Amanda reeled from Erica's slap across her face. Derek tried to restrain Erica as she ranted at Amanda for having potentially ruined her reputation. Janet listened in from the tunnels as Erica accused Amanda of drugging her. Amanda insisted that she's innocent even after Josh pulled the bottle of pills out of her purse. It then dawned on her that Josh was responsible for Erica's poisoned tea, and she said as much. Her accusation didn't hold much water with Derek when JR, Babe and Jamie revealed that she'd drugged Jamie months earlier. Janet began to quietly weep in the tunnels. Amanda defended herself, but it fell on a slew of deaf ears. When Jamie read on the bottle that the pills were Janet's prescription, she continued to cover for her mom. Erica and Jack asked Amanda if she told Janet about the problems Amanda's been having with Erica, but she still wouldn't incriminate Janet. Josh smirked as the walls closed in on Mandy. Erica told Derek she was pressing full charges against Amanda, then departed to get ready for the ball.... Once alone with Babe, JR suggested that they need to stick together, since everyone else in town is nuts. She replied that she was going to the ball alone... Erica and Jack shared a romantic moment at their place before the ball. Josh showed up to pick up Erica and complimented her on her beauty. He assured La Kane that nobody else would hurt her.

Livia consulted with Jonathan and Lily about Jonathan's decision to post bail. Jon explained that he and Lily have a dance to go to. Livia asked Lily about how Jack feels about her relationship with Jon. Lily confirmed he doesn't approve. Liv told Jon that she'd try her best to get him out of jail, but warned him against going to the Mardi Gras ball. After Livia left, Lily assured Jon that attending the ball would be a safe bet, since they'd be wearing masks.... Amanda was thrown into a cell near Jon's. Jon told Amanda that now that he's seen her, he knows she's not the one who's been doing all the bad things around town.... Janet plotted her next move against Erica. "Girl, we are gonna have a ball," she chuckled.

Zach and Kendall celebrated their decision to get married that night. Ryan interrupted their embrace. Zach asked him if he'd found what he was looking for in his office, so Ryan took the opportunity to apologize to Kendall for what went down at the hospital. Kendall then dropped the bomb to Ryan that she and Zach were planning to elope. After Ryan left, Zach asked for details about Ryan and Kendall's confrontation at the hospital, but she wasn't eager to discuss the matter. He pressed her, but Kendall wouldn't budge.

At Wildwind, Marty warned Tad and Di that if Marty goes along with Ryan's orders, Zach won't take kindly to the double-cross. After they told Marty that he basically had no choice but to cooperate with Ryan, Marty left. Tad and Di took advantage of their one-on-one time to flirt. Ryan came over to explain to Di that he needs to expose Zach ASAP, given Kendall's marital timeline. Di cautioned Ryan not to expect a thank-you from Kendall.... Tad left Wildwind before Ryan came over after getting word that his test results were in (from the test he'd ordered on the blood samples of Greg, Josh and Erica). He raced to the hospital and showed the results to Joe, warning him that what they indicated was a big-time shock. Joe was absolutely floored. Tad and Joe agreed that many, many lives would be affected by the data — most of all Erica. "How the hell do you tell someone something like this?" sighed Tad, not looking forward to having to break the news to Erica.

Simone visited Ethan at his office and tried to return her engagement ring, berating herself for having opened her big mouth to Kendall. He refused to let her beat herself up and they reconfirmed their love.

From his jail cell, Jonathan assured Erin and Aidan that he's glad he's in jail where he's safe. Lily burst in and announced that she'd solved the mystery of the costume shop: All the outfits Janet had donned to torment him had been rented from there, but Lily was still in the dark as to the culprit because the costume-renter used the name "J. Lavery." Aidan praised Lily's detective work and told Jon that he believed he'd been framed. He then proffered a picture of Amanda and asked Jonathan if she was the woman who'd been messing with his mind. Jonathan wasn't sure. Aidan and Erin left after Erin promised Jon that they'd find out who was setting him up. Jon vowed to Lily that he'd seek bail in order to meet her at the Mardi Gras ball.

Amanda blasted Jamie for grilling her about Janet. She ended up running out to find Janet.

At the Chandler manse, Janet eavesdropped on JR and Babe as they fought about the end of their engagement. He apologized after calling her a slut again and tried to get her to tell him if she's pregnant as Janet's ire toward the duo grew in the shadows. Babe announced that she is not with child, but that he'd failed her test of his reaction. Jamie ran in, looking for Amanda, as Mandy caught up with Janet in the tunnels at the mansion. Babe, JR and Jamie dispersed to search the grounds for Amanda, but came up empty and reconvened in the study. Amanda's cell phone then rang, revealing her presence. After Janet bolted, JR yanked open the tunnel door and dragged Amanda into the study, threatening to call the cops.

Di visited Marty at his place. He was putting the moves on her when Ryan materialized and ordered Marty to back off. "Hey baby," purred Di, giving Ryan a kiss. Di introduced Ryan to Marty as her boyfriend, and they asked Marty if he could "pull the plug" on Pine Valley for them, just as they'd done for Zach. Marty didn't buy their story but ultimately agreed to do the job for Ryan for $100,000, same as Zach had paid. Ryan then revealed that he'd taped Marty's confession and smirked that Marty now has to take orders from him, not Slater.

