AMC Recaps Week of Nov. 14, 2005Friday, November 18, 2005 Dr. Madden informed Kendall and Greenlee that their baby boy was perfectly healthy. But Greenlee quickly noticed curious looks between Kendall and Greg and was bothered. Greens became even more disturbed when Greg wouldn’t hand over the results for her to see, then she overheard a conversation between Kendall and the good doc where Greg said, “She need never know.” As soon as David heard about the fire, he rushed to the hospital. Once alone, Greenlee sought help from David to find out what Kendall and Greg were keeping from her. He got the test results for Greenlee and at the end of the episode, Greens confronted her best friend about what they said. JR discussed his confusion about Babe with Tad. He wanted Tad to come to Thanksgiving dinner as well and use his excellent PI skills to observe what she was up to. After Tad agreed, both men were shocked when Di visited. JR surprisingly invited her in. And the surprises didn't stop there: He invited her to Thanksgiving dinner also.
Janet called Amanda to make sure that she didn't want her in Pine Valley. Amanda assured her she was okay and then hung up as Babe came in. Babe apologized for hitting Amanda, but Amanda yelled for help, claiming that Babe was trying to kill her. Then the claws came out. "You know how I can tell you are feeling better?" Babe asked. "You are as big a b---- as ever." Derek came in and though he couldn’t arrest Babe, he was furious with her because he was convinced she was lying. Unfortunately for Babe, by the end of the episode she took the hospital stairs — which Amanda watched her do — and seconds later she went tumbling down them.
Thursday, November 17, 2005 Crazy Janet was shocked Babe told her she was the driver of the car that hit Amanda. Krystal, Babe and Janet had a little discussion about how Babe wasn’t the cause of Jamie and Amanda’s problems. JR came back and was astonished and furious to find Janet sitting in his living room. As soon as he brought up the fact the she, you know, killed his uncle, she fled to catch her plane. When Babe and JR were alone together, he invited her to Thanksgiving. To show her appreciation, she kissed his cheek and accepted. Today’s episode was a must-watch for Zach and Kendall fans. Once Zach arrived at her bedside, Kendall tormented him about not bringing flowers. To make up for the flowers, which were cliché, he gave her a foot rub, which Kendall very much enjoyed. “The only physical pleasure I’ve ever given my wife,” he quipped. Then Kendall brought up his previous visit; he was surprised she knew since he thought she was sleeping. They both continued to play games with each other, Kendall trying to get Zach to repeat all he said, and Zach not about to admit he said he loved her. Then Zach announced he had good news: “I’m not going to stand in the way of your happiness. I’m giving you your divorce.” The look on Kendall’s face spoke volumes when he said, “You don’t need a loveless marriage to tie you down.” He kissed her forehead and walked out. Ryan scooped Greenlee up in his arms and took her out of the hospital and to the boat house. While looking at the stars, Ryan managed to make Greenlee laugh with his bad jokes. The laughter stopped when Jonathan was brought up and the possibility of reconciliation. “You and our baby will be first,” Ryan promised. He told Greens he had contacted a therapist. He wanted to get through his problems, for their child’s sake. It looked like their might be hope for Greenlee and Ryan at the end of the episode when Ryan took a smiling Greenlee back to the hospital and tucked her in. Kendall feigned sleep.
