AMC Recaps Week of January 9, 2006Friday, January 12, 2006 At the hospital, Erica announced to Jack and Tad that she had figured out her connection to Greg. The trio failed to figure out what Greg's agenda with Kendall might be, though they agreed the doc is shady. Jack insisted that he handle Greg from here on out. Greg then entered. "I hear you're in love with my life," growled Jack. Greg maintained his innocence, saying it was just a coincidence that Greenlee and Kendall approached him for help. Greg then said it was time for him to tell Erica a few things about Josh, but she refused to hear him out. Greg received final words of warning from Jack, Erica and Tad before walking away. Tad then had a series of flashbacks, which prompted him to develop a new theory about Greg that alarmed him greatly. With a heavy heart, Ryan went inside the penthouse he'd shared with Greenlee for the first time since she left town. Kendall arrived and pointed out that there's "a lot of Greenlee around." Ryan was well aware of that but determined to move back in. Kendall then told Ryan that she was going to have the baby without him. Ryan accused Kendall of wanting him out of the picture because of Zach, which led to a heated argument. Kendall told Ryan not to get in the way of her happiness with Zach. Ryan reluctantly agreed but insisted on staying in town rather than leave to find Greenlee, as that would go against his wife's wishes. Kendall and Ryan agreed they both miss Greens. Jonathan left the hospital, trailed by Janet, who continued (despite Mirror Janet's warnings that it was a bad idea) to do her best to plant doubts in his head as to his innocence in the "Di nearly drowning" situation. After Jon bolted, Janet drove off in a cargo truck. Adam phoned JR and instructed him to return home. As Babe approached, JR informed Adam that he was where he wanted to be, then hung up. Babe had a surprise for JR that she would only deliver if he apologized for being obnoxious that morning; he complied. They flirted heavily as they assembled the temporary beach shelter she'd purchased. Krystal taunted Adam about how much closer Babe and JR were likely to grow away from Adam's disapproval. Adam fixed Krystal a cup of tea, which she suspected he'd tainted with poison. Adam rigged a sandbag to fall from the ceiling onto Krystal, but she moved away in time. "You're desperate," she seethed. He warned her that this prank was just a taste of things to come. She told Adam that she'd written a note incriminating him should she meet with any sort of foul play. On the beach, JR and Babe's kiss was interrupted by the collapse of the lightweight shelter they were frolicking under, but they quickly got back to smooching business. Krystal became concerned when she couldn't find Adam, whose shoes were left behind on the front doorstep. She summoned Palmer to the mansion; he recommended to Krystal that she divorce Adam for her own safety. "I'm fine," she insisted. Palmer then shocked Krystal with a marriage proposal. Babe and JR agreed that they were happy. "Marry me!" she spontaneously suggested.
Janet dragged Adam's unconscious body into her truck, where other unconscious passengers — Joe, Opal, Brooke — were napping.
Thursday, January 12, 2006 Outside Jonathan's life-skills class, Erin teased Aidan about having special-forces buddies, and he teased her about being a Green, but she insisted she's a card-carrying carnivore. He invited her to dinner. She suggested that Jonathan choose the place. Inside the classroom, Julia explained the idea of personal space. Lily asked how to use body language to send the message that she doesn't want to have sex. Jonathan said he had lots of sex, but that doesn't make someone normal. Lily ticked off the "rules" of love and asked if anyone ever followed them. Julia said sometimes people follow their hearts, but there is no guidebook. When the class ended, Jonathan asked Lily, "Will you be my girlfriend?" Outside, Erin said she doesn't date "in the traditional sense" — but that doesn't mean she's into girls, it just means she can't take the expectations of couple-ness because she was once burned by a married man — her father. Aidan vowed to find some way to convince her to date again and they parted — just in time for Anita to suddenly appear. She said Bobby spooked her off men, but she recalled that Aidan is a decent guy. He wished her luck finding a new lucky