Josh announced to Greg that he knows the secret Greg is afraid Erica will discover. Greg denied having such a secret, but Josh insisted that he now knew everything. Greg paled and said he never wanted Josh to find out, but breathed a sigh of relief when he realized that although Josh knows his Kendall secret, he doesn't know the secret Greg thought he was referring to.

In Little Adam's nursery, Babe and Krystal discussed her decision to take the fall for JR's accident. Downstairs, Adam blasted JR for causing the accident, but he denied having been the driver and fought off the flashes of memory he began to have. Adam warned JR that he wasn't going to let him take the baby out of the country. JR responded that Adam was as dead to him as his mother. When Adam swore that he didn't need anyone, an eavesdropping Krystal revealed herself and reminded JR that he needed Babe, without whom he'd be rotting in a jail cell. Babe said she was going to rescind her confession; JR shrugged and told her to go ahead. But when he took another swig from his flask, he had a flashback confirming his culpability in the accident. Derek arrived to interrogate Babe; she stuck to her original story. Derek revealed that the roadside bar had caught on fire the previous night and when she told him that Amanda had been in the same room as the space heater — and that they'd had a fight — Derek's eyebrows rose. He wanted to take her down to the station for questioning, but JR wouldn't allow it. Derek demanded to know why.

Erica and Tad met up at BJ's; she wanted to hire him to investigate Greg. Tad mentioned that he'd recently been taken in by a talented user; Di, their server, identified herself as the manipulator in question. Di told Erica who she really is and that she genuinely loves Tad. "I'll have the oatmeal," responded La Kane. After Di left, Tad and Erica resumed their business conversation and Tad took the case. Erica revealed to Tad that Greg gives her a creepy feeling of déjà vu. After Erica left, Di dumped Tad's breakfast on Martin's lap. Di was immediately fired by her manager, and Tad upped the ante by pouring oatmeal onto her head. Di started cracking up; Tad tried his best to maintain a facade of non-amusement.

Jack came to see Jonathan in his jail cell and gravely informed him that his luck had run out. "I will not rest until I see you on death row," he said. Livia showed up, furious that Jack had sneaked in to see her client. Jack tried to talk Livia out of defending Jon. Ryan arrived and assured an hysterical Jonathan that Jack would have to shoot him before he'd let him hurt Jon.

Erica ran into Greg at the hospital and apologized to him for coming down on him so hard about the surrogacy. He asked her if she intended to stop trying to dig up dirt on him. He believed her when she said yes.

In the hospital room his wife was sharing with Jonathan, Ryan kissed Greenlee awake and told her that Jon was in police custody. "What happens next with you? With me?" Ryan asked. Kendall, who was secretly awake as well, listened as the Laverys discussed Kendall carrying their child. Greens explained to Ryan how the surrogacy came about; he told her that he wanted to raise the baby with her. After she assured him that she knew he would never hurt their child, he left so she could get some rest. Kendall urged Greenlee to recognize that the old Ryan is back. "Let him love you," she implored. "Back off, Cupid," sighed Greens, insisting it wasn't that easy. Greg entered to take Kendall in for prenatal testing.... Josh brought flowers into Kendall and Greenlee's room and asked Greens if she minded if he stayed and chatted with her.

At the hospital, Greenlee went on alert when Greg wanted to run some tests to determine if the baby Kendall is carrying has congenital birth defects, since neither she nor Ryan have such a history in their families — and her curiosity deepened when Kendall insisted that the procedure be done. Erica burst in as Greg was leaving and reported to the gals that she'd told Jack about the pregnancy. She urged Greens to sit down with Ryan and make serious plans about their future, and the future of their child.... Erica ran into Greg in the hallway while he was wearing a surgical mask, and seeing him that way sparked an unusual reaction in her.... Greenlee asked Kendall what she and Greg are hiding from her.

Ryan, Erin and Julia took off to find Sam and Jonathan. Meanwhile, in the woods, Sam brandished a gun at Jonathan and ordered him to his knees. Just then, Julia, Ryan and Erin arrived. Julia screamed, "Sam, no!" and reminded her nephew that this is not how Edmund would want Sam to handle things. When Julia told Sam that she killed Garret and is haunted by it, Sam finally dropped the gun. Erin threw her arms around Jonathan.

Josh told Hazel he needed access to Greg's files to stop Erica from ruining his dad's career. Hazel wasn't biting, so Josh broke into the files once the office was closed. "No friggin' way," was his response to the contents of Kendall's file.

