AMC Recaps Week of Dec. 26, 2005

Friday, December 30, 2005
Ryan showed up at Wildwind with a bottle of champagne and Julia pulled him inside. She was freaking out over taking her state nursing Boards. "I can't believe how much has changed in nine years," she exclaimed. Ryan, hero that he is, offered to help her study. After the study session, Julia and Ryan toasted to friendship then he gently kissed her on the lips. Meanwhile, Aidan and Erin enjoyed their fishing date and celebrated the New Year with a kiss as well.

GENERAL HOSPITAL's Dobson made a visit to Pine Valley today — no wait, that's just Janet in her waiter disguise. She tried to get Babe to take her "special water" but no such luck. However Krystal accidentally picked it up. "Ooopps," MirrorJanet said. When Palmer asked her to dance, she had to turn him down because she wasn't feeling well. Instead, she walked outside to get some air and quickly passed out. "You Carey women are capital T trouble," Janet devilishly said, arriving quickly by Krystal’s side. Meanwhile at the party, Amanda told Jamie her New Year's resolution was to stop holding grudges. He meant so much to her and she didn't want to mess it up. And while JR and Babe took a break from dancing, Josh flirted with Babe. When JR came back over to them, Josh warned her she was making a mistake. Babe walked away from Josh and right into Janet, taking a drink from her tray this time.

A jealous JR questioned Babe about Josh, but Babe quickly reminded him that she was there with who she wanted — him. Janet had another waiter interrupt them and tell Babe that Krystal was looking for her. Good daughter that she is, Babe excused herself and walked outside. Her drink quickly affected her and BAM, she hit the ground in almost the exact same spot her mama did. (What are the odds?) And again, Janet was right there to scoop her up.

There was an appearance by Brooke today! She wasn't pleased at all that Jamie was there with Amanda. Adam was there to take her mind off of that, though. "Where is your wife?" Brooke wondered. "I haven't really noticed. How could I with you here?" he swooned and claimed he missed her and what they had. Brooke reminded him he was married. Elsewhere, Opal showed up with Del, and Simone and Ethan looked forward to 2006.

JR and Jamie noticed that both Babe and Amanda were missing. Jamie found Babe, but thanks to Janet, JR didn’t find Babe. Janet did however give a key to JR. At the same time, Josh was upstairs and opened the door to one of the rooms. “What the hell?” he declared. Downstairs, an extra, extra, extra large cake was brought out to ring in 2006 at the party. To everyone's surprise, a naked Krystal popped out of it. And back upstairs, as the clock struck midnight, JR walked into the room he had a key to and found a naked Babe in bed — with Josh by her side.

Kendall was overwhelmed by Zach's surprise for her. He had her favorite flowers, music, and even lobster waiting on his lady. The duo shared a beautiful dance and Zach declared his love again for her. She reminded him their relationship was settled and they were divorced. He replied that he made a mistake walking away. She tried to walk away but he stopped her, needing her to tell him how she felt. “If you don’t want me in your life, I will walk away from you, I promise,” he said. A tearful Kendall apologized to Zach, “I can’t do this.” He kissed her forehead and wiped her tears before walking away. "Zach wait!" yelled Kendall. When he turned around, she smiled and finally admitted, "I love you." As Zach and Kendall kissed, we saw fireworks — in more than one way. Happy New Year, Zendall fans!

Instead of worms, what did Aidan suggest he and Erin use to fish?

NerdJanet in the mirror taunted NuJanet as she slowly donned a disguise: a man with a mustache and glasses.

Simone insisted she could order Kendall around (sorta), then begged her to go to the New Year's Eve party at the Valley Inn. Ethan said there would be "hot English boys" there, but Kendall resisted and was left alone. Until Zach appeared and said, "I need you." He invited her to the casino, implying a business interest. She arrived there in a sexy little sequined number. When Zach revealed it was a set-up to be alone she stormed out in anger — or at least tried to. He locked her in and poured "sparkling fruit juice." He wanted another shot at their divorce party, so she dared him to "make this the best divorce celebration ever."

Jonathan wished Lily a Happy New Year and gave her Erin's skates so she could learn. Meanwhile, Ryan, (a suspiciously glammed-up) Erin and Aidan questioned park-goers about "Victoria" without luck. Just as they were about to call it a night, Aidan spotted a woman taking a slug from a flask and called "Victoria!" prompting her to flee. The gang caught up to her and quizzed her about Jonathan but she denied knowing him. Then she recalled she had spent the whole night with "Santa Jonathan," and she's willing to give a deposition. Relieved, Erin and Ryan argued over who was the worse sibling for doubting Jonathan before Ryan headed off to tell him the good news. Left behind, Erin started crying, and Aidan comforted her before confessing that he wanted to clear Jonathan so that Aidan could ask her out for New Year's Eve, stunning her. Eventually, she accepted.