guy. They exchanged best wishes and embraced, just in time for Erin to witness it. "I'm an idiot," Erin shouted. Lily suggested she wouldn't be a good girlfriend because it didn't work with Aidan and Sam, but Jonathan insisted she'd be perfect because she is beautiful and smart, and didn't listen to what other people said about him. And he doesn't want to touch her; he's happy to just look at her hair. Just as Erin said her father didn't want Jonathan around her, Jack walked in. Lily said she had to stay late to answer a classmate's question and promised to take the bus home. When Jack left Jonathan reappeared, and Lily agreed to be his girlfriend, because she reasoned that Jack wants her to be happy. Meanwhile, Erin rambled about Aidan and Anita until he said Anita was his ex — and he still wanted to date Erin. She smiled. Elsewhere at the hospital, Opal and Del traded compliments while pushing a book cart at the hospital. He said her stories were great material for his book. Ethan made Ryan "an offer you can't refuse" — become a partner in Cambias again. He and Ryan agreed that Zach would ultimately break Kendall's heart (and it would be cool to be rich again), so Ryan agreed. Ethan suggested Ryan work the hot companies and hot acquisitions. Simone suddenly appeared to celebrate Ryan agreeing to be Ethan's best man, but Ethan admitted he hadn't mentioned the wedding yet. Ryan agreed anyway. Ryan left and Ethan gave her a giant ring, stumbled to his knee, slipped it on her, and they smooched. Zach offered a single white rose to Kendall, and she challenged him to admit what he said when she was sleeping. "I love you," he repeated and they snuggled. Kendall reveled Dr. Madden said they can't make love, "so where does that leave us?" Zach noted that a man in love "has big needs," but Kendall worried about miscarrying. They agreed to "blow out the candles," because they have already made love symbolically. Zach filled her condo with flowers and presents, and offered to crash on the couch because Ryan went off the deep end once before, and still might. Del looked for Opal, who had disappeared. He didn't know she was unconscious on a gurney — pushed by Janet!
Wednesday, January 11, 2006 Julia and David ran into each other at the hospital and David wondered why Julia left so quickly that morning. The two chatted about their hot night. "You were outrageous," Julia smiled, "but I'm not into this commitment thing." She promised to call David and left. Julia went to visit Di and the insta-best friends gossiped about Julia's night of romance and Di's night of near death. Julia refrained from telling Di her mystery man was David, though. After leaving Di, Julia ran into Jonathan, who was upset over David telling him how much the people in Pine Valley hated him. Julia told him she was proud of him and encouraged him to take things one step at a time. Back in Di's room, Dr. Madden fired Di after spotting her holding hands with Tad. Later, Tad and Di shared a sweet moment where Di promised she wasn't going to die on him. Krystal visited her hubby, who was cuffed to the bed in the pysch ward. Adam was understandably furious. When Palmer arrived to have a few chuckles of his own, you can bet there was a lot of classic dialogue between Adam, Palmer and Krystal. Palmer suggested that in Adam's current state, Krystal could take over Chandler Enterprises. And in a shout-out to all of you Internet fans, Krystal proposed she rename the corporation KWAK: "Krystal with a K." Joe eventually came in the room and broke up the fun Krystal and Palmer were having with Adam. After he warned Adam not to mess with his hospital, he allowed him to leave. Later, after having a chat with David, something mysterious happened and all that was left of Dr. Joe was a pair of shoes. Much like Brooke yesterday. Also at the hospital, a worried Kendall and Zach awaited word on the state of the baby. Kendall admitted she didn't want her son to die and was worried she did something wrong. A sweet moment between the two was ruined with Ryan walked in, demanding to know if something was wrong with the baby. Kendall asked Zach to leave and she informed Ryan she had some spotting and may lose the baby. Dr. Madden came in and assured the worried parents the baby was okay, but he had a few precautions for her: one being no sexual intercourse. From the hallway, Zach observed Kendall and Ryan joke about past memories.
