In the park, JR joined Babe and Little Adam. The soon-to-be family played together in the snow, but their family time (and a hot kiss between Babe and JR) was interrupted when Winifred arrived with a package for JR. The housekeeper took the baby back to the mansion, leaving JR to present Babe with a prenuptial agreement. "Your money is the least interesting thing about you," Babe grinned and took the prenup. But that grin faded when she started reading the papers. “You miserable son of a bitch,” she scoffed. Elsewhere, Ryan went to Tad's to get his aid in investigating Zach. He gave him all the info he already collected. Tad was reluctant about helping, but agreed. Di came by and offered to help as well, pointing out that Zach offered her a job and she could be the inside woman. Ryan was skeptical, but Tad convinced him it would be a good idea.

Janet returned to the shed Amanda locked her in and covered her tracks so Amanda wouldn't know she escaped. She went off on Jamie (well, not the real Jamie, but rather a newspaper article featuring him) for hurting Amanda. Then she had yet another conversation with MirrorJanet. Meanwhile, at New Beginnings, Amanda almost blabbed to Jamie about her mom's misdeeds, but kept mum on mom. Instead, she left and went back to her mother. Janet immediately grilled her about Jamie, wondering if she really loved him and claimed that Jamie was in on “the plan” to hurt her. Both ladies were unaware that Jamie had followed Amanda, and was snooping around outside.

While under the influence of the drugs Josh slipped in her tea, Erica spent the episode hallucinating about Michael Cambias (who has a fabulous new haircut. There must be a good stylist in Hell) and recalling her days as a Las Vegas showgirl. (Thankfully, there were no flashbacks.) At the casino (along with Erica who was supposed to be prepping to shoot New Beginnings), Kendall rejoiced that she could trust Zach completely and kissed her hubby-to-be to show how happy she was about that. Erica walked into Zach's office just in time to see the kiss, only to her, she saw Kendall kissing Michael Cambias. Erica went off about how appalled she was. Kendall obviously had no clue why Erica was so upset and was worried about her mom, who fled to rehearse her show. Unfortunately, in her drugged state, Erica didn't remember her show was a talk show, but rather she thought she was still a Las Vegas showgirl. Kendall wondered if Erica took any pills or was drinking and tried to take her home, but Erica wanted none of that. Then she turned around she "saw" Michael Cambias again. She went off on him, but he only existed in her eyes, so the staff of New Beginnings and Kendall definitely knew she was losing it. And if that wasn't enough, Erica then proceeded to lay on the bar and perform again. When only one person applauded for her, she flipped out even more, not because of the small applause, but in her eyes, the person applauding was Michael Cambias. Zach tried to help her and get her out of there, but then she saw him as Michael Cambias again. And deep in her hallucination La Kane grabbed a knife and stabbed Zach. (Oddly enough, there was no blood on the knife, but whatever.) Guess that was Erica’s way of saying, “Welcome to the family, Zach!”

At the Chandler mansion, Babe woke up to JR, who surprised her by giving her Dixie’s star necklace. Babe obviously felt guilty about JR's sweet gesture, but she kept a smile on her face. JR allowed Babe to take Little Adam to the park by herself. Once she was gone, Adam walked into the room and stated he'd be honored to be JR's best man. Adam said his happiness for his son was sincere, but did offer him one piece of advice — one that JR was livid about. Adam didn’t want JR to trust Babe too much. Meanwhile, at the park, Babe was playing in the snow with her son when Janet walked up on them. When Babe let on that Jamie might not be as into Amanda as she's into him, Janet flipped. Babe got out of there as quickly as possible and Janet vowed revenge again on Babe.

At New Beginnings, Erica was not pleased by Zach's announcement of his and Kendall's engagement. With Kendall not there, she didn't have to pretend to like him. Zach wondered exactly why she hated him so much. Erica claimed she thought her daughter could do better. Zach wondered if it had to do with what happened between them in Vegas. He had seen her broken, drunk and alone. He gave her his word he wouldn’t say anything to anyone about what happened, but Josh was outside eavesdropping. Zach hoped that one day Erica would be able to get past her anger. He allowed her to still use his casino for filming and then left. Later, Erica freaked over all the mistakes happening at New Beginnings. Josh let Amanda take the fall, who admitted to Erica she had blackouts. Erica warned her, "One more mistake and you're history." Amanda blasted Josh for making her look bad, but Josh assured her he wanted her to excel. But when she turned her back, Josh put one of Janet's pills in a cup of tea then advised Amanda to take the tea to Erica — and she did just that.