At the Chandler manse, Babe told Krystal about taking the fall for JR's drunk-driving accident. Krystal warned that unless JR remembers that he was responsible, she won't get his gratitude. Krystal dragged Adam downstairs and told him what Babe had done for his son. He scoffed at first but a whiff of JR's breath confirmed that his son had done some heavy drinking. He also called his pilot, who corroborated Babe and Krystal's tale about JR having been on the verge of flying himself and Little Adam out of the country.

Amanda, who couldn't remember the details of the accident, asked Jamie who put her in the hospital. Jamie told her the cops were still investigating. Amanda begged Jamie not to call her mom, then apologized for her various and sundry misdeeds against him.

At the hospital, Babe insisted to Jamie that she wasn't covering for JR but had in fact been driving the car. After Jamie left, JR mocked Babe for mowing down Amanda; Babe shot back that he was actually responsible. JR genuinely didn't remember and scoffed at her claim. Back at the Chandler mansion, Babe pleaded with JR to remember that he'd been behind the wheel. After downing more scotch, he passed out in an armchair. Once he was unconscious, Babe swore there was no way JR was taking her baby away. Krystal came in and assured Babe that they would think of something.

Zach railed at Ryan for bringing Jonathan back to town and threatened to kill Ryan if Kendall didn't pull through. Ryan and Greenlee warned Zach that they wouldn't let him hurt Kendall. Anita entered and reported to the group that Kendall and the baby were both in good shape. Zach then slipped into a still-unconscious Kendall's room and, placing his hand on hers, confessed that he'd fallen in love with her. "I wasn't supposed to feel this way about someone ever again," he sighed. He kissed Kendall's forehead, then left. Anita then wheeled Greenlee in to visit with Kendall, who came to and was surprised to find Greenlee there, not Zach. Greenlee fibbed that Zach hadn't been to see her.

Lily stopped Jack from calling the police to alert them to Jonathan's return, reporting to her dad that Jon says he's changed. Lily added that Jon had undergone brain surgery to make him normal, and asked her dad if the same was possible for her. Jack said no, but reminded Lily that she's perfect just the way she is. Reggie and Aidan entered and learned that Jon had been to the penthouse.

Julia caught Sam pocketing the gun from the Wildwind safe; he covered. Sam told Julia he missed Edmund too much to move back to Wildwind.... Julia reluctantly agreed to let Del stay at the mansion. Julia and Di then compared notes and laughed after realizing they'd both thrown themselves at Zach. The ladies also discussed the lingering psychological effects of Garret's reign of terror. Del interrupted them after hearing on the police scanner that Jonathan is back in town. Julia realized Sam must have pilfered the gun and gone after his dad's killer.

At the Lavery penthouse, Erica was on guard as Jonathan gushed to her about what a fan he is of NEW BEGINNINGS and told her she's pretty. Jon asked Erica if she could give him a new beginning. When Erica learned of Jon's brain surgery, she realized he wasn't a threat and extended her sympathy to him. Erica tucked Jon in, then called Ryan to tell him where he could find his brother. Erica agreed to Jon's request that she stay until Ryan returned home. Aidan then burst in and tackled Jonathan against Erica's protests. A petrified Jon got free and ran off, with Aidan in hot pursuit. Ryan and Erin showed up, but Jon was long gone. Julia tore in and berated Ryan for not telling her Jonathan was alive. She also warned him that her nephew was after Jon.

A still-drunk JR corroborated Babe's claim that she was driving the car that struck Amanda. Derek didn't buy it. Babe tried to shush JR when he came close to contradicting her tale. At the hospital, Amanda received the best possible medical care — from Jamie and Anita.... After Amanda was rushed to surgery, Jamie watched as Derek tried to extract a statement that made sense from JR. Babe continued to insist that she was behind the wheel and sober at the time of the accident. Derek took JR aside to interview him privately. Babe tried to go after them, but Jamie stopped her. "Your lying sucks," he told her. "You weren't driving the car."

Aidan reeled from the realization that Jonathan is still alive. Erin didn't take kindly to Aidan's nasty words about her brother and stopped him when he tried to alert the cops. Erin explained to Aidan that a brain tumor had caused Jonathan's criminal behavior; Aidan wasn't that sympathetic and called 911.... Later, Aidan, who seemed to have sustained a slight head injury, grumbled, "Bloody Laverys."

Jack and Erica bickered about which of their daughters was to blame for the fact that Kendall is pregnant with Greenlee and Ryan's baby. Jack was livid with Erica for keeping the secret, but she reminded him that the baby will be born whether he likes it or not.