Tuesday, January 10, 2006 After Jonathan told Ryan that he saved Di so he could stay with his big brother in Pine Valley, Ryan had a pow wow with Erin in the hall. Erin wondered if Ryan was starting to fall in love with his son. Ryan said it wasn't happening yet, but he couldn't leave his child unprotected. If they were sticking around, Erin wanted to upgrade from the Pine Cone. Ryan didn't want to go back to his penthouse because that meant his marriage was over with Greenlee. Erin eyed him. Meanwhile, inside of Jonathan's room, Janet entered dressed like a nurse and tried to convince Jonathan he was the one who pushed Di. At the end of the episode, Erin and Ryan told Jonathan they were staying in Pine Valley — and moving back to the penthouse. At SOS, David admired Julia from across the bar as the bartender flirted with her and eventually danced salsa with her. (Hmm, perhaps Sydney Penny can do the next season of DANCING WITH THE STARS?) After the dance, David made his way over to Julia where the two introduced themselves. As soon as David mentioned his name, Julia pointed out he erased Maria's memory. Just as he was about to explain himself, Julia asked, "Do you think you could do the same thing for me?" She wanted to remember something new. "I'm new," David flirted. Julia took his hand and the duo left SOS together. As Di murmured on about Dixie, Tad assured her that he and JR were by her side. The talk about Dixie upset JR, who still had bitter feelings toward Di, and he fled. Back at the Chandler mansion, JR started packing his suitcase. When he mentioned he was taking Little Adam on his trip to get away from everything, Babe halted him. He couldn’t leave with Little A without her. “Free child care and more of me in bed than you ever imagined,” tempted Babe. With that, JR agreed she could come. Upset over the turmoil Di was causing JR, Adam went into her room. "Go for the light," Adam urged an unconscious Di. "Do us all a favor and just die!" Krystal walked in just in time to hear him wish Di's death. She was livid with his cruelty. Later, Krystal chatted with a doctor about her hubby, who she worried was suffering from dementia. Krystal egged the psychiatrist on as he questioned Adam. At the end of the show, the young doctor had orderlies taking Adam away as he demanded someone call Brooke. There was indeed a Brooke spotting today. (Yay!) She arrived at the hospital to comfort a very distressed Tad, who throughout the episode was trying to will Di to open her eyes. "I never stopped caring about Di," Tad admitted, but Brooke already knew. Later, Tad got in bed with Di to warm her up, and after Janet spied Brooke, the Tempo editor ended up missing from an elevator.
Monday, January 9, 2006 Yowsers! The show opened with a hot, hot, hot love scene between JR and Babe. Basking in the afterglow, the duo discussed how amazing it was and admitted they've both thought about it a lot in the past few months. "I wouldn't take it back," Babe assured JR and he agreed. Later, Babe wondered how long it could last before JR thought she was "Slut Babe" again. He said he'd apologize in advance and zeroed in on their lips. Unfortunately, their hot moment was interrupted with Tad's call about Di's condition. When JR was reluctant to go to Di, Babe talked him into it and they headed to the hospital. While she was fighting for her life, Di flashed back to her visit with Dixie. "Dixie," Di called out — with Tad and JR in the room. Greg tried to get Erica to calm down as she remembered he was the doctor who performed her abortion years ago. When she questioned his motives, he pointed out it's not like he changed his name. Meanwhile, Josh listened in with the help of Amanda. Erica was bothered by the fact that Greg developed such adoration for her after the abortion. "Eventually I would have forgotten you, but you became famous," noted Greg, who then admitted he found himself falling in love with her. "You should have told me how we met months ago!" Erica yelled. "You really expect me to believe our coming together now is just coincidence?" Then she presented him with her baby photo Tad found in his files and questioned why she had it. Josh interrupted them before questions could be answered. Erica asked that Josh show Greg out. Outside of her office, Greg warned his son to do his job and be supportive of Erica. "And this is the only warning you're going to get," he threatened before leaving. MirrorJanet scolded Janet for hurting Di; she wasn't on their list. Janet blamed it on the fact that Di was a maniac who assumed someone else's identity. MirrorJanet reminded Janet of how she did the same with Natalie. "Dixie Cooney Martin was one of my dearest friends!" claimed Janet. (Umm, perhaps she's forgotten that Dixie despised her for KILLING her brother, Will.) To help her daughter, Janet vowed revenge on JR and Babe — and she'd make it worse than taking their baby for one night. While Kendall and Zach were in a liplock, Ryan walked in. Much to both men's surprise, Kendall asked Ryan to stay. "Ryan's a part of my life," Kendall informed Zach. Then it was Ryan's turn for a bombshell: Kendall told him she and Zach were in love. Kendall wondered which man was going to leave because of these revelations, but they both assured Kendall they were staying put. Kendall worried that the two couldn't co-exist because they would kill each other. When Ryan got the call that his brother was in the hospital, he left. "If loving you means I have to deal with Ryan Lavery, then I'm going to do it," Zach then told Kendall. Kendall had one more favor: she wanted to tell everyone about them — including Erica.