Adam and Krystal bickered over business (and grammar!) when Babe arrived as the guest of a tuxedo-clad JR — as his date! Adam joked that somebody should "get a gun and shoot me," JR and Babe rounded hunting rifles and Krystal found a bow and arrow. Adam took JR aside and scolded him for not supporting him at a board meeting to buy a company, but JR brushed him off. Adam accused JR of falling for "that girl." Then Babe appeared, clad in a glamorous green dress. Adam huffed, "I wouldn't be caught dead pretending to be optimistic about 2006," and settled in with his newspaper. Then Krystal appeared, clad in a glamorous black dress. Adam tried to ignore her entreaties to join her at the Valley Inn, but he resisted. She flopped down, sighed loudly, batted her eyelashes and wiggled her shoulders, yet still he resisted. But he couldn't resist staring at her cleavage — and neither could we, thanks to an extreme breast close-up from the new BoobCam2006. She told "Frosty" that Palmer had invited her to dinner and they would talk business. Apparently that floated Adam's boat, and the pair embraced passionately. Suddenly he broke the kiss and shouted "Sucker!" and fled the scene. Outside the room, he questioned his own sanity and resolved to take an immediate cold shower.

At the Valley Inn, all eyes were on JR and Babe, who were followed by Jamie and his "trashy piece of arm candy," Amanda. The girls sniped at each other while JR covertly quizzed Jamie about the progress of their plot. Meanwhile, Ethan quizzed Simone about why she looked miserable. She confessed it was because she "knew" he was going to dump her, just like all the other men in her life. Why was he acting "so awesome"? Ethan asked if she wanted him to hit on a "busty brunette." (Um, isn't that a description of Simone?) Nevertheless, he vowed to keep "adoring the heck out of her." Elsewhere, Palmer danced and flirted with Krystal until Adam cut in and warned her, "Welcome to 2006!"

After Ryan told Jonathan he had an alibi, Ryan joined his brother and Lily skating. Lily suggested making resolutions: She resolved not to get mad at Reggie for eating cereal; Jonathan resolved to take Lily skating every week; and Ryan resolved to "stand by Kendall however I can." At the party, JR asked a waiter for drink. The "waiter" was actually Janet in her disguise!

As Kendall tried to cover for asking Zach, "Why did I have to lose you?" he appeared to grope her breast, but he was actually...er, fingering her dragonfly broach. Ryan spoiled the moment by walking in, so Zach left. Ryan offered his help with the pregnancy. They agreed that Greenlee was better at helping, but she's gone, and they're both suffering. Kendall allowed him to escort her to a sonogram appointment.

At the New Beginnings studio, Amanda scoffed at JR's bid to buy her off, so he whipped out a crowbar and slammed it on the desk. JR taunted her about growing up with violence, and how Janet killed his Uncle Will with a crowbar. He suspected she may have taken Little Adam, and warned her to take the cash and leave town. Josh eavesdropped and learned Amanda thinks Babe is playing JR. Then Josh threw out JR. Later, Josh made sure Amanda overheard him tell a reporter Erica hasn't fallen off the wagon. Then he accused Amanda of erasing a DVD during a blackout.

On the Fusion roof, Janet startled Babe. Janet vowed to do her best to make sure there's no more trouble between Babe and Amanda. JR appeared (what's he doing on the roof?) and blew up at Janet over Amanda's conniving. "Your mother would be ashamed of you!" Janet wailed and stormed off. When Babe thought Janet was "kinda nice," JR called Babe "too nice." Babe revealed that Zach tried to buy her out, and JR offered to help her fight. He asked her to start celebrating New Year's early and they smooched.

Despite knowing Greg loves her, Erica asked Greg to talk to Jack about Kendall's "situation." Greg was skeptical Jack would listen, but agreed to try to convince him he and Kendall only wish to honor Greenlee. Then Erica recounted "the strangest dream" — one that featured Greg: "You were my doctor!" Erica said he was a psychiatrist who asked her questions about her past. Jack appeared, and Erica covered by saying she wanted to make sure Dr. Madden gives Kendall top care; Jack said he came for the same reason. In the park, Jack demanded to know Erica's real reason for visiting Dr. Madden. (Jack confessed he wanted to rip Greg from stem to stern.) Erica balked because she didn't want Jack to "lay down the law," which she would ignore anyway. Finally, she admitted "It's all about me." (Surprise! AMC fans know everything is always about Erica.) She is convinced she has "crossed paths" with Greg before. Then she revealed Dr. Madden confessed his love to her — but she thinks he's hiding a bigger secret. Jack warned her to stay away from Greg.

