AMC Recaps Week of Dec. 12, 2005Friday, December 16, 2005 JR was furious Jonathan had the opportunity to touch his son. He called security and announced to everyone all of Jonathan's crimes. "I wouldn't hurt children," Jonathan stressed. "Yeah, you wait until they are all grown up," scowled JR. Jonathan was upset that JR ruined Christmas, just like his father used to do. "You scared your little boy... Someone should take him away from you," Jonathan yelled as security was taking him away. His brain may be damaged, but he was still able to think of an escape and he fled. JR and the team of mall security ran after him, but didn't have any luck. Ryan joined Kendall and Zach on Divorce Island. "Did you get your divorce or do you think maybe he had something else in mind?" he asked, once he saw the beautiful suite she was in. He accused Zach of playing with Kendall's mind, and her of falling for it. He pointed out all of Zach's misdeeds, including the threat Zach made that he wouldn't miss the next time Ryan was shot at. Zach wondered if Ryan was pushing for the divorce so he could marry Kendall. Kendall asked Zach for a moment alone with Ryan where Ryan told her that he understood why she inseminated herself. Then he accused Zach of using Kendall to get back at him, Erica, Jack, everyone that he hates. “He’s about power and control and I will not stand here and let him step all over here to get that.” Zach walked back into the room to protect his damsel in distress. “Just leave me alone, both of you!” Kendall ordered and ran from the room. It's time for an early holiday present, AMC fans! Myrtle opened her door and found a beautiful surprise standing before her eyes. "Merry Christmas Myrtle," Bianca grinned. As the adorable Miranda (who happens to be a lot bigger now than Little Adam — the child she shares a birthday with) tottered around, Bianca inquired about what was going on with Kendall. Over at New Beginnings, Jamie and Josh shared heated words when Jamie questioned Mrs. Claus, er, Amanda's honesty about her blackouts. Elsewhere, loony Janet opened a present early — one she gave herself.
At home, Babe safely tucked Little Adam into his crib, but then had a one-on-one with JR in the next room. She brought up how Little A's safety is constantly compromised when he's with JR, first the pool incident and now this. When she broke down in frightened tears, JR embraced her. But when Babe pulled away, she said, "I'm taking my son away." Someone else was thinking the same thing because over in Little A's room, someone dressed as Santa (hmmm, there have been a couple of little Santa's floating around Pine Valley lately) opened the secret door to the nursery.
Thursday, December 15, 2005 At Fusion, both Ryan and Erica were there to get Simone to reveal where Kendall had disappeared to. Simone reluctantly told them. Ryan fled and Erica prayed that God would give Ryan and Kendall the push they needed. Meanwhile at New Beginnings, Babe asked Josh to help her learn all about business and was appalled to learn Josh had hired Amanda. Josh assured her he knew Amanda had a few screws loose. After a verbal catfight with Amanda, Babe left. Alone with Josh, Amanda asked for his help in sticking it to Babe. Too bad for her Jamie was standing in the doorway. Later, JR took Little Adam to the mall and ran into Babe. He was less than friendly and ignored her as he put Little Adam on the lap of Santa Claus. When Babe got a look at Santa she grabbed her child and called Mr. Claus a murderer. (The poor kids in line after them — scarred for life!) Sure enough, Santa removed his beard and was revealed to be Jonathan. Over on the Island of Divorce, Kendall and Zach played more mind games with each other. Zach gave Kendall a beautiful pendant, and Kendall was all smiles. Their behavior disturbed their divorce lawyer who noted that if they carried on like that in front of a judge, they were sure to get in trouble. Once their lawyer left, Zach informed his wife that he didn't want a divorce. He admitted he did love her, but he trusted her to do what was best for herself. She appreciated his trust and just as they were about to leave for court she stopped him. She took a deep breath and smiled. She couldn't believe she was about to say the words she was going to say. We never heard those words, though, because the episode ended with the camera panning to Ryan.