Ryan warned Kendall that Zach had secrets, but kept mum about his blackout suspicions. Later, Livia arrived and the duo signed the papers giving Ryan rights to his child. After Livia and Kendall left, Ethan arrived. Ryan insisted they had to find proof about Zach causing the blackout, to ensure Kendall didn't marry Zach again. Ethan informed Ryan of all that he discovered. He didn't have any hard proof, but Ryan had him get a software specialist on it in hopes for a little more proof. Ryan went to see Dr. Madden with questions about the night of the blackout and Kendall's insemination. Later, Kendall surprised Zach back at his office. Ryan obviously piqued Kendall's curiosity and asked Zach to divulge all of his deep secrets. After Zach revealed Ryan broke into his office, Kendall had a warning for her hubby-to-be: “If you have a secret, tell me right now.”

Ryan visited serial killer Jonathan in jail and promised he'd help his brother get out. "No," Jonathan surprisingly replied. He was worried that the lady he was seeing (Janet) was just in his head. When he found out Ryan had a meeting with Kendall about the baby, Jonathan urged his brother to go, so he did. Shortly after Ryan left, Lily arrived to visit Jonathan. She was stressed over the fact that they would have a hard time being "boyfriend and girlfriend" with him in the slammer. She understood him better than most people and was worried about him. When Jonathan told Lily about the mystery lady, Detective Lily had a new case on her hands. In return for her services, she wanted a date from the serial killer.

At New Beginnings, Erica and Zach shared a tense moment before Kendall broke it up. Before Kendall could announce her good news, Josh barged in with bad news: taping at the Yacht Club wouldn't work. Zach offered Erica the use of his casino instead. When Erica said no, Kendall reminded her mom of her promise to be nicer to Zach. The duo promised to be civil to each other, for Kendall's sake. Kendall excused Zach so she could tell her mom her big news, but again, they were interrupted so Erica could tape her Mardi Gras ball announcement. Before announcing her engagement, Kendall had to leave for her meeting with Ryan, but Zach stayed to chat with Erica.

After another night of fun, Julia and David shared breakfast at Wildwind, but Julia surprised David by trying to break up with him. David wondered if there was someone else and wished Julia would give it a shot with him. She thought it was for the best if they parted ways. He told her to keep his digits and left. Later, Julia showed up at Ryan's office and had shocking news for him. She wanted to adopt his and Kendall's baby. He promised he would consider it, but his current top priority was protecting Kendall. Julia fled once Kendall arrived. Later, Zach dropped the engagement bombshell on his mother-in-law-to-be while Kendall told a stunned Ryan, who said she couldn't marry him until she knew. "What don't I know?" Kendall wondered.

When Amanda went back to Janet, she was appalled to see her mom in another costume, plotting to become a Nanny for Little Adam. Amanda promised she loved and trusted her mom, but Janet asked her to prove it by giving her the key. She hated being locked up. Fortunately, Amanda held onto the key tightly and gave Janet her medication. Janet seemingly took a pill, but once Amanda left, she lifted it from under her tongue. Later, while conversing with MirrorJanet, Janet found another way out....

Jamie showed up at New Beginnings looking for Amanda. "Princess must be sleeping late," Josh spouted and went to work, leaving Jamie to snoop in Amanda's things. When Josh returned, he found Jamie snooping and announced he didn't believe Amanda's blackout stories anymore. Once she left Janet, Amanda went straight to New Beginnings. After Josh scolded her, Amanda unknowingly dropped Janet's pills. Once Jamie left and Amanda went back to work, Josh picked up Janet's medication that Amanda dropped and pocketed some of the pills.

Upset over his son's engagement, Adam asked for his brother's help in keeping JR away from Babe, but Stuart reminded him of all of his failed attempts at controlling JR. Meanwhile, Babe and Krystal had a heart-to-heart about Babe and JR. "Things really are different," Babe shrugged. "It's almost like I have my old JR back." She stressed she wasn't in love with JR yet, but if she let herself, she could love him. Krystal warned her daughter that JR was still the same reptile Adam taught him to be. Their conversation was halted when JR walked through the door. Babe greeted him with a kiss and gave him her official answer to his proposal: Yes.

Ethan received a call confirming that the document Ryan found in Zach's office was the Pine Valley Power Grid. "The bastard caused the blackout!" Ryan deduced. "If it wasn't for Zach, Kendall would be carrying mine and Greenlee's baby, and I would still be with my wife." Simone wasn't so quick to pass judgement, though. She thought it was the most romantic thing she'd ever heard, but she new it would break Kendall's heart. "Is it absolutely necessary that Kendall knows Zach caused the blackout?" According to Ryan, yes, but he had to get more proof.