In the courtroom, Zach demanded to be heard on the subject of Erica's fate. He surprised Erica, Jack, Josh and Kendall by telling the district attorney that the stabbing was accidental. The DA still intended to bring the case to trial but Zach made it clear he would not testify in a way that would help the DA's case. The DA had no choice but to drop all charges against La Kane. Kendall pressed Erica to thank Zach, but Slater told her not to bother. The toxicology reports then arrived, confirming that Erica had been drugged. Kendall apologized to her mom for not believing her. Jack thought Jon might be responsible, but Erica was certain of his innocence. Josh then "reluctantly" pointed the finger at Amanda.

While JR, Jamie and Babe were railing at Amanda, accusing her of having poisoned the Chandlers' Thanksgiving Day soup and kidnapping Little Adam, Erica raced in, with Jack and Josh in tow, and slugged Mandy, calling her "an ungrateful little bitch".

Kendall announced to Zach that she wanted to marry him that night.

At the hospital, Simone let Ethan and Ryan know that she'd told Kendall about Zach's role in the blackout. Ryan sighed that he now needed to find proof of Zach's guilt ASAP. Kendall, meanwhile, thought about Simone's slip of the tongue as she sat at Zach's bedside, but shook it off.

Erica was antsy as she awaited the toxicology results; Derek and Jack discouraged her from going to visit Zach to try to straighten things out. Tad arrived, then Josh. Josh reported to Erica that he's handling everything at work in her absence but he was unable to stop a tabloid from publishing an account of Erica's attack on Zach. Erica used the excuse of needing to go the bathroom to put in an appearance in Zach's hospital room. Kendall did not appreciate the visit and ranted at Erica for having stabbed Zach. Erica told Kendall about having been drugged. Zach suggested that he and Erica take a moment to themselves, so Kendall reluctantly left. In the hallway, she encountered Ryan and they fought over his suspicions about Zach. She warned Ryan that if he kept investigating Zach, he'd lose his rights to her and their child, and strongly defended her husband's innocence. Ryan said he was going to find proof whether she liked it or not. Kendall told Ryan to get out of her life.

When the cops realized that Erica had given them the slip, they took off to find her. While Josh fielded a phone call, Tad swiped his coffee cup. Tad tried to make small talk with Josh, who wasn't interested. Greg showed up; Josh brushed past him. Greg then approached Tad and asked Martin what he was trying to wheedle out of Josh. "What do you want from my son?" he demanded. Tad denied Greg's accusation that he was still investigating Greg's connection to Erica and asked Greg to produce the article he was supposedly writing about the Martins. Greg claimed that he'd been too busy to complete it and ordered Tad to stay away from him and his family. Greg turned on his heel and left; Tad pocketed his coffee cup, as well, and prepared the two cups to undergo testing.... The cops caught up to Erica and took her out of Zach's room, as it was time for her arraignment. There was a huge fanfare at the courthouse when Erica arrived.

Kendall re-entered Zach's room and tried to stop him from leaving the hospital, but he was determined to go.... Minutes later, he burst into the courtroom and announced that the judge listen to him if he wanted justice to be served.

Amanda reached Janet by cell phone and begged her to tell her what she's planning to do next. Janet evaded Amanda's questions and hung up.

Babe went to Jamie's apartment and discovered him on the ground, regaining consciousness after Janet's attack. JR walked in and accused Babe of having run back into Jamie's arms. Babe sighed that she was merely trying to warn Jamie about Janet. They squabbled, then stopped so that Babe could explain to Jamie that she'd accidentally tipped off Janet to the fact that Jamie hasn't really fallen head over heels for Amanda. Amanda came home and Jamie, JR and Babe grilled her about how Jamie got knocked out. Amanda said that she was the one who hit Jamie. Jamie told JR and Babe to get out. Once alone with Amanda, he pleaded with her to come clean with him. Amanda accused Jamie of having been in cahoots with JR and Babe all along. "Amanda, where is your mom right now?" responded Jamie.

At the casino, Di gave Marty a sob story about how she's in a financial crisis after maxing out her credit card at Lacey's. He offered to use his computer skills to wipe out her debt. Once Marty's mission was complete, Di marveled at his savvy and subtly picked up more info about the scope of Marty's abilities. She then reported her findings to Ryan. Di was certain that Marty helped Zach orchestrate the power outage. Ryan then had an idea about how to make Marty tell them what they need to know.

Back at the Chandler manse, Babe and JR continued their argument about the prenup as a hidden Janet listened in. She said she wouldn't sign the papers even if it meant they were over, but he wouldn't budge. Babe asked if his position would change if she was pregnant.

Aidan and Jamie investigated the now-empty warehouse, where Aidan detected the presence of oatmeal. Jamie discovered the secret exit and Aidan identified spirit gum, which is used for adhering fake mustaches and the like. Another discovery: A blonde-haired doll. After Jamie left, Aidan found a hair.