Wednesday, December 14, 2005 On the beach, Zach entertained Kendall (who was walking on the sand in her three-inch heels!) while she suffered from insomnia. When Kendall questioned Zach about why he said he loved her, he tried to get her to drop it. She just didn’t understand why he was being so wonderful to her if they were divorcing. “They last thing you need is a guy like me hurting you over and over again,” sighed Zach. “You’re better off being the ex-Mrs. Zach Slater.” He put his jacket around her and said he should get her back inside. Once he got her back to her room, he guided her out to the patio for a fireworks display he had planned. “What’s divorce without fireworks?” he quipped then kissed her hair and left her alone to think. Lily explained to Jonathan her problems with Sam and her fears that no boy would ever like her because of her disorder. Jonathan promised Lily she was special — in a good way. Meanwhile, Erin and Aidan got locked in at the Christmas tree lot and spent the episode flirting and bonding. After Jonathan put Lily’s wreath up on her tree, he went back to the tree lot and Aidan and Erin asked him to call for help. JR showed up at Fusion to help Babe learn about the business. When the conversation turned to the future, JR surprised Babe with cider and they toasted to faith, trust and giving Little Adam the family he deserves. Then JR pulled out a STUNNING diamond ring. "Do you like it?" he asked Babe. Not too fast all of you Babe/JR fans. It's not what you think. Or Babe, who claimed she was blindsided. Yeah, well so was JR — this time last year he learned Miranda wasn’t his daughter. JR returned to expressing his bitter feelings to his ex. He announced he was going to start to date again and save that bling for a deserving girl. “And that sure as hell cuts you out," he said, and wished her luck with Fusion, because that was all she'd ever have.
Tuesday, December 13, 2005 Lily was upset to find Sam drinking a beer, but after he put it down, she forgot about it and allowed her boyfriend to kiss her. They kissed, kissed and kissed some more, but when Sam started unbuttoning Lily’s top, she freaked. She wasn’t ready for “second base.” When she thought he was mad at her, he corrected her. He was mad at Jonathan Lavery. And he got even more upset when Lily tried to defend the man who killed his father. His anger only upset Lily and she ran off. Meanwhile, Jonathan, Erin and Aidan arrived at the Christmas tree lot where Jonathan wanted to find the perfect tree for Ryan. When Stuart came over to help, he was shocked to see Edmund's murderer before his eyes. Jonathan explained the doctors had made him better and that's all Stuart needed to hear and happily helped Jonathan in his quest for a tree. Alone with Erin, Aidan noticed she wasn’t exactly in the Christmas spirit. She explained her hard past Christmases, and Aidan tried to comfort her, but they both became alarmed with Stuart told them Jonathan left to deliver a present to someone. That someone turned out to be Lily, who Jonathan found upset in her tree. In their honeymoon, er, divorce suite, Kendall and Zach dined on lobster. (Once they figured out how to crack hers open!) The shared a few laughs before Kendall admitted to her hubby that she was worried about making the right decision concerning her baby. Later, after Zach had retired to his room for the night, Kendall went for a walk out on the beach. She just couldn’t get rid of that hubby of hers though, and was surprised to find Zach there also.
Monday, December 12, 2005 At Pine Valley Hospital, David was being prepped for open heart surgery. Lucky for Doctor David, he woke up before his chest was cracked open. He ran screaming from the room and informed Joe, Amanda, Ryan and Jamie that he was knocked out and tagged as a patient who needed heart surgery. Ryan pointed out the similarities to what happened to Kendall last week. Then he stepped away from the group to leave a message with Erin questioning Jonathan's whereabouts. Meanwhile, David cornered Amanda. Jamie told David that Amanda had been with him the entire time. Julia and Ryan had a little chat about Kendall. Later, Jamie followed Amanda to the boathouse to confront her about the problems she’s having with blackouts. Amanda admitted that she has no clue where she was when David or Kendall were attacked. “Am I going to be a loony, just like my mom?” sighed Amanda. Speaking of her loony mom, Janet was alone, toasting to Jamie and Amanda's many years of happiness together. Back at the boathouse, Jamie allowed Amanda to move in with him so he could keep an eye on her blackouts. On a plane, Kendall and Zach toasted with orange juice to "the best divorce ever." As a divorce present, Zach promised to convince Babe to sell her shares of Fusion to Kendall. Zach had a dream where Myrtle promised to get Zach and Kendall together and the next thing he knew, he woke up to Kendall falling into his lap. Kendall had a fantasy of her own where she and Zach were together for real and then asked her husband, “Do you really want this divorce?” When he asked the same question of her, she sighed, “Yes, I do.” At the lavish hotel, Kendall told Zach this didn’t feel like a divorce. “It feels like a honeymoon.”
