad it was interrupted when someone spotted Ryan and exclaimed, "I thought you were dead?!" Apparently it was a blast from the past who Ryan scammed and he threatened to expose that Ryan was still living. Erin and Ryan one-upped the con-artist and came to the conclusion he was selling fraudulent insurance at the hospital. They threatened to expose him, so he wisely decided to keep quite about Ryan being alive. Whew.

Kendall insisted to Zach that she'd be able to give the baby to Greenlee once it's born. Greens listened in as Zach argued that at some point during her pregnancy, Kendall would begin to wish the baby was her own. "Zach's right," said Greenlee as she made her presence known. Kendall was adamant that she was prepared to give up the baby once it was born, and Greens made it clear that Kendall would play a major role in the baby's life.
Ryan and Erin sweated out the wait while Jonathan was undergoing the delicate surgery to remove his tumor. Erin asked Ryan to tell her all about Greenlee, then disclosed to her brother that she doesn't know what it's like to be in love or to have someone be in love with her. Ryan told Erin that his relationship with Greenlee was perfect, that he never once imagined he'd hurt her. The pensive sibs pondered the significance of Jon's brain turmor, which suggests there is no Lavery curse after all.
Erica's new talk show, NEW BEGINNINGS, had its splashy premiere episode, replete with an official NASDAQ launch as La Kane took New York City by storm. After a private sit-down with former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani and a loving gaze from Jack, Erica threw to commercial. Camera crews then trailed Erica to Grand Central Terminal, where she met the landmark's chief architect, and to Moo Roo, a jewelry and accessories boutique. And to an iced tea with Simon Doonan. Next, it was up to Harlem, to meet up with Doug E. Fresh at Sylvia's, a famous soul food eatery. Then it was off to the set of LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY (though Kelly was nowhere to be found). Then to meet the ladies of THE VIEW (though Barbara was nowhere to be found). Next, Erica hit a Clay Aiken performance at Bryant Park (though Digest editors, who work two blocks away, were nowhere to be found). She then traipsed over to meet the stars of the Broadway musical All Shook Up, who performed live in the NEW BEGINNINGS studio.

At the hospital, "Dixie" was pleased to see that JR had allowed Babe to stay overnight with Little Adam. When JR ordered Babe to go freshen up to give "Dixie" time with Little Adam, she meandered into the hallway, where Zach grabbed her and tried to put her to work digging up clues on Di's true identity by scouring the Chandler mansion for the letter "Dixie" wrote. Babe wasn't into the idea, what with the crisis her son had just survived. When JR and "Dixie" were alerted to Zach and Babe's heated discussion, Slater took off. Babe told JR and "Dixie" that Zach wanted info on Di Kirby. This panicked Di, who downplayed her anxiety. JR then resumed his firm stance toward Babe and told her that it was back to three hours of supervised visitation a week.
Kendall had a nightmare about Zach exposing her pregnancy plans to Erica on NEW BEGINNINGS; she was relieved when Greenlee roused her awake, but stressed to her pal that they had to stop Zach from spilling the beans. Greens sniffed that Zach was probably too preoccupied by the Julia situation to care. Still, the gals rushed to the TV studio. There, Erica was wracked with nerves on the occasion of her show's first episode, but Jack arrived and delivered a champion pep talk to his beloved. Erica was further soothed when Lily joined in to deliver a gift bag filled with treats, followed by Kendall and Greenlee, who were also bearing presents. Kendall and Greenlee were about to make a quick exit to join Dr. Madden for an egg-harvesting appointment when Zach showed up and seemed on the verge of telling Erica all about the surrogacy scheme. Erica was called away for a moment, giving Kendall and Greenlee the chance to try to talk Zach out of unzipping his lips. Slater made another appeal to Kendall and Greenlee not to go proceed with the baby idea, insisting they were being selfish, but the women stood their ground. To deprive Zach of the chance to deliver the news to Erica, Kendall told her mom she had a big announcement to make. But Zach covered for her by claiming that a new wing was being added to the Miranda Montgomery Center in Ryan's name. Kendall was grateful for Zach's assistance. Zach then speculated that Kendall would grow to love the baby she was carrying and be unable to give it up. He asked her if she really thought she was going to be able to do to this child what Erica did to her.
Tad grumbled to Aidan about his desire to kill Zach, then got an earful from Devane when he admitted that he broke Julia's trust by concealing that "Di Kirby" and "Dixie" are one and the same. When Tad filled in his partner about Zach kidnapping "Dixie" and about the letter "Dixie" claimed to have written (which exposes the Dragon's identity), he assured Aidan that the letter was just a bluff, but Aidan wasn't nearly so sure and wondered why Tad wasn't tearing up Pine Valley trying to find it. Although Tad defended his ex-wife's honor, Aidan's argument clearly affected him...
At the Chandler manse, "Dixie" tried again to get JR to soften on the subject of Babe, but he wasn't in the mood for another conversation about his former wife, so he switched the topic to Tad. "Dixie" sighed that she didn't think it was going to work out between them. JR told his "mom" that regardless, he was yanking his nose out of her business from here on out. She was impressed that he was willing to give his blessing to whatever relationship she and Tad might create.
At the Canadian hospital, Ryan fretted to Erin about how he was going to possibly break the news to Jonathan that all along, it was a brain tumor that had been causing his criminal behavior and other symptoms (e.g., the voices in his head). The siblings braced themselves and entered Jon's room to explain his prognosis, including the fact that the surgery could kill him. In a lucid moment, Jon gave his assent to the operation after reassuring words from Ryan. "I want to be good again," he told Ryan tearfully. By the time Jon was wheeled away to begin surgery, his lucidity had waned and he screamed after Ryan that this was all his (Ryan's) fault.
Babe, Tad and Julia separately entered the secret passageways beneath the Chandler mansion in search of "Dixie's" letter. All three were unaware that they weren't alone.