Lily recoiled in terror from Jonathan when he showed up on her doorstop. "I won't hurt you!" he cried. Lily was besieged by flashbacks of Jonathan holding her hostage in the cave. Jonathan explained that his head had been fixed and Lily calmed down for a moment, but when he tried to touch her, she panicked. Jonathan took off. Sam found Lily quaking with fear on the floor; she told him Jonathan was alive. Sam begged Lily to tell him where his dad's killer went, then called Jack to alert him to Lily's episode.... Sam took a gun out of the safe at Wildwind.

As the fire continued to rage, Ryan was speechless in the wake of Greenlee's revelation that Kendall is carrying their child. Greenlee insisted that Ryan take Kendall out of the building before returning for her; he complied. Once both women were safe, they were taken to the hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation. Greenlee commanded the medics to summon Dr. Madden to tend to Kendall. "Make their baby okay," Kendall pleaded with Greg.... Ryan and Greenlee shared a tender moment and Ryan asked Greens to help him understand the whole Kendall-is-carrying-our-baby thing. She explained how that came to be, and when she was done, Ryan assured Greenlee that he still wasn't going anywhere, even though it was a lot to process.... Erin called Ryan to warn him that Aidan knew about Jon.

Zach and Di broke from their kiss, agreeing it wasn't really what they wanted. They parted amicably after Di turned down Zach's offer of a ride home. Zach then got a call on his cell phone from Anita, who let him know that Kendall had been in a fire and was en route to the hospital. Zach tore off. Del joined Di on the beach and offered to leave town with her, but she was committed to staying in Pine Valley.

Kendall cried out for Zach, who was in the corridor getting an update on Kendall from Anita.... Ryan was filling in Greenlee about Jonathan being missing when Zach entered her hospital room. "You gotta be kidding me," he said, taking Ryan to task for bringing Jonathan back to town.

Lily told Jack that Jonathan is back.... Erica opened the door to Greenlee's penthouse, expecting to find Greenlee. Instead, she found Jonathan.

A panicked Babe ordered JR out of the car and informed him that he just struck Amanda. He just stood there laughing and drinking as she tried to get him to call 911. Amanda stopped breathing, so Babe put her CPR skills to good use. "Show's over!" JR slurred to a barely-alive Amanda. Police and paramedics then arrived and tried to test JR's blood alcohol levels; he was hostile and wouldn't allow it. Derek showed up and ordered JR to be handcuffed. As JR barked insults and threats at Derek, Babe told the cops to let JR go. "I was driving the car," she announced.

At the Pine Cone, Erin tried to hire Aidan to find her brother, but her unwillingness to provide many details to aid him in the effort made him suspicious, as did the fact that she seemed familiar to him. Finally, Aidan told Erin that he knew who she was but said he wouldn't help her find her brother (it was Ryan she was trying to find, he assumed). When Aidan trash-talked Jonathan to Erin, she tried to throw him out. But before he left, Aidan spotted the legal papers Livia had left behind. Aidan reeled from the realization that Jonathan is alive.

Lily and Erica questioned Jack about what happened to his hand. Erica deduced that he'd had a confrontation with Ryan, which led to a heated argument between the spouses. Jack commanded Erica not to go to Ryan; she demanded that he unhand her. Jack apologized.

An unconscious Ryan was discovered by Simone. He came to and Simone nearly revealed the baby news, assuming he already knew. Jack and Erica showed up, but by then, the apartment was empty. Erica made a comment about Ryan and Greenlee needing to reconcile for Kendall's sake, so Jack begged her to come clean about what she knows. Erica divulged that Kendall is having Ryan and Greenlee's baby.

Kendall and Greenlee frantically tried to put out the fire at the roadside bar. Greenlee stubbornly refused to leave with Kendall and became trapped under a beam. As the fire worsened, Greenlee stated the obvious: "We are so screwed." She demanded that Kendall leave her there because of the baby: "Go!" Kendall refused.... Ryan tore into the bar, determined to save the ladies. "Take Kendall!" begged Greenlee. "It's got to be all of us!" countered Kendall. To inspire Ryan to act in accordance with her wishes, Greenlee blurted out to Ryan that he had to save Kendall first because she's carrying their child.

Zach came across Di and she asked him for advice about whether she should give up and walk away. "Who stays when no one wants them?" she sighed. Zach could tell there was a particular nobody on her mind (that'd be Tad) — and Di sensed that he, too, was attached to someone who didn't want him (that'd be Kendall). Somewhat reluctantly, Zach started opening up about his feelings for his wife, describing her as an incredible woman. "She doesn't love me," Zach insisted. Di speculated that if he told her how he feels, Kendall might melt in his arms. The air grew chilly, so Zach tried to help Di get warm and planted a kiss on her forehead ... then her lips.

Lily opened the door at Jack's loft when someone knocked. It was Jonathan. "Hi, Lily!" he chirped as he waved to the terrified girl.