Kendall couldn't sleep, so she went to Zach's office, where she found the floor plan on his desk. "What is this?" she asked. Zach explained it away as a project that was ill-advised then told her how much he loved her. Zach surprised Kendall when he asked her to marry him. "For real this time," he added. After his heartfelt declaration, she enthusiastically said yes and kissed her once again hubby-to-be. Once Kendall left his office, Zach started to burn the incriminating document. Too bad Ryan still had his copy.

Jonathan tried to explain about the nun/nurse/police officer that keeps coming to visit him. JR claimed he was still insane. When Aidan and Erin arrived (thanks to Tad's call), they tried to make sense of Jonathan's explanation. Meanwhile, JR called Derek. Jonathan said it was a girl with brown hair and Jamie instantly thought about Amanda. Tad questioned if Jonathan caused all the incidents so he could then save the victims. The police came and arrested Jonathan, but Jamie was certain Amanda wasn't completely innocent.

Amanda was shocked when a delusional Janet explained her crimes one by one with the dolls in her "work space," from Kendall hanging on the roof to Di falling in the ice. "What has happened to you?" Amanda cried, when Janet showed off all of her costumes. Janet then described how she was trying to have Jonathan take the fall and Amanda tried to shake some sense into her mom. "You are the criminal now!" Janet instantly teared up. If Amanda thought she was a criminal, then she failed. She begged for forgiveness then Amanda watched in horror as she attacked herself, "I don't deserve anything at all!" she wailed. Amanda promised she never doubted her mother's love, but she was worried about her. She pleaded with her mom to take her pills again and stop messing with Babe and JR. Janet promised — with her fingers crossed behind her back. Amanda locked Janet in the shed and tearfully called Trevor for help.

JR, Jonathan, Tad, Jamie and Palmer all worked together to save the sinking truck as Amanda spied on them from behind a bush. Adam, Krystal, Joe, Opal and Brooke were rescued just in time, as the truck sank quickly after they all got out. Amanda found one of Janet's earrings lying on the ground. The kidnap victims all left, but Jamie, JR and Tad stayed to ponder who could have been behind it, and their eyes turned to Jonathan. “How did you know to come here?” Tad wondered. JR and Jamie got physical with him, and Jonathan admitted a woman told him to go there and be a hero. Later, Amanda presented her mother with the earring she found. “Are you really behind all of this?” a distraught Amanda wondered. “Of course I was, darling!” Janet happily replied.

Josh went to see Babe at the Chandler mansion and after comforting her over her missing mother, questioned her feelings for JR. "I feel 'something' for JR," she admitted. She didn't know what it was yet, but she knew it was something. Josh claimed she was insane. Later, Babe shared a poignant reconciliation with Krystal then informed her stunned mother and Adam that she and JR were engaged.

Kendall visited her mother's office and wondered if her mom could ever love her more than she hated Zach. Erica declared her love for Kendall and then promised she's try to meet Zach halfway. Kendall was pleased. Erica also revealed that she had an abortion after she gave birth to Kendall — and that Dr. Madden performed it. She begged Kendall to changed doctors and a hesitant Kendall said she’d think about it. Later, Kendall found the tabloid about Erica and freaked out. “Who wants to humiliate you like this?” she asked her mom. Elsewhere, the camera panned to Josh, sitting and reading the magazine while talking on the phone. “I’m reading it right now. Nicely done,” smirked Josh. “We’ll have to work together again real soon.”

In Zach’s office, Ryan hid as Zach conducted his business. He was saved when Ethan (who was worried about Ryan) and Simone dropped by the office to announce their engagement. After an elaborate tale of possible hives on her wedding day, Simone convinced Zach to go downstairs and have a drink with him and Ethan. Ryan quickly got out, copy of the file in hand. Downstairs, Simone, Zach and Ethan shared an awkward drink and once alone, Zach and Simone discussed Zach’s lack of love for Ethan. Later, Zach went back up to his office and watched surveillance footage to discover Ryan was in his office. "Did you get what you were looking for, Lavery?" he wondered out loud. Meanwhile, Ethan, Simone and Ryan tried to put the pieces of the puzzle together. When Simone mentioned Sept. 20 was the day of the blackout, Ethan and Ryan locked eyes.