Julia confronted "Di Kirby" for info on the Dragon. Tad then broke the news to Julia that Di is Dixie. Julia was floored. And outraged, as she felt Tad had betrayed her. Julia questioned "Dixie," who confirmed that she'd dated Kevin but insisted she knew nothing about the Dragon. Julia wasn't buying it. After she left, Di ripped into Tad for not telling her about Julia; he responded that she's become difficult to trust. The two acknowledged that they're falling in love all over again, but she still wouldn't cop to knowing more about the Dragon than she's let on. "Dixie" took offense when Tad asked her to keep quiet about Julia's presence at the Martin house and stormed off. When Tad went upstairs, Julia was missing.
There was an awkward moment at the hospital when JR and Babe walked in on Jamie tending to Little Adam. Jamie berated JR for being so neglectful of his baby; Babe defended her ex-hubby. Jamie left after one last harsh comment to Babe. JR asked why she didn't go after him; she then issued another heartfelt apology to him for having made him believe their son had been killed in that helicopter crash. Babe dozed off, then was woken up by a nightmare. JR told Babe she could spend time with their son tonight; she was grateful.... Jamie denied to Joe that the Babe situation is getting to him.... Jamie watched through the window as JR and Babe gazed lovingly at their son.
Jonathan's doc informed Ryan and Erin that Jonathan doesn't suffer from a psychiatric disorder; he actually has a brain tumor that has been causing his psychotic behavior. "It's not his fault!" gasped Ryan. The doc further explained that the tumor was likely caused by a blow to his head (i.e., Patrick's abuse), then elaborated the risks of removing the tumor. Ryan and Erin were faced with a difficult decision: Have him undergo life-threatening surgery, or allow the tumor to slowly kill him? Ryan was also struck by the realization that Greenlee was right: Lavery isn't destiny. The sibs then decided to authorize the operation for Jon.
Josh listened in while Garret gave another one of his slyly creepy pep talks to Danielle. When she accused him of trying to kiss her, Garret asked Dani if she wanted him to, then kissed her on the forehead. Garret left, at which point Josh told a glum Dani that Garret was definitely coming on to her. Dani sighed that Mimi would flip if she told her what was going on. Mimi then entered. Dani was on the verge of 'fessing up when Derek walked in as well. When Derek sang Garret's praises, Dani kept her mouth shut.
Kendall made it clear to Zach that he couldn't stop her from becoming the surrogate mother to Greenlee and Ryan's baby. Zach scoffed when Kendall accused him of being jealous. When Zach accused Greenlee of taking advantage of Kendall, Hart warned Zach not to take it any further. When she threatened him with divorce, he left. Kendall urged Greens not to fret about Zach.