Bianca ran into Zach and apologized for pushing him and Kendall together, because Binks feared she's making things worse. Zach seated her at a table with an impressive centerpiece (apparently to avoid being distracted by her impressive cleavage) and said he confronted Kendall, but she didn't admit loving him. He thinks she's scared to have faith, but obsessed with love and loyalty. He vowed to find a way to help her salvage her pride and still keep him. "It's never too late to tell someone you love them," he said, and revealed he has an idea to give her an evening she'll never forget (but in a good way — not like the murder game). If Kendall doesn't want him, he promised to let her go. They sipped champagne.

Later, Greg showed Kendall and Ryan the sonogram of their son, and they clasped hands. Meanwhile, Erica said she was convinced Greg's secret was locked inside her. At the studio, Josh promised to cover for Amanda, but added, "Erica will never know what hit her." Janet looked in mirror to see her old, dorky self staring back, taunting her. "I have a plan," Janet smiled. "And it's a very good plan."

Babe pounded on Jamie's door until Amanda answered in her negligee. David knocked on the motel door until Jonathan answered in his baseball cap, and David served him a smoothie. Meanwhile, Bianca served tea to Myrtle by a roaring fire (neither was wearing a nightie or ball cap).

Babe voiced her suspicion that maybe Amanda took Little Adam, but Jamie defended her. Janet walked in and suggested "somebody got coal in their stocking for Christmas." Jamie took Babe aside outside and told her he's with Amanda to keep her from flipping out. Indoors, Janet marveled that "they let a homicidal maniac out of jail?" Amanda lamented that she didn't want Babe's "rugrat," and she's lucky to have Jamie. Jamie told Babe he played along when JR asked if Babe was playing him, but warned Babe to stay away. Wrapped in a blanket, Amanda told her mom, "I think I'm in love." "Then you shall have him," Janet declared. When Jamie returned, Amanda dropped her blanket (in case he forgot what her...um, negligee looks like), and Janet left to catch her flight (to meet hubby Trevor in a top-secret location).

A panicked Ryan swatted David's gift away and vowed to have it tested for poison. David said anyone who gets rid of Jonathan will get away with it, and accused Ryan of making a mockery of Leo's death. Jack arrived and backed David, telling Ryan to take Jonathan away. But Ryan insisted he's staying until Kendall gives birth — Greenlee made him a better man. Back inside, Ryan said they need proof Jonathan didn't kidnap Little A. Jon said he talked with a "Victoria" for hours — the same time the child was taken. There was a knock at door: Aidan. Erin hired the detective to find Jon's alibi, but Ryan was suspicious Aidan will taint her. Aidan vowed to do his job honestly. Jonathan declared his new name is "Uncle Jonathan," and he will learn to change diapers and make bottles. In the park, David proposed he and Jack throw in together to get rid of Jonathan. Citing Michael Cambias, David was sure they could get away with it. Calling Jonathan "this year's Cambias," David suggested they both "dose him," so neither knows who applied the lethal stroke. Jack balked, but David asked, "Does somebody have to die before you step up like a man?"

Bianca and Myrtle agreed Zach and Kendall just need to spend time together to ignite "fireworks" — a prospect that horrified Erica! La Kane prefers Kendall with Ryan, but Binks insisted Kendall doesn't love Ryan, so there will be "no romantic happy ending." Erica protested that Kendall doesn't trust Zach, but she can have a life of real love with Ryan and baby."Zach will break her heart," Erica warned. "Zach Slater will destroy her."

Speaking of Zach, he was at Fusion, where he reminded Kendall of her lap dance on the plane and his vow to obtain Babe's Fusion shares whether she wants his help or not. Kendall said she's having the baby, and Ryan will be there for her. "If you're happy, I'm happy," he declared. "Are you happy?" Kendall said she's concentrating on Fusion — just as Danielle and Simone returned, followed by Babe. They bickered over who's calling the shots — Ethan made Simone an equal partner — and Zach took Babe outside, where he offered her "a boatload of money" for her shares. Babe insisted she knows makeup and can run Fusion. Zach revealed that Kendall and Ryan are having a baby. Babe suggested that if Bianca can tolerate Babe, so can Kendall. Babe wants to prove she has something to offer the world. Zach teased that she should wait until Fusion fails then come crawling back to him. Babe stormed off. Back inside, Kendall lamented losing so many important things in her life, so why did she have to lose him too?

Back at home, Jamie was in "smart" mode (wearing his glasses), and Amanda was in "hussy" mode (still wearing her nightie), when she tip-toed over and said, "I want to make you happy." Jamie stroked her arm and told her to take it slow. Meanwhile, Babe was on the roof of the Fusion building, where Janet eyed her with bad intent.