Janet showed up at Amanda's with her luggage, explaining that she'd used the secret passageway to escape after Jamie came back to the warehouse. Amanda tried to drag Janet to the hospital, but Janet refused to go. Jamie then returned, so Janet hit. Jamie revealed to Amanda that he went to the warehouse and showed her the doll. He begged her to come clean with him. "I'm innocent!" she maintained, warning Jamie that she would never trust him again. Janet then knocked Jamie unconscious as a horrified Amanda looked on. "This stops now!" Amanda barked to Janet, who escaped when Amanda turned her back.

At the jailhouse, Erica told Jonathan about how she came to stab "Michael". She was terribly shaken and wondered if she was losing her mind, a condition Jon could relate to. Jack arrived, much to Erica's relief. "I don't even know why I'm in here," she sobbed. "What did I do?" Jack broke the news that she'd stabbed Zach; she explained that she thought she'd been defending herself against Michael. Erica swore that she hadn't been drinking or taking pills. Jon started to pipe up, but Jack bellowed at him to shut up. At Erica's urging, Jon continued, pointing out that Greenlee, when under the influence of anti-psychotics, had behaved in a similarly disturbed fashion. Jack demanded that Derek release Erica so that she could undergo drug testing. Derek reluctantly agreed.

In the hospital waiting room, Kendall informed Ryan that Erica had stabbed Zach and accused him of wanting Zach to die, a charge he denied. Meanwhile, doctors worked frantically to stop Zach from bleeding to death. Kendall asked Ryan why he broke into Zach's office; he demurred that he was simply trying to find out if Zach was really a threat to him.... Zach had a terrifying vision of his dead father, Alexander, and late brother, Michael, in which Alex warned Zach that he'd never marry Kendall. Ryan then materialized in Zach's reverie, gloating about Zach's demise... After Kendall bolted from Ryan's side, Ethan met up with Ryan and they discussed Ryan's investigation into Zach's role in the blackout. Simone approached Kendall and ended up revealing to her pal that Ryan suspects Zach of causing the power outage.... Anita took Kendall to see Zach after his surgery was complete. Zach regained consciousness when he heard Kendall's voice calling to him.

Marty and Di had a warm reunion at the casino; he knew her from her days as a dancer. Marty offered to hire her in Zach's absence. Tad entered as Marty and Di were standing close and laughing about old times. After Marty left, Di gleefully reported to Tad that she'd gotten the job, but he worried about her safety. She pointed out that she can take care of herself. Tad then told Di that he has a new theory about Greg's connection to Erica — and he hopes that he's wrong.

Chaos broke out when a drugged Erica plunged a knife into Zach. "I am doing this for Kendall!" she cried. The effects of the drug then wore off and Erica collapsed in sobs. When the cops arrived, Zach tried to protect Erica, but his wound was discovered and a witness betrayed what Erica had done.... Josh covertly soiled Erica's name to a tabloid reporter and privately gloated when Jesse remarked that Erica might have just destroyed her career. A woozy Erica was placed under arrest as Josh assured her that everything would be fine. An associate of Zach's then recognized Di as a past acquaintance.

At the hospital, Aidan and Erin ran into Lily, who informed them that she's on a mission to clear Jonathan's name. Lily lashed out at Erin when she suggested that Lily abandon the cause. Erin was moved by Lily's faith in her brother.... Jon was doing sit-ups in his jail cell when Ryan came by. Ryan assured Jonathan that they would find the woman who was setting him up.... Lily visited Jon in the hopes of uncovering more clues about the mystery lady. With her prompting, he recalls that the woman's outfit came from a costume shop called Crazee Costumes.

Janet vehemently insisted to Amanda that Jamie can't be trusted. Janet's rants unnerved Amanda. The ladies heard a noise, so Janet hid. Jamie then materialized and claimed that he'd followed her not because he didn't trust her but because he was worried about her. Much to Janet's delight, Amanda lied to Jamie about what she was doing at the warehouse. After Jamie and Amanda left, Janet plotted Jamie's downfall.... Jamie tried to get Amanda to open up but hit a brick wall, so Jamie called Aidan and arranged to meet him at the warehouse.

Babe reeled from the condition in JR's prenuptial agreement that granted full custody of Little Adam to JR in the event of a divorce. "Please tell me this is some sort of sick joke," she said. JR replied that if it came down to a choice between her and their son, he would not lose Little A. JR told Babe that he doesn't want to lose her but admitted that he doesn't think their marriage will last. Babe remarked that she wouldn't be punished for Di's betrayal of his trust. "If I sign this, I am giving you the go-ahead to make my life torture," she wept, brandishing the documents in JR's face and explaining why she refused to sign them. JR couldn't believe that Babe was willing to walk away, but she returned Dixie's necklace and left JR alone in the park.

Ryan was at the hospital when Zach was wheeled in. A freaked-out Kendall demanded to know what was happening to Zach; Ryan tried to comfort her as doctors worked to revive Zach.

Erica was placed in the jail cell across from Jonathan's. "You don't have to be scared," he assured her. "I'll take care of you."