Wednesday, November 16, 2005 While Greenlee chatted about baby names, Kendall sat in bed silent. After Greens went over to see what was wrong, Kendall rolled over and said: “I lied to you Greenlee.” She revealed to her best gal pal that she loved Zach. Thanks to Anita, Kendall found out Zach came the night before and Greenlee kept it from her. She was furious, then she remembered what she thought was her dream. “I think he said he loved me...” When Kendall went to call Zach to see if it was true, Greenlee grabbed the phone from her hand. “But out,” Kendall demanded. Greenlee said she couldn’t watch her get hurt and left. By the next scene Zach was with Kendall. And in the hallway, Greenlee folded in pain, but lucky (or would that be unlucky?) for her Ryan was there to help. Babe’s kisses clearly affected JR. “I loved you and you betrayed me,” he opened up, letting out his past hurt. When he went after alcohol to numb his pain, she used Little Adam to get him to stop. It worked this time and JR promised to keep Little A in Pine Valley. When he left, Krystal entered and Babe grinned, “It’s happening. JR is responding. God help me, he’s starting to want me again.” Babe promised her worried mom she wasn’t falling for her ex. She knew what she was doing. After leaving the Chandler Mansion, JR went to the hospital. He told Jamie that Babe was coming on to him and wanted to know why. Janet (dressed in an old-fashioned nurse uniform) overwhelmed Amanda with hugs and kisses. She was saddened that things were over between Jamie and Babe, but wondered aloud what Amanda was going to do about Babe. When Amanda mentioned she’d like to throw her down a well, Janet shook her head and said, “Sweetheart, we do not joke about what I did to your Aunt Natalie.” Things got serious when Janet told her daughter how much she missed her and begged her to come home. A tear rolled down Amanda’s cheek when Janet said how she'd tape her phone calls so she could always hear her daughter’s voice. “I live for your calls,” Janet whispered. Amanda told her mom she loved her but she couldn’t move home and they shared a poignant goodbye. Janet didn’t leave Pine Valley though — she showed up at Chandler Mansion looking for Babe. Uh-oh.
Tuesday, November 15, 2005 At the hospital, Derek questioned Amanda about who was driving the night she was hit, and she told him she didn’t know. When Derek asked, “What would you do if I told you Babe hit you?” Amanda claimed she suddenly remembered that Babe did hit her. Jamie called her a liar, and after Derek left, asked if it was her that set the fire. Amanda glared at him and ordered him out of her room. But before long, she had a surprise visitor: Janet from another Planet. (Welcome back, Kate Collins!) Elsewhere in Pine Valley, Erin and Aidan fought about Jonathan. And no decision would be made about Jonathan’s case for another day, until Jack could find out about the fire, and if Jonathan had anything to do with it. Lily visited Jonathan in prison where the two ended up bonding. Lily still wasn’t sure if she should be afraid of Jonathan or not, but she helped him open his ketchup packet and they discussed their common problems with speech troubles. Lily tried to give Jonathan hope and said that hers got much better after she saw a speech therapist. Progress was clearly made between the two before Lily left. Jonathan had another visitor before the end of the episode: Ryan. His big brother asked if he was the one who started the fire at the Roadside Bar.
Monday, November 14, 2005 Alone together, Kendall and Dr. Madden discussed their secret. "You can't let her know," Kendall stressed. Meanwhile, Josh was in Greenlee’s room, throwing in his two cents about the child Kendall was carrying for her and Ryan. He even mentioned it would be a good movie because of everything that went on and casually dropped in the night of the blackout. Greenlee was immediately curious, but before they could discuss it in depth, Dr. Madden wheeled Kendall in. Josh quickly fled. Kendall cleared Greenlee's mind when she showed her the ultrasound photo of the baby. But when Greenlee questioned Kendall about the blackout, Kendall explained that they’ve had a lot to deal with lately and she didn’t think anything of it so she didn’t tell her. Greens understood and hugged her pal. Outside of Greens’ room, Greg confronted Josh about what he possibly told Greenlee, but Josh told his dad he didn’t say anything. Greg warned him not to in the future. Derek accused JR of driving and letting Babe take the fall for him, but Babe and JR continued to insist she did it. Once Derek left, Krystal and Adam retreated from the living area and JR went to get a drink, but Babe knocked it out of his hand. She realized that he remembered he hit Amanda and confronted him about it. When he asked what she wanted in return, she replied that she wanted Little Adam to stay and Pine Valley — and him to sober up. “I don’t want to lose you,” she said, looking into her ex-hubby’s eyes. Upstairs in the nursery, Krystal and Adam also shared a moment together. Krystal gave her hubby some parenting advice and they embraced.
